Terms & Conventions

Text boxes containing a green circle andwhite “i” contain important informationpertaining to the use or configuration of the product. These may also contain tipsor recommendations from bibliotheca or bibliotheca customers.

1 OverviewThe cloudLibrary™assist is includedwith every selfCheck™which runs quickConnect™and extendsthe selfCheck™experience to a user’s smartphone. This document is intended for users who wish touse this feature of cloudLibrary™.

The guide will demonstrate features available through cloudLibrary™assist, such as digital receipts,relevant reminders and item renewal, as well as walk through how to use these functions and how toset up the app on a smartphone.

This document outlines the cloudLibrary™app assist and how to use the features that are available.


2 InstallationThe cloudLibrary™app can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS or from Google Play forAndroid smartphones.

1. Once downloaded, open the app and tap the cloudLibrary™welcome screen to continue.

2. From the drop down lists, select your Country, State/Region and Library and tapNext.

3. Once you have read the End User License Agreement, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, tapAccept.


4. Enter your Library Card ID information in the space provided and tap Login.

If a pin is associatedwith the account, you will also be asked to enter this beforeyou press Login.


3 Features3.1 Home screenThe cloudLibrary™assist Home Screen will display your virtual library card at the top of the screenand lists account notifications at the bottom.

3.2 Virtual library cardYour virtual library card works just like a physical card and can be used to check out material fromyour library’s collection.


1. Tap the barcode icon in the top right corner of your virtual library card to display the barcode.

2. Tap the icon again to flip to the front of the library card. The barcode then functions like aphysical card and can be scanned at any selfCheck™.


3.3 Edit your library cardTo make changes or add a new library card to the cloudLibrary™app, tap the View Cards icon onthe front of your card.


To add another library card, tap the Add New button in the top right corner of the screen and loginto cloudLibrary™with a new account.

Once a library card has been added to the app it will display in the All Cardswindow.

You can select; lock, edit, or remove to a card added to your cloudLibrary™app by selecting the

three dots icon to the right of any card.


If you would like to edit or lock the library card you currently have selected, tap theOptions icon onthe front of your library card.

Locking your library card will allow you to set up an access code that will berequired before that card can be selected.


The Edit Card option will allow you to personalize your cloudLibrary™account. From the edit screenyou can:

l Create a nickname for any of the library cards that have been added to your account.

l Choose an avatar that will display on the front of your library card or choose to upload animage from your device.

l Customize the color scheme of the cloudLibrary™app from one of the available colorchoices.


4 My booksThe Current tab in My Books will display all titles that are currently checked out under your account.


In the Current tab you canmark titles as read by tapping the greenMark Read button. The title willnow display asMarked Read.

To favourite an item, press the heart icon in the right hand corner. This will keep a record of all yourfavourited items.

These features will easily allow you to keep track of your favorite and previously read titles.


4.0.1 ReceiptsThe Receipts tab inMy Bookswill show titles that you have previously borrowed.

To arrange your items by Borrow date, Due date, Book Title (A-Z) andAuthor (A-Z) by selecting Sortand selecting your preference in the drop downmenu.


To filter the items that show in the Receipts tab, tap the filter icon in the top right-hand corner.

The Filter Receiptsmenuwill allow you to filter the items in Receipts by type and status.

Select your filtering criteria and tapApply to filter the items in your Receipts.


4.0.2 HoldsThe Holds tab will allow you to view available titles you have placed on hold.

To remove a title that you no longer want to borrow, tap the red Remove Holdbutton.


4.1My book bagTo access the My Book Bag feature, tap on the Bag icon in the lower right corner of anyMy Bookstab.


My Book Bag allows you to Pack books that you have checked out andwould like to return to thelibrary.

After you have packed all items, tap the All Done button at the bottom of the screen to exit theBook Bag.


5 AccountThe Account tab provides information and details about your cloudLibrary™. You can access youraccount by tapping the Account icon on the bottom right hand corner of the app. Here, you will beable to view Virtual Cards, Library Details, Notifications, Anonymous Usage Stat, Help and SupportandAbout. You can also Logout through the account section.

5.0.1 Library detailsTo view Library Details, tapAccount in the bottom right hand corner of the app.


Tap on Library Details to view the library you are currently logged into and the library’s location. Thismenu will also display the Library Card ID that is currently in use.


5.0.2 NotificationsThe Notifications menu on the Home Screen of the checkout will inform you of importantinformation related to your account.

5.0.2.1 Books due and borrowed

Top notifications will include books that need to be deactivated, books that have been borrowedand books that are soon due. By tapping on the notification a list of borrowed or due books will bedisplayed.

5.0.2.2 Notification settings

To access the Notification settings menu, tapAccount in the bottom right hand corner of the app,then tapNotifications.


The notifications menu allows you to enter an email address where you can receive cloudLibrary™notifications. You can also choose what type of notifications you would like to receive using thismenu.


5.0.3 Anonymous usage statTo view Anonymous Usage Stat, tap onAccount icon, then tap onAnonymous Usage Stat.


Use this menu if you would like to opt out or in of anonymous usage data collection.


5.0.4 Help and supportTo view Help and Support, tap onAccount icon, then tap on Help and Support.

The Help and Support menu provides helpful troubleshooting links if you're experiencing any issueswith the cloudLibrary™app.


5.0.5 Logging outTo log out of the app, select the Account icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, thenselect Logout at the bottom of the page.


6 Troubleshooting6.1 Issues with operating the cloudLibrary™ app

1. Logout of the cloudLibrary™assist app on your device.

2. Then, power off the device for 30-45 seconds.

3. Next, power back on your device.

4. Lastly, login to the cloudLibrary™assist app.
