  • EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GRADUATION

    • Rehearsal: Friday 6/7. Be lined up to enter at 9:45a.

    – Do you have to attend? YES

    – Do you have to be on time? YES

    • What happens if you are not? Community service hours

    • Big day: Saturday 6/8 at 3p (Toyota Center)

    – Doors open for your families at 2p

    – Free to attend (no tickets needed)

    – Parking is going to be a MESS…

    • 80 less parking spaces due to construction. Please car pool!

  • CAP & GOWN

    • Most of you received caps &

    gowns Tuesday from Josten’s

    • Should reach mid-calf

    • Try it on ASAP so you know if

    you need to exchange

    • No pockets

    – Don’t bring phones, purses, etc.

  • LINE UP BY YOUR NUMBER• Mingle in large area by double

    • 10 minutes before the ceremony

    begins, we will start organizing

    rows in the hallway to line up

    – Hot & crowded

    – Be patient! ☺

    • Look for the blue sign taped to

    wall with your row on it

    – Your friends will save your seats.

    – You will go directly to the risers.

    • Band & Orchestra members-

    – Your friends will save your seats.

    – You will go to area to right of stage and find

    your instruments (placed there by your

    underclassmen band & orchestra friends)

    • Valedictorians & Salutatorians will

    already be on stage

    • Student speeches will take about

    15 minutes

    • Principal & School Board Member

    speech will take another 5

    minutes

    • You will be released by Junior helpers

    (front row first)

    • Stand as a row

    • Walk to back of stage

    • Give your name card to Mr. Wood, Mr. Christman,

    Ms. Garcia or Ms. Rodriguez

    • Shake and take

    – medal at rehearsal

    – diploma cover during graduation

    This will be given

    to you on Friday.

    Don’t forget it on

    Saturday… it’s

    part of your

    to left signifying that you are a high school

    graduate!

    The Baccalaureate ceremony is a non-denominational

    celebration of faith & the 2019 Southridge graduates.

    Entire program features seniors

    Music - students will provide music as guests arrive and

    depart, solo/group performances between speakers

    Testimonials- students will share how their faith

    impacted their high school journey and what they will

    take into their future as a result

    Readings- students will share a favorite verse, etc.

    Restaurant. Tickets must be

    purchased in advance.

    Families encouraged to attend.

    Highlights: Live music, department

    & athletic awards, faculty speaker.

    May 20 at lunch or with Mrs. Valdez in

    Main Office.
