Executive summary
Cloud computing has gained immense significance as, several companies have already adopted or are contemplating adopting a cloud infrastructure. Private and hybrid cloud adoption is expected to grow largely as an alternative to traditional on-premise technologies.
While a majority of the private clouds adopted by companies are infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS)
clouds, a demand for enabling platform-as-a-service (PaaS) private clouds has been on the rise to
enable a higher level of speed, agility and flexibility through automation across both infrastructure and platform layers.
IBM Private Modular Cloud helps organizations launch PaaS and IaaS private cloud within weeks through automation. We provide automated provisioning capabilities through a self-service portal. In addition, by using a flexible modular infrastructure combined with automated platform application and pattern content, you can start with a small set of virtual machines (VMs) and scale up to thousands of VMs more quickly through standard architecture.
Over the last three years, IBM has used automated application pattern deployment technologies to deliver operational efficiencies to more than 70 different clients globally in a variety of industries. IBM has been one of the leading providers of cloud computing solutions with the ability to deliver a near-comprehensive cloud solution—from strategy through implementation, including network, storage, security and service level management—to help address your unique business and IT infrastructure needs.

While most companies today have adopted private infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) clouds, they need more to realize the true value of cloud.
But, it still can take up to several
weeksto provision new workloads because middleware needs to be set up manually.1
On average, it can take over
6 monthsto deploy PaaS to your private cloud.2
Clients have said …
