Dear Doctors,Its a great pleasure to cordially invite you to CME on “UNM Fetal Cardiology Symposium 2018” to be held on 10th -11th March 2018 at our Institute. It is being organi ed jointly by the sDepartments of Radio-imaging and Paediatric Cardiology. This one and a half day symposium will discuss various concepts and techniques of fetal echocardiography with practical tips for diagnosis of anomalies. It will provide a fully updated, state-of-the art program presented by esteemed multi disciplinary faculties and retaining its clinical focus on detailed fetal cardiac ultrasound. Dr. Girish Patel, Is an obstetrician with special interest in fetal medicine, also doing neonatal and adult echo, presented paper in “WASHINGTON-FIGO 2000” on “Transperineal Sonography In Diagnosis of Placenta Previa”. He has conducted many workshops, delivered many presentations and attended more than 250 CMEs. Presently he is secretary of Gujarat chapter of society of fetal medicine.

Dr. Bhavik Champaneri, He has done his DM in Paediatric Cardiology from amrita institute of medical sciences, Kochi (AIMS) and joined our institute as Assistant Professor in Paediatric Cardiology since March 2017. His areas of special interests include fetal echo, basic cardiac MRI for CHDs and all trans-catheter interventions for CHDs including neonatal interventions among others. He has many oral presentations and publications credited to him. His thesis of Paediatric Cardiology was ‘Impact of congenital heart surgery on quality of life of children’.

Dr. Tarun Parmar, has done his FNB in Paediatric Cardiology from Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore and joined as Assistant Professor in Paediatric Cardiology at UNMICRC from June 2016. His skills and expertise include ASD/PDA/VSD device closure, pediatric diagnostic catheterization, balloon dilatation procedures and transthoracic as well as trans-esophageal echocardiography among others. He has attended various conferences and CMEs and also participated as faculty speaker.

Dr. Hitesh Bhatt, MD, PGDMLS, LLB – consultant gynaecologist and medicolegal consultant since last 18 years, he has been a part of ethics and medicolegal committee FOGSI from 2014 to 2016. He has authored books like “Consents in Obs & Gyn”; “LAW:Doctor must know”. He has been invited as national faculty at many national and state conferences, delivered more than 500 talks, is a medicolegal consultant to 50 hospitals across India, Severed as office bearer for IMA, AMC, MOGS, AFG and is a life member of “Film writer’s association; Mumbai”.

Dr. B.I.Patel, M.D., DGO, FICMU, he is one of the pioneer workers in conventional, TVS, 3D-4D, Doppler in obstetrics and interventional sonography. He has been trained for fetal medicine in USA, Australia; has attended many workshops in India as well as abroad as faculty. He is running FOGSI USG training centre since last 25 years and trained more than 600 gynecologists till date. He has been felicitated by Ahmedabad Medical Association for excellence in medical field, felicitated by Red cross society and government of Gujarat for work for thalassemia, awarded for outstanding contribution by FOGSI science committee, working as Hon. Secretary of Gujarat medical journal since last 20 years.

Dr. Shetal Desai, MD, Obs & Gyn. She is managing director of Infocus Diagnostics, Gujarat; has been practising fetal medicine for almost 15 years with special interest in fetal neuroimaging and fetal MRI. She is pioneer and Ex. Hon Faculty Fetal Medicine, VS hospital and has also been associated with Gynec Oncology Department GCRI.

Dr. Megha Sheth, DMRD, Radiodiagnosis, she joined our institute in May, 2012. Her areas of special interest includes congenital heart diseases and female imaging. She has various lectures, papers and case reports : national as well as international credited in her name. She has also been a faculty in various conferences and CMEs and involved in various academic activities.

Dr. Samir Patel, DMRD, radiodiagnosis, has been working with UNMehta Institute since December, 2011. His area of special interest includes fetal echocardiography and congenital heart diseases. He has presented papers in various national and international conferences and journals including RSNA, NASCI, IJSR to name among. He has also participated in a number of national and local level conferences and CMEs as faculty, also involved in academic activities at our institute.

Dr. B. S. Ramamurthy, Director of Srinivasa Ultrasound Scanning Centre, Bangalore. Over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecological ultrasound. Positions Held: Chief Patron - Medical Ultrasound Society of Karnataka; Vice President - Society of Fetal Medicine and Genetics; Co-ordinator - Fetal Foundation of India; On the Editorial Board - Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging; On the Editorial Board - Indian Journal of Medical Ultrasound.

Dr. Balu Vaidyanathan, Clinical Professor; Department of Paediatric cardiology, Head Fetal Cardiology Division, Amrita Institute of Medical sciences; AIMS . He has done M.D Pediatrics, D.N.B in Pediatrics, D.M Cardiology, Fellow (post DM) in Pediatric Cardiology, Commonwealth fellowship in Fetal Cardiology and Fellow of American College of Cardiology FACC. Selected for the Commonwealth Fellowship Plan UK 2006 in field of Cardiology (nominated by the Department of Higher and secondary education, ministry of human resources development, Govt. Of India). He is recipient (Team Member) of the BMJ Healthcare award, India for quality improvement in heath care, 2014 ( For the Pediatric cardiac team, AIMS). State coordinator, National Health Mission – Government of Kerala training program for fetal cardiac screening for obstetricians and radiologists. He has 20 years of vast experience, Overseas training and exposure, many publications, Review articles, Textbook chapters, Educational material credited to him. He has taken total 230 lectures in various state, national and international conferences, conducted live workshops and is on editorial boards of many prestigious journals.
