Welcome to the first edition of the Close CommunityEvents brochure. This termly publication is being launchedto better inform you, the members of the Dean CloseSchool Community (The Close Community), about thewide range of events taking place each term at which youare very welcome to join us.

2016 marks the 130th anniversary of the opening of DeanClose School and the 125th anniversary of the founding ofthe Old Decanian Society. I would love to see you at any, or all of the events listed and look forward to meeting youduring the year. Please keep an eye out for a host of newwhole School and community events celebrating these two milestones.

Two highlights I would like to draw your attention to are theOld Decanian Ball on Saturday 2nd July 2016 and thefirst Dean Close Golf Day at Minchinhampton GolfClub on Friday 27th May 2016.
