1. New session commenced on April 3, 2018.
2. Special 'Earth Day Assembly' was
conducted by class IX on April 20,
2018. Students took the yearly pledge
towards environmental conservation-
'Cleanliness is next to Godliness.'
3. Open House was held on April 28, 2018.
4. An 'Orientation' workshop was
conducted in the school premises on
April 28,2018. Ms. Bhawna
Khanna,HM, Senior school guided the
parents of class VI students on how to
prepare their wards for the challenges
of the new session.
External Events:
1. The Principal, Ms Indira Kohli was
recently interviewed by leading news portal
TenNews.in. Ma'am shared her views about
the significance of correct guidance to be
given to students to enable them to make wise
career choices.
2. Students attended the staging of the play
'Charandas Chor' by the troupe 'Naya Theatre'
at The Sriram Millenium School, Noida on April
13, 2018.
Academic Achievements:
1. Rishit Singh Sharma (class VIII) and
Alaina Goel (class VII) have cleared Level II
of NSC –National Science Concours 2017.
They will attend a summer camp for bright
budding scientists from June 25-30 in Shoolini
University, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
2. Ranveer Ahluwalia (class XI) was declared
the STATE TOPPER in International Olympiad
of English Language(IOEL ), 2017-18.
3. Aadit Malhotra (class IX) scored
INTERNATIONAL RANK 22 in International
Olympiad of French Language (IFLO),2017-18
4. Students of our school participated in
Incognito-Inter School Computer Festival on
April 26, 2018 held at Somerville School,
Noida.
5. Students of our school participated in
Annual Inter DPS Language Festival - Triveni
2018 at DPS Bulandshahr on April 28, 2018.

Here we apprise you of the ongoing events of the schoolDELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, GBN
The young students leaders of DPS, GBN, Noida took charge of their duties and responsibilities as the members of the Student Council for the 2018-19 session in a vibrant Investiture Ceremony held on April 12, 2018 in the school's amphitheatre. The event was graced by the presence of renowned artist, Mr Jiten Hazarika as the esteemed Chief Guest. Nikhil Vinod and Mansi Dobhal were elected as the Head Boy and the Head Girl of the Senior school while Garvit Arora and Devisha Sharma
were elected as Head Boy and Head Girl of Junior school. The audience members were mesmerised by the performances of students from classes VII to IX who represented their houses proudly in choir, yoga, aerobics and march past. The Principal, Ms Indira Kohli , congratulated the new office bearers and wished them the very best in the execution of their duties.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2018-19
On 4th April 2018 an Astronomy workshop was conducted by the resource person Ms.Sakshi from SPACE, in Tagore auditorium for classes 6th- 9th.Students were briefed about the Astronomy classes to be conducted during Work Experience periods as an activity where students will get a chance to know more about the Universe,Stars,Planets,Galaxies etc. through various activities and other outdoor visits.The workshop was very informative for the students .

3D PRINTING WORKSHOP
MINDSMART SERIES 1
Ms.Ankita Peter, along with a team of 5 students,Ayush Ranjan, Vriddhi Mehra, Akash Jha , Sanavya Makkar and Nehal Singh, attended a workshop at National Science Centre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on April 26,2018.The workshop was titled 'Common Adolescents Issues & Concerns – Emerging Landscape for Program & Policies for India'and was attended by a number of schools acrossNCR.
The workshop was attended by CBSE Chairperson – Ms.Anita Karawal , who was the Chief Guest of the day,& Dr.Jitendra Nagpal
Ms. Anita Karawal apprised the students of the amendments being planned in the curriculum. This was followed by an interactive session. It was a good learning session for the students.
In another initiative towards providing education
at par with global standards, DPS, GBN has set up
a 3 D printing lab. While a workshop to update the
students about this technology was conducted on
March 22, 2018, the lab was
inaugurated on Friday, April 13, 2018 with the 3 -
D print out of Lord Ganesha. This lab will now
open new avenues in the teaching and learning
process in the school.
The students of DPS, GBN, Noida pledged to follow traffic rules and ensure road safety during a special program held in the school on April 26, 2018 in observance of Road Safety Week. The students were informed about the essential dos and don'ts of road safety by Mr Gyan Mohan, Assistant Regional Traffic Officer (enforcement). The students of senior school, staff members as well as members of the Transport Department were present for the oath taking ceremony being organised as per the DM's instructions. The Principal, Ms Indira Kohli reminded the students to share the valuable information with their parents as well.

STOP MOTION (DIGITAL) WORKSHOP

A Stop Motion workshop was conducted on April 26, 2018 in the school premises for the German Students
th thof classes 9 and 10 . The Workshops was organized in coordination with Goethe Institut, New Delhi. The facilitator of the workshop was Raphael Di Canio from Germany. Using the available toys, figures and animals and their imagination students worked in groups and made videos. Later 5 students were shortlisted to be a part
thof the Stop Motion Competition during 10 Namaste Deutschland Event to be organized on April 28, 2018 in Genesis Global.The shortlisted candidates were: Ansh Gupta, Arnav

organised by Goethe Institut Delhi in Genesis Global on April
28, 2018, and brought home many awards. The
students won awards in the following events-
