1 May 2015 It is a matter of great honor for me to be the Principal of this prestigious Institute which has memorable history of great shining stars who are now enlightening the nation with their knowledge and abilities. I am very thankful to the Programme Director DSD who adopted this school under Quality Drive and Parho Punjab Barho Punjab initiative of Chief M inister Punjab. The PD DSD is considering what Pilot School should be like in the future, to ensure that he is continuously strengthening the reputation of the institute. As a result, many exciting changes are now in process. W e have developed new interactive classroom environment by establishing subject rooms for secondary class students. CLASSROOM TEACHING IN PILOT SCHOOL Pilot School has not only changed the environment of the classes from traditional to interactive mode but also adopted modern techniques of teaching with the use of latest technology like multimedia which is enhancing the capability of students and teachers exponentially. Initiative in May 2015: 1) Establishment of subject rooms for secondary level classes. 2) Classroom teaching by young and energetic trainees. 3) Effective and interactive teaching through multimedia. 4) Daily mile for students to reduce boredom and pressure of heave textbooks. 5) Line and arrows marking for movement of students from one class to another. 6) Motivate teachers to adopt student centered teaching techniques. 7) Visit of science museum & movie for Flag class of the school. DSD INTERVENTIONS

The PD DSD visi ts pi lot school on r egular basis. According to him learning (Taleem) comes only 50% from the textbooks whi le the other 50% is per sonali ty development (Tarbiat) for the purpose, periodic plan of co-curricular activit ies is implemented in all primary/adopted Schools of Punjab under Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program which is carried out by DSD.

1) Spelling in Urdu and English

2) Quiz in Science & Maths

3) Art/ Calligraphy & Painting

4) Debates

5) Mill i Naghma

6) Sports races

The competit ions are arranged class/ Grade wise, if dif ferent sections of class are available then competit ions started section wise to pick up three top students from each section and then compete them to decide top three students in overall Class/ Grade. The topper class of each Grade is awarded f lag and nominated as f lag class for one month.
