To honor the dedication and commitment provided by the individuals that make an impact on the families in our communities everyday
FaCT OverviewFamilies and Communities Together (FaCT) is a 16 year partnership between the County of Orange Social Services Agency and Orangewood Children's Foundation supporting a network of community based, collaborative family resource centers.
We are all committed to a shared vision
That all our children grow up in stable, nurturing families and safe, supportive communities that promote healthy development and provide opportunities for children, youth and adults to achieve their full potential as caring, responsible, and productive members of society.

•Hosted a Community and Families Health and Resource Fair for the last three years where twenty tons of food was distributed and almost 500 families were linked to valuable resources.

•Western Youth Services launched a successful fatherhood workshops impacting positive male parent involvement
• Interval House was instrumental in linking over 400 clients affected by domestic violence.
•Olive Crest provided 6-week parenting workshops to nearly 400 parents who were taught to build positive, enjoyable and healthy relationships with their children.

•Community Action Council came together to teach child abuse awareness at local schools for Blue Ribbon.
•Annual Mother’s Day event breaks barriers to decrease isolation and increase self-esteem.

•Basic Needs – Food distribution: In 2010 over 79,000 pounds of food were distributed to families.
•Friendly Center was profiled in a case study by the 2010 Building Movement Project’s “Catalysts for Change: How California Nonprofits Can Deliver Direct Services and Transform Communities”. The report was published nationally and featured 5 California Agencies.
