    COURSE OF BASIC COMMUNICATIVE SPANISH FOR NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS.

    General Objective: Provide Non-Native Speakers of Spanish with the necessary

    language tools in order to have them communicate in Spanish at a Basic Level. Such tools

    shall include the use of verbs, vocabulary and structures, in addition to audio visual and

    reading material, necessary to develop classroom and daily life activities.

    Vocabulary: In the city. Introduction to vocabulary about differentplaces in a city. The use of various prepositions, such as in frontof, next to, etc. (in Spanish) in order to give directions. Use ofvisual aids (Power Point).

    Introduction to vocabulary on daily activities. Home, school andshopping

    10Oral and written practice of vocabulary covered in two previouslessons. Use of verb tenses in completing sentences and creatingdialogs using such verb tenses.

    Video (Spanish) about daily life activities in Chile.

    Use of adjectives in Spanish. Sentence word order. Use of theseadjectives structure in daily life activities and describing people(physical & personality characteristics).

    Students are required to describe their hometowns, Concepcin

    and friends or relatives (include new vocabulary, if necessary).

    Introduction to Life at Work topics (Vida en el trabajo)

    Power Point, vocabulary and text about life at work andworkplaces. Use of adjectives to describe professional and laboractivities in Spanish. Use of related audio and video material(Industries in the Eighth region).
