End of year Bulletin Thank- you. Your hard work has enabled us to come together to develop a consistent and planned way forward. We have identified ways of working, priorities and key actions for the short, medium and long term. In order provide a consistent service for you, our students and wider stakeholders. We are committed to these shared values for the way we will work. If we are not demonstrating the following values with a focus on students we want to be challenged. This will include diarised dates and times (via Outlook) for the following aspects of everyday life at College. Every learning opportunity will include a Good Practice Guide (GPG).     An opportunity to identify where your expertise can contribute towards moving the college forward.

    MDP

    A Management Development Programme delivered in bite size chunks.

    Further information to follow if youre interested in signing up for this programme. It will be a

    combination of online seminars and face to face sessions. Covering everything from SAP, to having a

    challenging conversation and rewarding skills. A programme focussed on enabling people to shine.

    Operations

    Results day

    Level 3 Results: August 13

    Members of the Senior Team will be in College preparing our overall success rates and being

    prepared to meet and greet students collecting their results.

    Level 2 Results: August 20 A representative from the Senior Team will be present at each High School offering IAG. There will also be a team at the Coutanchez helping to advise students and their families of their options please contact Louise if you would be able to support this initiative.

    Enrolment Full time students: August 27 A letter will go out to prospective students identifying the time they need to arrive at LOC. The process will involve enrolment onto ProSolution, booking for Diagnostics and Initial Assessments, Results ratified and a transition meeting with the Learning Support Team. Part time students and apprentices: September 1

    This will follow the format as in previous years and take place between 5.30 8pm at LOC.

    Summer Work :

    Technical, Estates and IT support teams will be working hard over the summer break to develop and

    implement a programme of maintenance and improvement.

    T&L

    Thank- you to all those who attended the meeting on OTL and Coaches on Tuesday. 32 colleagues

    attended to hear more about how we are leading the way in ungraded observations and how our

    amazing approach to supporting professionals through coaching and professional learning

    communities has been positively received in the UK.

    Thank you to all those who have said they are interested in being part of these trailblazing teams.

    The T&L coach and OTL team development programme will commence in September.

  • NEWS:

    Course Developments and Recruitment

    There will be a recruitment round for potential students to some new part time provision over the

    summer we will be recruiting to a new enterprise course in retail starting in the autumn. This

    exciting development is a joint initiative with the Co-op and other retail organisations to enable

    people to see the amazing potential in this industry.

    The Certificate in Education will be recruiting potential students for the next cohort and there will

    also be a range of additional part time courses.

    QIP the new Quality Improvement plan draft 1 has been written. It takes forward the areas of

    Quality Improvement Plan

    We have been working on this in the last two days and you will be pleased to know it clearly

    identifies the areas we all need to prioritise at this point in the year.

    The self-evaluation process will confirm this and identify further areas for improvement.

    The link in Engage takes you to the draft QIP, this is a live document to guide us all.

    The central calendar will be available on mycfe and the website for September 1

    A College Identity has been targeted as one of our areas for improvement and September 1st will be the

    first opportunity to become engaged as part of the future college.
