Dear children,
Summer vacation is a welcome break …… Summer vacation
is all about fun, frolic, playing for longer hour with
friends, going for picnics and exploring new places.
But there is lot more that you can do to make your
vacation more interesting and meaningful, along with
doing all your heart desires. We have planned some
interesting activities for you. So, get ready to enjoy your summer vacation!
The holiday homework activities are based on the movie “Baby’s Day Out”.
Please watch the movie with your family.
Note:-
1. All written work to be done in a scrap book. Make a decorative paper bag / folder to
keep your holiday homework.
2. Students work will be appreciated.
3. Learn the poem “My Daddy”.
A. Daddy’s Day Out.
Father’s day is observed on the third Sunday of June. It honours all fathers,
grandfathers and father figure for their contribution. So on this father’s day-
1. Surprise him by giving a card.
You will need Construction paper Water colour Dad and yourself
Directions Make a greeting card Colour your dads palm with blue poster colour and print it on the greeting
paper. Let it dry. Colour your palm and print it on your dads hand print. Write your own little
message on the greeting card and gift your dad the most thoughtful gift this father’s day.

2. Decide his dress for the day
3. Photo with dad
Get a picture clicked with dad. Make a photo frame and then fix the photo.
4. Crown your dad
Cut out the template .Glue the sides to make a crown. Place the crown on the most deserving king-your dad!
5. Learn this poem to recite to your father on father’s day (this poem will be heard in class)
Papa, I love For all that you do.
I’ll kiss you and hug you ‘Cause you love me too.
You feed me and need me To teach you to play.
So smile ’cause I love you For all that you do.
6. Give a treat to your dad-
Recipe Time- “Yummy healthy caterpillar salad”.
Time required – 15 minutes.
How to make
Steps:
1. Slice 1 tomato and use 1 slice of it to make the caterpillar‟s head.
2. Slice 1 cucumber. Use the sliced pieces to make the caterpillars body.
3. Chop some cabbage to make the grass.
4. Use coriander leaves to make eyes and nose.
5. Add some salt, pepper and lemon on it.
Ingredients
Tomato- 1 Coriander leaves – 2 or 3
Cucumber-1 Pepper
Some cabbage leaves Salt and lemon

– We all like to listen or read stories. In the movie
“Baby Bink” also had a favourite book which he called “ ”
After watching the movie, choose any 15-20 new words which you have
learnt from the movie.
Make a vocabulary booklet – Write words in a scrapbook and draw/ paste
a picture to represent the word, as shown in the image.

National Flowers.
Do you know that most countries in the world have a national
flower which is the symbol of the country’s rich culture and
diverse ecosystem.
Example: - The national flower of India is Lotus.
Browse on the internet and search for some more national flowers.
Compile your own “National Flowers” album which you will like
to cherish forever. Paste them on A4 colour sheets.

Parents’ Participation
This world is a treasure box. See around and you’ll find many things that you would like to store and treasure all your life. It may be your childhood photographs, toy, shells, coins, accessories or stickers. Now be ready to make your own box.
Requirement- A shoe box, coloured paper or
golden paper, ribbons, laces, sequins, mirror.
Procedure-
o Take a shoe box. o Cover it with a nice brown or golden paper. o Decorate it nicely with ribbon, sequins, mirror etc. to give it a
look of treasure box. o You can also put in your own ideas to make it more
attractive.
Sharpen Memory: Put a few things on a tray, show the tray to your child for a
while and then cover the tray. Ask your child to name the objects that were
on the tray. This activity helps in enhancing the memory of the child.
Inculcate Responsibilities: Even little one can be taught to carry out small jobs
and sense responsibility. They can do the activities like laying the table, fill
the water bottles, dusting, watering plants, taking care of their pets, cleaning
their cupboards, arrange their toys etc.
