June 2016
Hello Cloverly Families!
It’s hard to believe, but yet another school year is coming to a close in just afew days. The month of May is the grand finale for us and we once againwant to commend the Staff Appreciation committee, and all the contributingparents/volunteers, for a spectacular Teacher Appreciation Week where weshowed the Cloverly staff how much we value them all year long. And whata great Read-‐‑A-‐‑Thon we had! Wow-‐‑ all the students that participated and allthe hours of reading that occurred was impressive and helped the schoolraise funds needed for future programs and needs at Cloverly. All of itwould not have been possible without the organization of Irina Nalls and toher, we owe a big round of gratitude. Next we want to thank Brad Behr forcoordinating a stellar Science Fair for Cloverly students with a recordturnout this year. It’s always a pleasure to see our children learning andhaving fun at the same time. We alsowant to thank the HolmanFamily forpointing the ordering and full install-‐‑ation of Cloverly’s newgreen bikerackwhich can be found outsideof ourcafeteria windows. Nowwhen parentsand children bike to school, there is asturdy and secure area to prop up yourwheels. In caseyoumissed it, here it is:
Cloverly is a wondrous place and there are always so many people doingmany great & valuable things to make it even better. Since this is my lastletter, I would be remiss if I did not personally thank a specific group ofthose people-‐‑ the Executive Committee members that have given their all, every day, over the past couple of years. Congratulations them on a job welldone! They are: Sohail Mosaddegh (Treasurer), Natalia Chalmers (VP ofMembership), Irina Nalls (VP of Fundraising), Brad Behr (CorrespondingSecretary), and Wendy Clifford (Recording Secretary). These individualsexemplified dedication to the highest level and a ‘can do’ attitude always.Success belongs to those who work hard and these folks, indeed, workedhard.

Help Cloverly’s PTA Make $$:Recycle Your Toner, Ink and Cell Phones
Cloverly’s Recycling Program
The PTA is working with The Funding Factory to recycle old toner, ink cartridges and cell phones. When we collect enough material—20 pounds or 20 products—we send the items to The Funding Factory and they send us a check which we put towards programs for our kids!
For your convenience, we have two small recycling boxes available for you to drop off your materials to be recycled. One box is located underneath the teacher/staff mailboxes and the other is located in the teacher/staff lounge. For items too large for these boxes, please leave them in the PTA office.
We appreciate your continued support with the PTA recycling program! Please contact SohailMosaddegh at [email protected] any questions.
