REINFORZE 2018

These events provide

comprehensive counseling and

referral services to help students

achieve their educational goals,

strengthen their problem-solving

skills, develop healthy

relationships, and reach their

optimum potential for

continuous growth. Over 200

students from 10 colleges across

pune participated in

REINFROZE 2K18 held on

10th & 11th January 2018.

Competitions were judged by

experts and cash prizes were

distributed.

TRAINING AND PLACEMENT

Department of Civil Engineering provides students with wide platform of

opportunities for placements. Soft skills and technical skills are pooled hands

on hand to evolve students with better competitive competencies. Mr.

Sainand Khot is co-ordinating TPO activities of the department by

conducting various guest lectures on advanced software’s in civil

engineering, industrial trends etc. Irrespective of the current unpleasing

market scenario, our 13 students of A.Y. 2017-18 had placed in core civil

engineering companies through campus placements while pursuing degree

and many more through off – campus drives.

Companies visited includes Pinclick, Aqua Engineers, Bhakti Builders,

Infedes, Intelligence Plus, Naymo, Kumkang and many more core

companies visited our campus for recruitment.

STUDENT ACHIVEMENT

Student of Civil Department have published 11 papers in various

international journals including 13 papers in conference.

Consultancy – IIT Bombay Traffic Survey

The Students of DYPIEMR Civil Engineering Department has been actively

participated in the survey work as in voluntarily coordinated by Mr.

Sivkumar Hallale. This Traffic Survey Project has been carried with

collaboration with IIT Bombay.

India for field training. Eight students of

maiden batch and around 30 students of

succeeding batch have undergone field

training in association with the same.

PUBLICATION DETAILS Faculty of Civil Department have published 62 papers in various

WORKSHOP ORGANIZED The ISTE approved one week workshop on “Sustainable materials used

in construction” was organized by Department of Civil Engineering on

11th to 15th June 2018. Ms. A. P. Kulkarni (HOD), Dr.Atul khole

conveyor and the organizing committee team have successfully

coordinated the event.

CONSULTANCY Mr. Pravin Gorde is providing the consultancy to Ghokhale Institute of

Politics & Economics on Evaluation of Anganwadi Construction Works

of DPC Pune(7) Work Order to carry out Research for the project

PhD Dr. Parameswar Hiremath is PhD awarded in 2018 from NIT Suratkal

PhD REGISTRATION: Mr. Mayur Shinde is pursuing Ph. D in Geochemistry at the research

centre “NIH, HRRC, Belgaum”, in the area of VTU Belgaum, Karnataka

INVITED TALKS/JUDGE/RESOURCE Ms. Amruta Kulakrni was invited as a Resource person for a guest

lecture on Mechanics held at RSCOE Tathawade

Mr. Mithun Sawant was invited as a Resource person for a guest lecture

at Chemical Department, DYPIEMR, Akurdi

FACULTIES REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENTS Mr.Rohit Deshmukh was awarded as “ Best Attentive Participant” in three days National level workshop at JSPM ICOER Wagholi on from

25th to 27th April 2018

Mr. Mayur Shinde has co-ordinated practical sessions on surveying and

soil testing for students from Design Innovating Centre, SPPU

undergoing course on Advanced and Innovative Techniques for

Environment and Watershed management.

Environment Club

Dept.of civil engineering celebrated the World

Environment Day on 5th June 2018. The

inauguration of Environment Club was done

by the honorable hands of Dr. R. K. Jain,

Principal JSPM,Tathawade.

Social Concern/Activities

Celebration of World Environment Day on 5th

June2018 was held at Snehwan: A Ray of Hope,

Bhosari, Pimpri-Chinchwad under Environmental Club

of Department of Civil Engineering. Snehwan is a

nonprofit organization which has been founded in

December 2015 by Ashok Deshmane. Snehwan not just

an initiation but a hand of Love and care for these

destitute children.

Parent Teacher Meet

Parent teacher meeting in the current academic

year 2017-2018 was conducted on 25 th august

2018 to evaluate the progress of the student in this

academic year, in the curricular as well as non

curricular activities.
