Cite Your Sources!
How to Create a Citation List Using Destiny
If you use books from our library from Destiny Quest, you can easily create a Works Cited list
by following the directions below.
Step 1: Open Destiny Quest
Step 2: Click on login and enter your username and password, just like you login to the computer.
Step 3: Type in the title or author of the book you used.
Step 4: Add the books you used for your project to “My List” by dragging and dropping it into the box OR by
clicking on the book title and then clicking “Add to List”.
Step 5: Click on “My List” to see the resources that will appear in your citation list.
Step 6: Click on “Print Options”.
Step 7: Click on “MLA Citation List” then “Print Preview”.
You will now see a list of your citations.
Step 8: Copy and paste your citations into a word document, ONE at a time! Do not copy the final period in the
sentence. This will make it easier to format.
Step 9: Open your formatted Works Cited Page. Paste each citation under the words Works Cited. When the
clipboard appears, be sure to click on the tiny folder with the blue arrow so that the format changes.
Remember, this should be left aligned!
Step 10: Add the rest of your citations. Double check that they are in alphabetical order. Use your Formatting
Works Cited Page directions to check your work.
