create a Duo Mobile BoilerKey

A Purdue Office 365 mailbox has been setup for you. DO NOT change these settings.
If you need to talk with IT@P, remember to let the tech agent know that you are a
PROFESSIONAL VETERINARY STUDENT. All mailboxes should be setup as O365.
Find the Your Account Tools section
1. Click BoilerKey(Following slide has general directions)
2. Click Change Password(Use this Off Campus Only)
3. Update Emergency Information;Return to the Your Account Tools section
4. Update Notification ChoicesEnter an alternative email address for added account securityReturn to the Your Account Tools section
5. Click Office 365 Status; (Verify your account is activated)Return to the Your Account Tools section

Activate Office 365 Status (if available or pending activation)
Office 365 Status may or may not be in your list –
this may not display until you arrive on campus

Accessing Your Email & Shared Calendars
Log in to the webpage
outlook.office365.com
Enter your Purdue email address
Enter your Purdue password
Click YES to stay signed in
Select Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Click Save
Close the Welcome screen if you
choose to bypass the Microsoft
overview displayed
Email Display Settings
When you first open your Office 365 mailbox,
there are a few suggested changes to the
settings. You can change the display and
various settings to meet your preferences.
Click on the settings button on the right top of
the bar
You can change the Theme and various other
settings
Verify that FOCUSED INBOX is turned OFF. This
feature can complicate how you view your
email.
Change the display density from full to compact
Click on OFF under Conversation View to turn
this feature off. It can complicate how you view
your email.
Email Calendar & Shared Calendar(s)
Office 365 Shared Calendars are added individually. Click on the calendar button at
the bottom left under the email folders to access the calendar section
Click on Import Calendar
Choose from Directory
Enter the Name of the calendar
Select the calendar from the list
Click Add

Change the calendar view to display multiple calendars
Click dropdown arrow on Month
Select Week
Click dropdown on Week
Select Split View
Spam Scanning Information
Purdue uses Cisco for Spam Quarantine of suspect email
Visit www.itap.purdue.edu/email/ for more information on how to
manage settings, release safe emails, block suspected spam and more.
If any messages are in your account, you will receive an email
notification from ‘Cisco Quarantine’ until you address the email.
You may click on ‘your email quarantine’ to access the settings area to
block or release any of the email
