Example training
READ THE SENTENCES. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? START WORKING IN PAIRS AND
AFTERWARDS IN THE COURSE.
You want to go 3 stations by bus. The bus will arrive but in 12 minutes.
You are asking a lady on the street for the way to the railway station. The lady says: „You have to go simply straight ahaid. The railway station is just over there.“ You are walking and walking – after 20 minutes you are arriving at the railway station. Has the lady told you the truth?
You have to visit your doctor at 9 o‘clock and want to take the S-Bahn. One S-Bahn arrives at 8.44 a.m., the next on 9.04 a.m. Which S-Bahn would you take?
HOW IS IT IN YOUR NATIVE COUNTRY? DISCUSS IN THE COURSE.
3 stations. That‘s too far! I prefer waiting
for the bus
12 minutes. That‘s too long! I
better have a walk
