CO-MOTION CYCLES 2007
A pair of skilled hands turns the handles of a custom-made bottom-bracket facing tool. Nearby, the sound of asingle strap of emery cloth polishing and gently shapinga brazed joint can be heard. To the left, the slow pulsingflash of a carefully controlled TIG welder. A few stepsaway, mill and lathe operators execute the precise cutsthat make our custom-drawn butted tubing into theintegral parts of a Co-Motion bicycle frame. Just beyond, skilled artisans carefully take turns preparing each framefor paint, or painting in multiple stages in our world-classdowndraft booth.
Craftsmanship—it’s a work ethic and a philosophythat’s often touted but seldom adhered to elsewhere.Producing the finest bicycles in the world isn’t aboutautomation. We believe craftsmanship defines the
CO-MOTION CRAFTSMANSHIPpersonal connection between our bicycles and our-selves. Our commitment to the hard work and to thedetails of making better bicycles is evident not only inour bicycles, but in the people who work here as well.A visit to Co-Motion Cycles illustrates our open andhonest style. We take pride in what we do because weknow we’re doing it right.

At Co-Motion Cycles, turning ideas into bicycles ismore than just giving someone an order. The bicycles wetake pride in reflect a logical progression of bicycles fromour past experience—from the bicycles we ride ourselvesto those we build for our customers. Like many otherframebuilders, we began by building a few custombicycles for our friends. As time went on, we developednew bicycle models based on what our customers wereordering. We tracked our fitting data, and paid attentionwhen customers asked to change an angle here or there,or sought out improved components and innovations.Without question, our customers are the greatestinfluence on the continuing evolution of the bicycles inthis catalog.

The Co-Motion Tandem difference We have longenjoyed a reputation for building tandems that simplyhandle better as we work relentlessly to improve tandemdesign using better materials and construction methodswhile integrating the latest components to help you getmore out of tandeming. Precision handling isn’t just morefun—it makes our tandems safer and easier to control.A sluggish-handling bike might lull you into a false senseof security, but when it comes to avoiding obstacles, orexecuting a perfect mountain descent, no tandem willrespond like a Co-Motion. Experienced cyclists find thatthey don’t have to relearn bike handling, while newcyclists find that riding a Co-Motion tandem is easierthan they ever imagined.
Can your Co-Motion tandem read your mind?Your Co-Motion always seems to know exactly whereyou want to go because our tandems never requireover-steering, with excellent tandem forks for everymodel. Our hand built Cro-Moly tandem fork providessuperb lateral rigidity and a smooth ride. TheCo-Motion/WoundUp carbon tandem fork is designedto fit Co-Motion road tandem geometry and makes agreat upgrade. Making the most of the incredibly light,superb-riding new Alpha Q X-2 tandem fork meansspecially designed geometry, incorporated into ourweightless new Macchiato, the zippy new PeriScopeHammerhead and our renowned and freshly redesignedRobusta and Supremo race tandems. Better handlingisn’t simply a formula. We bring into harmony
intelligent design, Co-Motion-exclusive materials, and thoughtfully selected components to achieve thesuperior handling and better fit that make the tandemsin this catalog unmistakably Co-Motion.
Relax. You’re in control. Better control means you canrelax and enjoy the ride. Confidence in your bicycle willmake you a better cyclist, whether you’re stoking orcaptaining. When you know that your tandem will doexactly what you ask, you’ll be able to relax your upperbody, let your spine flex and respond as you ride, andloosen your grip on the handlebars. Because you’llexpend less energy on control, you’ll have more toinvest in pedaling. It’s no wonder a Co-Motion feelseasier to ride.

PaintCo-Motion is known for exceptionally beautiful paintwork.Other bike manufacturers have been known to visit our facilityand marvel at the space we’ve dedicated to our two downdraftpaint booths, where our certified PPG paint technicianscomplete a multi-stage, catalyzed process on each frame for atough, long lasting finish. For a personal look, you can choosefrom our 45 paint colors on page 31 or select from infinitecustom finish options, many of them pictured on our website.
Better TubingThe tubing that your tandem is constructed fromplays a huge role in its behavior. We have engi-neered every Co-Motion tandem tube to deliver acomfortable ride while demonstrating incrediblelateral rigidity. Every tube, from the taperedchainstay to the double-butted downtube isthoughtfully profiled for optimal tandem applica-tion. Our continuous length top and lateral tubesare butted at both ends as well as in the centersection, an expensive and complex zone-by-zonebutting process.
Our Speedster, Mocha and Supremo tandemmodels are built with our improved tandem tubesetmade from our own exclusive zonally-buttedReynolds 631 tubing. This air-hardening tubing hasconsiderably higher tensile strength and fatiguelife, resulting in a lighter, stronger frame.
For our Co-Pilot Option S+S Coupler-equippedmodels, we have profiled each tube to bettersupport the installation of S+S Bicycle TorqueCouplings. No other company has gone to theextremes we have to design the bicycle aroundthe S+S coupling and improve travel-ability. All ofour tube designs are exclusive to Co-Motion andunavailable to other manufacturers.
Our Roadster, Robusta, Macchiato and Hammerheadaluminum tandems are made from newly redesignedzonally-butted ACMUltra 7005 tandem tubing. Wehave created better riding, lighter weight and moreprecisely constructed aluminum tandems thanyou’ve seen before by using continuous large-diameter top and lateral tubes, rather than bulgedor two-piece tubes. Our ACMUltra 7005 tandemtubeset’s positionally-specific tubes allow furtherremoval of unnecessary weight.
WheelsOur 145mm rear axle spacingis the standard of the tandemindustry, allowing plenty of room for9 and 10-speed wide-range cassettes, excellent chainline, and hub-mountedbrakes. Symmetrically constructedwheels assure a lifetime of solidperformance.
Contoured StaysFor improved tire andheel clearance, ourcustom seatstays andchainstays are gracefullycurved (above).
CO-MOTION TANDEM FEATURES
Finish WorkNothing compares with a Co-Motionin the finish quality department.Perfect metalwork, precise machining, and impeccable detailing areexpected on a Co-Motion bicycle, and we deliver. Ask any Co-Motionowner, or better yet, take a closelook at the finer details of one of ourbicycles for yourself.
Hub-MountedBrake OptionsDisc brakes have come a long way inrecent years, and we’ve found the AvidMechanical disc—standard on many ofour tandem models, and optional on mostmodels—to be an extremely reliable andoutstandingly powerful option as analternative to standard rim brakes. Manypeople prefer a disc brake because thebrake’s friction will not overheat rims inextreme conditions.
The Arai Drum Brake is the only brake werecommend as a supplemental dragbrake. An Arai drum brake can be fitted inaddition to the standard rim brakes, and isan excellent choice for tandem touring, heavier couples, or mountainous terrain. As a third brake, the Arai drum allowsexcellent braking using the rim brakes, and good heat dissipation and speedcontrol for long, difficult descents. TheArai drum brake is part of our touringpackage, or it can be ordered separately.
Beware of misleading information about butted tubing. Some tandem makersclaim to be the only ones using double-butted tubing. If you count thenumber of wall-thickness zones, our tandem tubes would be considered quint-butted. Interestingly, our zonally-butted tube profiles are asymmetrical, sincethe stoker and captain departments are quite different. We use the termzonally-butted because it clearly defines the intention of bicycle tube design, which is to reinforce the tubing at each intersection, while lightening the lessstressed zones in between, improving the ride of the bicycle.

Better ForksA key element to making Co-Motion tandems handle better is oursuperbly engineered forks. With several choices available for themany kinds of tandems we offer, everyframe is designed specifically for thefork it is paired with.
The excellent Co-Motion Cro-Moly forkthat guides many of our tandems isdesigned and built right here to suit thekind of handling and longevity webelieve is right. Our exclusive precision-machined steerer tube makes a superbfoundation for our custom drawntandem fork blades, shaped forexcellent road compliance with ideallateral rigidity. Our straight-bladed discfork features our own CNC-machineddisc dropout, designed to distributebraking loads over the length of thefork for improved rigidity and flawlessalignment. Co-Motion uses the industry-standard 1-1/8" steerer so nonstandard parts are never an issue.
The Co-Motion/WoundUp carbon fiber tandem fork was the firstcomposite fork made specifically for tandems. Our goal in this jointproject was prioritizing safety and strength, while achievingsignificant weight loss. The smooth, vibration-damping carbon ridemakes a great upgrade, this fork is compatible with most tandemframes equipped with 1-1/8" steerer tubes. It is made in threeversions: one for caliper brake mounts, one for linear-pull orcantilever brakes and a disc-brake version called the Duo.Whether you’re upgrading the tandem you already own, or yournew Co-Motion tandem, we’ve got the right fork for you.
This year, we’ve integrated Alpha Q’s new X-2 fork into the designof our Robusta and Supremo models, as well as the new PeriScopeHammerhead and Macchiato tandems. The incredible X-2 isexceptionally light, yet stronger than Alpha Q’s earlier tandemforks. Because its geometry is much different (short profile, caliperbakes only, fits tires no larger than 700x 28) the X-2 is not availableas an option on other models.
Stoker StemOur new lightweight standard aluminumadjustable stem allows for about 2.5cmof adjustability (above, top).
Our optional Max-Adjust stoker stem (above, bottom) provides more range of adjustmentthan any other type with a full 18cm of range.
We also offer a Max-Adjust captain’s stem,a great choice for a PeriScope tandem. All three stems are built with the emerging31.8 handlebar standard for improved rigidityand safety.
Fillet BrazingBeautifully executed craftsmanship. We have made a name for ourselvesas some of the industry’s finestcraftspeople with our glass-smoothfillet brazing. If you would like toadd the elegance of fine filletbrazing to your Co-Motion, we nowoffer this option on any of our Cro-Moly and air-hardening steel models.
We Make Fitting EasyWith more stem choices than any other tandem maker, we helpyou get positioned comfortable and efficiently. Anatomical bendhandlebars prevent fatigue by providing more places to place yourhands, while helping you reach the controls with ease.
Better PartsWe go to great lengths to select the mostappropriate parts for our tandems. We striveto use components on our models that are incommon use throughout the bicycle industry, andunderstood by any mechanic at your local bike shop, like 1-1/8" head tube diameter. Our componentselection will never leave you stranded.
For those parts that are truly unique to tandems, not only have we worked with our suppliers tointegrate the latest innovations in componentry likeexternal bottom bracket bearings, hollow crankspindles and 10-speed cogsets, we are alwaysexploring our own solutions to tandemcomponentry and frame design in house.

Its smallerdiameter 26" wheels are amazingly strong, and many people also prefer them for theirworldwide availability and even for thereduced gear ratios due to their size.
The Mocha’s design and geometry exhibitsthe handling theory that is Co-Motion’strademark. You’ve heard that our tandemshandle better, and the Mocha is no excep-tion. It responds to rider input naturally andwithout hesitation, giving you extraconfidence to push yourselves just a littleharder, and have a lot more fun!

SUPREMO
SUPREMO CO-P ILOT
There really are no other contenders whenit comes to the lightest, most competitiveand best performing tandems. The fact thatCo-Motion makes some of the best perform-ing tandems in the world is no secret. Thatour groundbreaking 30 lb. Supremo is builton a steel frame exemplifies our commitmentto pushing the envelope further.
You’ll have to look at tandems made fromexotic metals or carbon to find a tandem aslight as our new Supremo—matching itsperformance or the artistry of its constructionis completely out of the question. We’ve spentyears perfecting the Supremo’s geometry, balance, and its super-strong Reynolds 631zonally-butted air-hardened steel tubes toconcentrate the strength where it is mostneeded to channel your energy.
Besides the most sophisticated steel tubesetthat has ever graced a tandem frame, wecontinue to improve the breed with newlydeveloped components and proven perform-ers. The superb new Alpha Q X-2 carbontandem fork provides superb navigationwith unprecedented light weight. Clip inand spin the excellent FSA SLK MegaExocrankset, click through the Shimano DuraAce or Campagnolo Record drivetrain, andsavor the cool stuff that you had on yourwish list anyway. You know you want to.
You’ll be awestruck by the Supremo’sbreathtaking acceleration, effortlessclimbing, and smooth, precise road manners.Riding the Supremo will get your heartracing like climbing into a Formula One racecar at Monaco. You’ll be too absorbedin the perfection of performance to noticeyou’re well over the speed limit. Wipe thatgrin off your face.

ROBUSTA
The 27.7 lb Co-Motion Robusta painted Sunrise Pearl fading to Bittersweet Pearl and featuring our new carbon fork and seatposts by Alpha Q.
You’ve been cycling long enough to knowwhat a correctly engineered and well-constructed bicycle can do. Fanciful market-ing or scare tactics in the sales literature ofpretenders does not sway you. Nor will yoube seduced by the latest materials craze. Yousimply want every gram of performance youcan get.
Building the lightest, best-performingtandems available is more than simplyshaving metal or choosing underweightcomponents. Anybody can make lightweightbikes, but constructing tandems that holdnumerous national and international titles isa rarity. The Robusta is a proven performerthat has not only rocketed scores of athletesinto first place, it also holds up to the rigorsof innumerable training miles with ease.
Yes, the Robusta is lighter than ever before. We just can’t stop tweaking its performance, tuning the ride to direct more of yourmuscle power to those two little patcheswhere the rubber burns up the road. Howdid we do it? We designed theRobusta’s new incredibly lightzonally-butted ACMUltra7 tubing, and reworked the geometry aroundthe very sexy new Alpha Q X-2tandem fork. In fact, we redesignedevery millimeter of the Robusta, making it more performance-oriented than ever, while droppingits weight to a jaw-dropping 27.7lbs. Of course, it’s the ride qualitythat really counts. Wind up thistandem’s tachometer and let thedriven soul that has made theRobusta a legendary performershow you what it can do.

Beautiful, light and fast. At 24 pounds as equipped, this highly caffeinated tandem is designed for pure speed.Shown in Snowhite Pearl, it’s in a class of its own.
When Co-Motion Cycles introduced its firsttandems 19 years ago, we were consideredradical oddballs to design tandems just forpeople who like to go fast. We didn’t thinkit was so crazy to make tandems more likethe bicycles we all love to ride, so wecontinued dreaming up new ideas whilewe built our company making elegant, exhilarating, beautiful tandems.
Because the Macchiato looks different,it will be the subject of much speculation. The race to make better tandems has taughtus the importance of simplicity. Making alighter tandem means using less material, while rethinking where the material thatmust be used is most effective. In the trueminimalist sensibility, we’ve pared theMacchiato down to its essential elements, stripping away tradition along withunnecessary mass.
With its impossibly low weight, theMacchiato is equally surreal in performance. When it comes to putting cleat to pedal, theMacchiato very, very real. You won’t missthe tradition, the other tube, or the extraweight of other tandems when you fly upthe climbs and outstrip your personal bestswith unbelievable speed.
While outwardly simple, thecompact design of the Macchiatorepresents a reinvention of virtuallyevery tube in its construction. Ournew ACMUltra7 tubes cannot befound elsewhere. The Macchiato’simpressively sized bi-oval downtubeintersects with a deeply machinedheadtube, radically profiled zonally-butted top tube, and optimallyovalized seattubes, forming amuscular, compact stature.
Designed and custom constructed justfor you, we go the extra mile to makecertain your Macchiato is perfectly fittedand balanced to focus your strengths andharness the power of teamwork, and thepower of new ideas.

With effortless telescoping adjustability it’seasy to see why we named our revolutionaryline of family-style tandems the PeriScope.Designed to accommodate people of alldifferent sizes with fun and style, thePeriScope 26 is the perfect tandem forfamilies on the go.
The heart of the PeriScope design is ourdouble seat mast system, which providesfour times the range of adjustabilityof other tandems and accommodatesriders from 3 ft. to over 6 ft. Think of thePeriScope’s telescoping, precision aluminumseat mast and quick-release double-clamping system as a seat post within a seatpost that adjusts to fit virtually anyone.
The simplified frame you see in eachPeriScope uses specially designed exception-ally large diameter, zonally-butted tubing.Whichever PeriScope model you choosefeatures the lightweight and rigid compactframe design that supports the tall and thesmall with admirable performance. Safety, comfort and reliability never take a backseat to the design priorities of achievingexceptional stand-over clearance and user-friendly comfort.
We’ve taken great care with the PeriScopeline’s component selection as you’d expectfrom Co-Motion. You’ll find top-quality,tandem-ready components from the value-priced PeriScope Scout to the zingy newPeriScope Hammerhead.
The Co-Motion PeriScope Family Plan wasdesigned with growing families in mind butperforms outstandingly with virtually anycombination of riders. Really. Take one onyour club ride and then ride with your kidto the local park.
We’ve worked hard to develop thePeriScope Family into the most adaptabletandem in the world. Imagine the possibili-ties with your kids, your spouse and yourfriends. A Co-Motion PeriScope for yourfamily represents your commitment to ahealthy, inclusive lifestyle today and foryears to come.
Choose a 26" model PeriScope Scoutor PeriScope Torpedo for ease of use.26" wheels are tougher and they can takefatter tires, but don’t roll quite as fast as700c wheels. The 26" models will fit smallerriders than the 700c models. See sizing infofor details. If you enjoy road riding and youprefer 700c wheels, we recommend theScout 700, Torpedo 700 or the PeriScopeHammerhead. The 700c format gives up alittle of the sizing range that the 26" modelsoffer, with lesser ability to fit a small rider infront, and it requires a slightly larger stokeras well. How much of your family would youlike to fit on one bike? The PeriScopeTrident and Trident Convertible tripletexpand on the concept by placing threeriders together. Yes, we also make PeriScopequads and quints!

Of course, once you trya Co-Motion PeriScope, you realize it’s muchmore than just a super-adjustable tandem—it’s a very fine tandem that will impress youno matter what your experience or skilllevel. PeriScopes are showing up at tandemraces, centuries, cross-state rides, tours, andschool doorsteps, where Moms and Dadsdrop off and pick up kids thrilled to get toschool in a way that’s so much cooler thanthe bus or family sedan.

PERISCOPE HAMMERHEAD
Just when you thought it was safe toget back in the water… The PeriScopeHammerhead pushes the PeriScope Familya step farther, taking performance up anotch higher than we expected to go.Everything you wanted in a tandem andthen some—superb adjustability suddenlysheds a couple of pounds.
The PeriScope Hammerhead’s ACMUltra7aluminum frame puts it in some pretty sleekcompany. Lighter than our Roadster, approaching the breakthrough weight ofour Robusta or our new Macchiato. TheHammerhead’s PeriScope features are fullyexplained on page 13. What is harder toexplain is how the PeriScope concept hastaught us new things about performancetandems as we develop new designs andwatch how these amazing tandems getused. We never expected to introduce aperformance PeriScope when we first beganwork on the idea years ago. Nor did weexpect the PeriScope to change our thinkingabout tandem design.
We visualize the PeriScopeHammerhead’s ideal team as say,a category 2 racer dad who wantsto get his kid and his wife to sharea little training time with him. Hecould wait until the kid will fit anordinary tandem, but why not geta PeriScope Hammerhead and teachthe kid how to spin maybe evenbefore the training wheels comeoff the little pink or blue bike inthe garage. Of course, knowing howother PeriScope buyers have beenfull of surprises, we’ll do our best toprepare for the Hammerhead to zipout of sonar range, only to circleback and show us what those teethcan really do!

Remember how you used to ride togetherbefore the kid came along? Your lives changeas your family grows. You take a bike rideafter work; your spouse goes to the gym inthe morning while you watch the kid. Youfind yourself thinking that in spite of thefamily bond you’ve all found together, youspend far too much time apart. Isn’t it timeto bring it all back together?
Our innovative PeriScope tandems havebeen embraced as the most versatile family-friendly tandems made. We developed thePeriScope Trident in response to yourfeedback to push the PeriScope concept astep further.
Like your growing family, the PeriScopeTrident and Trident Convertible area natural progression for our family ofPeriScope tandems. We like to growwith you, and using ourinnovative telescopingseat mast system, we’vemade it easy for you toadjust your Trident forvirtually any three peoplewho want to ride!
For families embracingcycling as part of theirlifestyle, a triplet is anideal way to include achild in family cycling adventures withoutresorting to a trailer or a babysitter. Withyour guidance, your child can ride with yousafely and comfortably at your speed, whilelearning the importance of family teamworkand unity.
Both the PeriScope Trident and TridentConvertible have incredible fitting capabilityfor nearly every family. The Trident Convert-ible has the added ability to convert fromtriplet to tandem (double). If you’reuncertain that you want a full-time triplet, now you have the option of a triplet thatcan also serve as a tandem.

Please Note: Most airlines stipulate a limit of 62 linear inches for “checkable”luggage. Linear dimensions are the sum of the luggage’s length, width, andheight. The luggage we offer for our Co-Pilot bicycles is 62 linear inches or less.
Many other brands of travel bicycles and cases that are now being marketed asairline checkable actually exceed this 62 linear inch luggage limitation. Largerluggage is subject to surcharges and possible rerouting due to luggagecompartment limitations on some aircraft.
The Designer Hard Case from S & S Machineprovides a tough ABS plastic shell with aninterlocking perimeter lip for a tough enclosure.Low-profile wheels and pull handle make it asnap to maneuver your bike through crowdedairports. An external nylon webbing strapprovides added security to keep your valuablebike safely contained.(26"x 26"x 10"= 62 linear inches)
The S+S Backpack Case offers excellentversatility, especially for those who like to travellight. Constructed of heavy-duty Cordura nylon, this case is internally supported with an ABSplastic perimeter that velcros in place to protectyour bicycle. You can carry your bike on yourback using the backpack straps, (though youwon’t want to carry it far) or use it carry otheritems once the bike is removed. When notholding a bike, the backpack case collapses intoan easy-to-store package.(26"x 26"x 10"= 62 linear inches when full, approx. 26"x 10"x 3"collapsed for storage)
We designed our Co-Pilot Hybrid Case witheverything we’ve ever wanted in a travel case, and it comes with our highest recommendation. With a tough nylon fabric shell and ballisticcorner reinforcements, it’s got protective panelsto keep your bike safe. We fitted it with largersmooth-rolling wheels and a hidden telescopingPullman handle to make toting your bike aroundlong airport causeways much easier. This caserolls so nicely you can toss your other bag on toroll along with it. Webbing straps surround thebag’s contents, and heavy-duty zippers provideadded security.(26"x 26"x 10"= 62 linear inches)
Introduced in 1993, the S+S Machine Bicycle TorqueCoupling forever changed the image of travel bikes, making odd-looking folding bikes with non-standardparts obsolete. With the S+S Coupling, a true highperformance bicycle can be separated and packed fortravel quickly and easily in airline-checkable luggage. Our expert integration of the S+S Couplings will makeyou forget that the couplings are there, until it’s timeto pack up your bike and go!
In 1994, we launched the Co-Motion Co-PilotProject, becoming the first bicycle company in theworld to offer bicycles with S+S Couplings as astandard feature. Since then, we have expandedthe Co-Pilot Project by making S+S Couplingsavailable on any Cro-Moly steel Co-Motion tandemor single. Just say, “Co-Pilot” and we’ll make yourCo-Motion into a world-class travel bike. As theleading maker of S+S Coupling equipped bicycles,Co-Motion Cycles has the expertise to ensure thatyour travel bike is without equal.
A close look at the elegant S+S Machine BicycleTorque Coupling reveals the engineering thatallows the system to work so perfectly. Interlockingtapered teeth are drawn together by a threadedlockring. Incredibly, a well-made BTC-equippedbicycle frame is measurably stronger than anidentical frame without couplings. We silver brazethe S+S Couplings into our specially designed Co-Pilot Project tubing before hand-building yourbicycle frame.
Because we know you expect the best, Co-MotionCycles uses only hardened 17-4 stainless steel S+SCouplings. Many builders use weld-on couplingsmade from lower-grade stainless or even non-stainless material to reduce cost and speed upbicycle production. Hardened 17-4 stainless S+SCouplings assure a lifetime of flawless and corro-sion-free operation. We know that once you own aCo-Pilot, you’ll want to keep it forever.

Co-Motion blazed a new trail for travel tandemswith a brilliant Six-Coupling system. Since our Co-Pilottandem frames separate into three sections, assemblyand disassembly is intelligently simplified. There’s noway to assemble out of sequence, no need to removethe fork, and there are no separate tubes to lose. Plus,we strategically locate our couplings for easy accesswithout knuckle-bashing interference from thechainrings. Our competitors simply overlook thesedetails that make your packing job easier.
No tandem maker is more thorough than Co-Motionwhen it comes to engineering the location of thecouplings for optimum frame strength. Each couplingis fully supported where it is integrated into the butted
Packing a genuine Co-Pilottandem takes less time than little-wheeled folding tandems. Ourthree-section design and easy-access couplers keep your packingjob simple. Two cases recom-mended for worry-free travel.
Packing your Co-Motion travelbike is simple, and you don’t haveto be a mechanical ace to do itright. In fact, the only unusualpart on our travel bikes is theS+S BTC. Cordura nylon paddedsleeves with a velcro backingprotect your frame inside its case.
section of our exclusive zonally-butted Co-Pilot Projecttandem tubing. Our large diameter bottom tube is ovalat both ends and round where it joins just one largeS+S Coupling.
This design provides the known structural benefit of asingle oversized tube as well as lighter weight and thelogical simplicity of handling fewer parts. And yes, theround S+S Coupling is superior to the “oval coupler”offered elsewhere.
The Co-Pilot option will be a pleasant surprise on anyCo-Motion tandem you choose. The performance is soimpressive, you may end up sidelining the tandemyou’re riding now.
Add the Co-Pilot option to your Co-Motion tandem
Naturally, the best reason to own a Co-Pilot is that younever have to leave your passion for cycling behind whenyou travel. Your Co-Pilot checks on as regular luggage, saving you money and hassles each time you travel. Bestof all, you’ll maintain your fitness while the world becomesyour cycling playground.
Each Co-Pilot single or tandem includes a complete color-illustrated instruction booklet and an instructional CD youcan play on your computer or DVD player. See our Co-Pilotpacking slideshows at www.co-motion.com
