The inventors project is a collaboration with Department of Scienceand Technology and Design Center. Its objective is to apply designaesthetics, user friendly functions and ergonomics on the existinginventions awarded as finalist of the event. Assisted students, scientists,businessmen, and anyone who went to the event and gave theminformation about each mock-up and the story behind it and showedhow industrial design and science work well together.

The 3D printer was designed and made by John Tan, one of our design consultants in Design Center of the Philippines. These 3D printers were locally made in the Philippines. Discussed information about the 3D printer to various people during the Science and Technology exhibit.

Bamboo showcase exhibit

The bamboo showcase aims to promote the use of bamboo as an alternative and sustainablematerial. Through structural materials and furniture. The event will raise awareness of bamboo’sabilities and uses. This may also serve as a window for job opportunities for the local people.

Build it yourself dining table made from engineered bamboo. Very easy to assemble and disassemble.Good for space saving.

Detachable bamboo poles that are attached on the metal frame of the coffee table. This is to showcase that bamboo in its natural form can have a take on modern furniture.

The moving tabletop surface is made form engineered bamboo with a sliding tabletop mechanism.Legs and drawer are made from 6mm metal.

The sliding tabletop surface is made from Bamboo veneer attached to the metal drawer with metal rods as legs.

Arm chair frame is made from purely engineered bamboo. This is to showcase the bamboo’s tensile strength.Seat is made from upholstered fabric

All Bout Kawayan manufacturers clamp together the engineered bamboo to compress parts tightly together

Engineered bamboo fastened with screws on aluminum metal frame of table. Since preschool are all about activities, tables are shaped as tangram pieces to have fun while rearranging the tables.
