Program Outcomes (POs)

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of

mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex

engineering problems.

Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems

reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of

mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system

components or processes that meet the specified needs with

appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use

research- based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data,

and synthesis of the information to provide valid

conclusions.

Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools

including prediction and modeling to complex engineering

activities with an understanding of the limitations. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by

the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety,

legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of

the professional engineering solutions in societal and

environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional

ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering

practice.

engineering activities with the engineering community and

(India) for the project entitled “Automatic Book Reading System for Visually

Impaired Person using Deep Learning”.

Dr.M.Kaliappan, completed phase II six modules of IUCEE International

Engineering Educators Certification Program (IIEECP) with distinction and the

score of 94%.

Mr.K.Vignesh Saravanan, AP/CSE successfully completed One-month “Research

Sabbatical on AI and Deep Learning” at Bennett University, Greater Noida during

3.1. WORKSHOP

The Department of CSE and NVIDIA Bennett Research Centre, Bennett University, Noida

and SS Information System Pvt. Ltd. Chennai has jointly organized a 2-day Workshop on

“NVIDIA GPU, Kubernetes and Machine Learning Frameworks” during 25.07.2019

to 26.07.2019. 50 participants including faculty members and Students attended the

workshop. Mr.MangalaPandi, Technical Head, SS Information Systems Pvt. Ltd., handled

the session on setting up and usage of Kubbernetes clusters for running deep learning

applications. Participants were exposed to the hands on session to install and use

Kubernetes cluster in NVIDIA powered GPU. They also deployed Tensorflow based ML

Application in Kubernetes Cluster.

Department of CSE conducted Course on “Certified Secure Computer User- An Insight“

during 18th & 19th August 2019. Mr. Ashok Kumar, TIFAC CORE in Cyber Security, Amrita

Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, ddelivered interactive Hands on Session. He taught how

operating system works with the applications installed over on it. Ms. R Santhiya, Instructor,

started the course’s first module with the basic concepts of security and she gave the

importance of making the things secured with real-time applications. Nearly 46 Students

practiced on session.

As a part of State Level Technical Symposium TechYuga 2K19, a “Workshop on

TensorFlow” was conducted on 31.08.2019. Our Ramco Institute of Technology is the

Lead Zonal Partner of Nation-wide Research Initiative on AI and Deep Learning hosted

by Bennett University, Noida under CSI. More than 50 students from 10 different

Engineering Colleges in Tamilnadu participated in the workshop.

Certified Secure Computer User (CSCU) workshop was conducted by Amrita

University on 18.08.2019 to 19.08.2019 in which S.Yeshwanthini of III CSE, P.Gowtham

of III CSE, G.R.Kavin Naresh of III CSE, V.Sudharsana Ramji of III CSE was qualified

and got Certified Secure Computer User Certification with good grade. Classes about

CSCU course content was delivered for I year CSE students from 24.09.2019 to

27.09.2019 by S.Yeshwanthini, III year CSE.

The department of CSE in association with ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Chennai

organized a certificate course on “ADX-201- Sales force Administrator” during

25.11.2019 to 30.11.2019. Mr.Sunil Borah, Senior Trainer and Mr.Mathivanan

Balakrishnan, Technical Trainer, ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Chennai handled the

entire session. They delivered a lecture on Salesforce Platform Basics, Trailhead Basics,

Data Security, User Authentication, Security Specialist Superbadge. In total 60 students

from III year CSE-43, II year CSE-2, III & II year Mech-14, III year Civil-1 were

participated in this programme.

The student representatives of IE(I)-CSE student chapter took initiative and planned the

event "Blind Coding", a typical game play where the participants should type the code with

their screens blacked out. R.Sriram Karthikeyan (III-CSE), M.Sasi Rekha (III-CSE),

S.Kavimalar (II-CSE), V.Vishnu Praba V (II-CSE) organized and conducted the event

on 07.08.2019 between 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm at AI & IOS Laboratory. M.Anushree, III-year

discussed the various challenges of an IOT initiative and how these can be overcome

by Priya Dronadula - Vice President - IT & Operations, Sodexo is arranged on 18.12.2019,

03:00 PM at CC-IV. The industry expert discussed the need for chatbot, and how it works.

She also elaborated the project lifecycle of Bot, type of tools to implement and industry

sample use cases. 5 students from II year CSE, 5 students from III year CSE and 20 students

9. TECHYUGA'19

State Level Technical Symposium (TECHYUGA’19) was organized by Ramco Institute of

Technology on 31.08.2019 . In this symposium, different events such as Situation Manager,

Coding Abacus, Crypt your mind, Bid the Questions, Paper presentation was conducted.

Situation Manager

In round-1 for each participant a product will be given as title and they have to market the

product. Round-2 is "block and tackle" where participants have to speak in favour and

against on the topic they have chosen. In Round-3 only one participant will be inside the

room, and will face many scenario based questions and they should handle the situation. The

title winner is Mr.V.N.Vishanth from Mepco Schlenk Engineering College and received a

cash prize of Rs.1000/-. Mr.J.Mareeswaran from Nadar Saraswathi College of Engineering

won the second prize of cash amount Rs.750/-.

In which 27 participants were participated, after three rounds, the Winner of the event was

secured by Mr.L Sundar Rajan , Einstein college of Engineering and Runner of the event
