How to make Filipino Style Spaghetti
1. Saute garlic and onions. Add in the beef and cook till brown. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Pour sauce, ketchup, sugar and stock. Mix and let simmer for a couple of minutes until sauce gets
bright red and thicker.
3. Add the hotdogs in and let cook for about 3 minutes making sure it heats through. Sauce is done!
4. Pour over cooked spaghetti noodles and grate lots of cheese on top!Ingredients
Contrary to the Italians, our spaghetti is fairly sweet, deep red in color, no fancy herbs and the stuff that really sets it apart from the rest, slices of our own red hotdogs!
This recipe is for a big batch of spaghetti (1 kilo/2.2 lbs for party needs) so just go on and scale it down if your planning to try it.
![Page 10: Classic Pinoy Ice Scramble Recipe](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022072016/55cf9d85550346d033adfbf5/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
2.2 lbs spaghetti noodles, cooked according to package directions. (personal preference, I rinse my noodles in tap water after cooking
then let them sit on a strainer. we do not mix the spaghetti into the sauce as we cook so this kinda helps to avoid them from sticking to
each other)
1 cup minced white onions
1 head garlic minced
1.65 lbs ground beef
1.65 lbs hotdog sliced diagonally
1/4 cup sugar
26.5 oz plain spaghetti sauce
1 small bottle banana ketchup (tomato ketchup would do but use just about 3/4 of a cup)
1/2 cup beef stock (plain water would do to)
salt and pepper to taste
quick melting cheese to garnish
