Le Port is situated on the north-west coast of Reunion Island.

Reunion island is situated in the Indian Ocean, between Madagascar and Mauritius Island. Its climate is tropical. The seasons are opposite to Europe.

The Seasons

There are just two seasons in Reunion Island:The Austral winter: the dry season ( from May to October).

The Austral summer: the rainy season ( from October to May).

Temperatures 1

The temperatures are not even on the island.The temperatures drop as you get higher and higher. The trade wind also influences the temperatures.It blows from the South East.So, the East of the island is the Windward Coast and the West of the island is the Leeward Coast.Le Port has got a typical leeward coast climate.
