As we draw close to the 40th anniversary of the prophetic word over Singapore as Antioch of Asia, we believe that God is awakening His people to their identities as “sent ones” – those who will represent Jesus in the spheres of influence entrusted to them.

Not all of us may feel ready for this task. In Acts 1, Jesus’ disciples may not have felt ready for their task.

Jesus knew that His disciples needed the empowerment of the Holy Spirit before being sent to the ends of the Earth. In the Upper Room, the disciples gathered to be in one accord and in prayer as they waited for the Holy Spirit.

This weekend, we believe God wants us to be in one accord and in prayer just as Jesus’ disciples were in the Upper Room. We are excited to see what God will do in our midst, and believe God is seeking to empower us to be sent to the respective spheres of influence entrusted to us.
