I am currently employed as a Registered Nurse at University Community Hospital in Tampa, Florida. After leaving Anniston in 1979, I moved to Florida for 3 years. I became a traveling nurse and worked in Los Angeles, Texas, West Palm Beach and ending up in San Francisco where I stayed for 15 years before coming back to Florida. I will be graduating May 7, 2005 with my bachelor's degree in nursing, so for the last 2 years, my hobby has been school work. I like to read and travel. I have been nursing for the last 30 years. As mentioned above, I spent time traveling and seeing other areas of the country. When I moved to San Francisco, I met my husband, Edward Thomas on a blind date in November 1985, moved in together in December, and got married in July of 1986. We got married on Treasure Island Naval Base. We do not have any children. We left San Francisco in 1998 and came to Tampa, Florida where my mother still lives. We have one dog and 4 cats. I am currently a Teacher and Coach at Carrollton Junior High School. Paula and I have two children Michael Adam, 25 and Meighan Cecile, 20 and no grandchildren yet. We moved to Carrollton, GA in 1977, right after graduation from college. We haven't lived anywhere else since then. Our travels have been mainly in the Southeast (Florida, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Louisiana). We've also been to the Chicago area and the Washington,D.C./Pennsylvania/Virginia area. Our most exotic trip was to Hawaii for our 25th wedding anniversary in 2001. I enjoy fishing and hunting and relaxing in our in-ground swimming pool and going to the beach. I've been teaching 6th,7th,and 8th graders for most of the last 32 years, so I feel like I've nearly paid back my teachers at Munford for all of the stuff I put them through when I was in school. I'm hoping to be able to retire from teaching in a couple of years and maybe find something else to do. At 50 years of age, I can still throw a football 75 yards. My 8th and 9th grade football teams have won over 150 games over the years and I have a State Championship ring from Carrollton's 1998 football team. I would really like to see a reunion centered around one of the home football games, with our class being recognized during half-time. We could all sit together during the game. We could tail-gate before the game for dinner. If we wanted to make it a weekend gathering, maybe we could also have a more formal gathering on Saturday night for dinner, drinks, and socializing. I was an active member of the Munford Quarterback Club until 1995. I coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball at Munford for 8 years (1984 – 1992) I continued as a supporter of Munford sports activities until 1998 when my youngest son graduated. As for jobs, I am a journeyman lineman out of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 443, Montgomery, Alabama since 1992, working for Alabama Power Company’s Eastern Transmission Division.

Louallen (6), Adell Louallen (3) and Kellen Phillips (20 months). Where on earth did all those years go? My daddy (I miss him so) use to say that the older you get, the faster time goes. It surely seems to be true, but I think what really happens is that you begin to cherish every moment with family and friends and it makes time "seem" to go faster. When we are young, we take so much for granted. I miss my children being little, thank God for grandchildren!!!!! 1998: Jerry and I remarried and now own 2 theaters one in Thomasville, that I manage, and one in Demopolis which Jerry manages. I am an advocate for education for children with disabilities and a member of Partners in Policy Making. I enjoy [artistic] painting, photography, entertaining family and friends, and going to the beach, whenever possible. My three oldest children are married and so far have produced 4 grandchildren. Wendy is a sophomore at the University of West Alabama in Livingston. My youngest daughter Ashley now 5, was diagnosed with autism at age 3. She will be in kindergarten this fall. 1993: I married David Louallen in 1971, we had 4 children and divorced after 10 years. I married Jerry Edwards in 1983. Jerry and I published a weekly paper. We were involved in advertising, sales and printing. We purchased a movie theater together even though we just recently divorced. I am currently taking a course in accounting and bookkeeping and hope to become a CPA. The older I get the wiser I get and I think life is exactly what you make it! We have one grandson Charles Elbert Miles III and he is 14 weeks old. Ronnie and I have lived in Anniston for 9 years and Oxford for 23 years. We have traveled to Canada-twice, Cancun, Mexico-twice, Jamaica-twice, Nevada, Wyoming, Lake Tahoe, Perto Vallarta, Mexico-twice Disney World, cruised the Bahamas and Delcarmen Mexico. We go to our condo in Gulf Shores when we can. I love landscaping, gardening, arts & crafts, and restoring furniture. I like to paint-craft objects and the house. I love to go to other areas and help our Christian brothers and sisters build their Kingdom Halls so they can have a place of worship. We love to ride the rapids. I married Ronnie Helms December 16, 1972, five months before we graduated. We rented a house in Oxford for the first year. We moved to Anniston lived there 9years and when family had grown to 4 we decided it was time to build a bigger home. We built in Woodhaven subdivision off Friendship road inn Oxford. We have always liked it here; it's not very busy it's peaceful. Will be here for ever I guess. This December, Ronnie and I will celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary (big mile stone uh). I had a cleaning business I started about 32 years ago and I retired this last December. Ronnie is still in building business, does mostly custom homes ranging anywhere from $300,000.00-$1,000,000.00. He really puts up some nice homes. I gave birth to my first child on 1-23-78 and Adriann Nichole gave birth to her first on 1-23-05 Charles Elbert III couldn't have done it better if we tried. My 6"1 baby boy was born 8-9-82. Unfortunately, I have always had trips planned out of town at same time as the reunion. Does anyone know if there a close up photo of the sign we (the class of 73) put up for the school? My husband Ronnie Tanner is from Talladega. We have 3 beautiful girls; all are very good in high school. Nicole Lynn is head rifle in the MHS band. Crystal LaShun is a Jr. B Cheerleader and Sierra Lashal is a midget cheerleader. Jarvis is a football and baseball player. My other stepson lives in Washington D.C. We have lived in Carrollton, Georgia for the past 28 years, since graduation from college in 1977. We've traveled mainly in the Southeast, mostly to Florida and Tennessee. We've also visited family in the Chicago area. I've traveled on business to Texas and Las Vegas. Our most exciting trip so far was to Hawaii in 2001 for our 25th wedding anniversary. But both of our children have had opportunities to go to places that we haven't been - London, England and the Caribbean. Maybe some day...... I enjoy musical stuff. I play with the hand bell choir at our church. I have been allowed to be a member of the choir at church, even though I don't sing particularly well. They have given me the honor of saying that I am a "choir member". And when our kids were in high school and playing musical instruments in the band, I was there for every event. Ken and I have enjoyed camping over the years. We don't have a camper at the moment, but have entertained the notion of buying another one when our "nest" becomes empty. That should coincide with Ken's possible retirement, so we would love to do some traveling. Ken and I have been married for 29 years (on July 1). I've held a variety of positions in and around Carrollton. They've all been in the medical laboratory field. Currently, I am a laboratory technologist at Newnan Hospital. We have 2 children: Michael, who is almost 25, newly married to Beth, and working as a band director at a small high school in Heard County, Georgia. His school reminds me of Munford. Our daughter, Meighan, is 20 and is finishing her sophomore year at the University of West Georgia. She will be starting nursing classes in the fall, and hopes to graduate with a BSN in 2007. No grandchildren yet. I have a special interest in musical things, which I didn't pursue in high school or college. It was only when my children came into my life that I began to nurture my interest. Ken and I had an idea for a reunion centered around one of the home football games. We've seen alot of Carrollton High School classes doing it, and they seem to really have a good time. They meet before the game on Friday night and tail-gate in the parking lot of the stadium. They sit together during the game and are recognized during halftime. Some of the classes will plan something else on Saturday, like a more formal get-together in the evening for dinner and drinks. We think something like that would be fun. Nunnelley State Technical College in Childersburg. Immediately afterwards I was employed by the Talladega City Board of Education for 5 years. I attended night school and majored in Elementary Education. Upon completion of these courses I resigned from the City Board of Education and returned to Talladega College full-time to get my RA. in Early Childhood Education.
