High School Science: “Lab-Only”Each “Lab-Only” class meets from 9-3:30 for 2 days per semester: once near the middle of the semester and again at the end of the semester. Each day, students will perform ~4 experiments that teach lab skills and reinforce course content. The experiments do not follow one particular curriculum; instead, each course includes experiments relating to topics covered by most high school curricula. Students will receive background information about the topic as well as learn how to use both traditional lab equipment and digital, computer-linked measuring tools from Vernier. For one HS credit in a lab science, many universities expect students to spend 24-27 hours lab activities. These “Lab-Only” classes provide enough lab time to satisfy that requirement. (These classes are available to part-time students)

Skills and Topics for “Lab-Only” SciencesPhysical Science: $85/SEMThis lab will focus on accuracy and precision in measurements, basic data analysis and graphing, significant figures, density, motion, heat, electricity, elements. Min: 6. Max: 12 (This class is available to part-time students)
