Closing Ceremony of LMST Swat At Hotel Swat Regency Mingora on June 24, 2014 After successful completion of five days residential training on LMST for community activists, the closing ceremony was held at Hotel Swat Regency on June 24, 2014, in which apart from Regional HRDO Swat, 25 men community activists (training participants) took part from UC Kishawra District Swat. Mr. Saqalain (District Sports Officer Swat) was also invited for the occasion as chief guest. The closing ceremony was started with recitation from the Holy Quran, performed by one among the training participants.

Closing Ceremony of LMST Swat

At Hotel Swat Regency Mingora on June 24, 2014

After successful completion of five days

residential training on LMST for

community activists, the closing

ceremony was held at Hotel Swat

Regency on June 24, 2014, in which

apart from Regional HRDO Swat, 25

men community activists (training

participants) took part from UC

Kishawra District Swat. Mr. Saqalain

(District Sports Officer Swat) was also

invited for the occasion as chief guest.

The closing ceremony was started with

recitation from the Holy Quran,

performed by one among the training

participants.

Mr. Bahadur Ali (Regional HRDO Swat) thanked

the entire participants and also presented warm

welcome to the chief guest for sparing his

precious time for the event. He highlighted

vision, mission and working approach of SRSP

especially with regard to community

participation. He also briefed the chief guest

shortly about the five days residential LMST and

its contents. He asked the participants to

practically demonstrate the skills, what they

learnt during LMST, ensure involvement of

poorest of the poor in their community

institutions and also to strengthen their COs

further on sustainable basis. The entire

participants showed their keen interest and

committed.

The respected chief guest Mr. Saqalain (District Sports Officer Swat) while expressing his concluding remarks, he

added that SRSP has provided such type of training platform for learning in better environment, which indicates

towards encouraging local communities and thus the community participation in both in human and physical

development could be ensured to sufficient extent. He further added that through these capacity building

programmes and involvement of stakeholders on the last day of training would help in ensuring close coordination

between the line departments and concerned communities. He ensured all possible support to be extended by the

sports department on the basis of when and where required.

Mr. Farman Ali (President of Khuna Cham VO) one among

the training participants, while giving his feedback

regarding the five days residential LMST, he highlighted the

importance of community institutions. He was of the

opinion that CO is power, which could further lead us

towards brotherhood, collectivism and development. He

further expressed that we learnt a lot of about social

mobilization, development and community participation,

which we would onward practically demonstrate in our

COs at our local concerned communities. He on behalf of

all participants showed entire satisfaction with regard to all

logistic and training arrangements.
