With reference to the news appearing in media

about

the

name

of

the Company

published

in

the

official

gazette of the Swiss

government for

which

the tax

authorities in

India have sought information

from their

counterparts

of Switzerland,

It

is

hereby

clarified that:

The

Company

had

opened

the

account with Investec

Bank,

(Switzerland),

AG

on

08.05.2011

with

an

objective

to raise

funds for

the

Company.

The said account had

never

been funded.

Hence,

was closed

on

18.02.2012by the Bank.

During

the search

u/s

132(1)

of the Income

Tax Act

1961,

conducted

on 27t

February

2015,

the Income Tax

Departrnent

got the details

of this

account

from

the

official records

'of

the Company.

Upon

enquiry

from

the IT departrnen

the Company submitted

the

details

of

the

accouht alongwith account

statements and closure

of

the

account.

As

standard

procedure,

the

Department

gets

such

information

verified

by the counterpart

in other

Countries. Therefore

as

a

part

of

the bilateral

treaty

for

administrative

assistance

and

exchange

of

information

between Switzerland

and India,

The

IT

department

has

requested to Swiss

Authorities

to confirm

the

details

of

the

said

account.

As

per

the

notification

published

in official

gazette

ol the Swiss

government,

will

have 30 days'

time

to appeal against

"administrative

assistarce"

by

Federal Tax

Administration.
