This is a great opportunity for our students to try new sports and to meet students from other schools. Assembly Time Change Week 2 4 Due to Stage 3 Interschool Sport our Assembly over the next three weeks, commencing October 26 th , will be on Friday afternoons at 1.50pm. Canteen orders The first of our Wacky Wednesday Canteen days using the School Stream ordering system is taking place tomorrow. From our end the process has run very smoothly. Please let us know of any issues that may have arisen with this new system so we can make any required adjustments. Public Speaking It has been great to see the excitement around our Public Speaking Competition. Over the last week I have learnt many interesting facts that have been included in the student’s speeches. Did you know that there is a fish with a see through head and that a bear can run as fast as a horse? I would like to congratulate all students who have presented their speeches in class and wish our finalists good luck in Thursday’s Competition. Kinder Transition An excited and nervous group of kinder students arrived at school on Friday morning for the first of their transition to school sessions. They had a lovely time meeting new friends and staff. Red Day The SRC are supporting Wear Red Day on Friday, November 9 th . Funds raised go directly to Ronald Macdonald House in Orange. PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Stage 3 Sport For the next three weeks our Stage 3 students will be involved in Interschool Sport with primary schools from across Bathurst. This is a great opportunity for our students to try new sports and to meet students from other schools. We are proud of… OUR STUDENTS OF THE WEEK Kensi Bowman, Faith Gronowicz, Savannah Corby, Terran Sikora, Gemma Cashman, Kailea Isbister and Rhys Morris are our students of the week. Kensi is congratulated for overall improvement, Faith is congratulated for increased confidence, Savannah is congratulated for improvement in reading, Terran and Gemma are congratulated for fabulous writing, Kailea is congratulated for outstanding application in all areas and Rhys is congratulated for team leadership and resilience.

OUR ASSEMBLY AND PLAYGROUND AWARD WINNERS Lexie Maiava and Bowen Cromie are congratulated for being responsible. Lexie and Bowen both received a $5.00 canteen voucher to thank them. OUR WINNERS OF THE CLASS SHIELD Congratulations to KW who are the winners of this week’s class shield. They are congratulated for being safe. Tyson and Cadence accepted the shield on behalf of KW.

The next two weeks we will be looking at how to be

safe at school. We will:

• Follow teacher’s instructions

• Play by the rules

• Use equipment correctly

• Stay in bounds

• Walk on the concrete

• Be in the right place at the right time

• Keep hands and feet to ourselves

Our Year 6 Mini Fete is fast approaching! If anyone has

any nail polish, face paint or coloured hairspray that

they would like to donate it would greatly be

appreciated. All items can be dropped to the front
