Items for Consideration• Neighborhoods
– Need to review and identify neighborhoods?• Currently there are areas that do not have signage such as
County Club Cove; and other isolated areas.
• Locations– Intersections of a major arterial?
• Belle Terre / Whiteview (4 neighborhood signs here)• Some are not at intersection such as Pine Lakes / PCPKWY• Some are not in City ROW/Property
– Entrances to neighborhood from a major arterial?• Currently not all have signs (Ponce Deleon does & Pine
Grove does not)
• Alternative to Signs– Art?– Vertical light pole Banners?– Decorative Street sign post with vertical name of neighborhood?
Neighborhood Sign Implementation
• Master Plan Study– Create Neighborhood Boundary Plans– Create Master Plan identifying sign locations
• Identify which existing signs get replaced or removed• Identify location for new signs
• Budget– Need to Add CIP Line Item ~ $1,000,000
• Replace 41 Existing signs @ $20,000 each.• Add 9 Additional signs (confirm quantity after completion of
Master Plan Study)• Complete 1 or more Neighborhood Areas per year for a
replacement schedule of 10 years.
