person in the packed crowd who disagreed with the decision. The 5ft llin svelte bombshell was, quite simply, perfection. H She looked a million dollars and H continued the country’s amazing H record of sending beautiful girls H to the Miss World final. H But behind the perfect smile, mes- H merising eyes and the presence and V personality that brought a room to a standstill was her deep-rooted lack of ’ confidence in her appearance. All her life the 23-year-old has been

flat-chested, so after years of torment in school, coupled with a few years as a top model working among the most beautiful women in the country, she decided to finally take the plunge and go under the knife. In her first interview and photo shoot

since getting her breasts surgically enhanced, Magazine+ sits down with the stunner to talk about those troubled teen years, getting the approval from Granny Maguire and why she is adamant

the increase in cup size is to boost her confidence and not her career. “I absolutely love ‘the girls’,” the Belfast

babe giggles as she touches herself for the sixth time in less than five minutes.

“No, they don’t have names, but I’m calling them my ‘girls’. “Myself and the girls are still in the

honeymoon phase. I can’t stop staring at them. When I am out I even get people

to feel them.” Okay let’s just leave that there. This

interview and shoot is awkward enough already. I honestly don’t know where to look. “I’ve had them now for six weeks

and some people haven’t even noticed; which I am actually happy about because one of my biggest worries was that they would be too big. “I was worried about not having

natural-looking breasts, but I think the clinic got them just right. I’m thrilled.” Rebecca chose the River Medical

Clinic (they have clinics in Dublin and Belfast) after she was modelling at the new clinic’s launch in her home city. “I remember joking with the nurses asking

them ‘how much for a boob job?’. “It was half-hearted but they insisted

on me coming in for a consultation, so I did. As soon as I met the staff in a professional capacity and chatted with the surgeon I just thought this was the perfect time to give it a go.” Unlike a lot of models, Maguire’s

motivation was not to boost her career. “Honestly, I am as busy as I can be. This is a very shallow and judgemental

business I am in. I know looks are everything - but I couldn’t be busier at the moment both in Northern Ireland and in the Republic. “I know some people are going to

think that I am just doing it for more

bikini shoots etc... but I genuinely have been thinking about this for as long as I can remember.” Of course, it wasn’t her agent who

she needed the green light from. It wasn’t even her mum. “My folks were amazing about the whole thing. They always are. My mum actually asked if she could get new boobs too. “But I wasn’t 100 per cent sure about

it until my gran came down home and told me she was in favour of me doing it. If Granny Maguire is happy, then I’m happy.” While the interview is very

light-hearted and while the shoot is one of the sexiest shoots we’ve had in our magazine, there is a very serious side to why the model wanted the boob job.

“When I was in school I was a quiet, geeky type. I didn’t wear make-up or even do my hair up. I wasn’t a loner;

I had friends. But there was a lot of teasing in school. I think the ‘bullying’ word is thrown around a lot and too often, so I wouldn’t call it that. “But I do remember PE classes

through the years where all the girls in my class would be wearing bras and I never needed one. I was teased a lot and while I don’t think some of the girls meant any harm - it sat with me and affected me.”

get criticism from some people. But, I have to say that I feel so much better now having lived with a flat chest all my life. I have gone from a Double A-Cup to a B or even a C-Cup.

So is this the end of the plastic surgery? “Ha, I will never say never, but I am really happy with how I look and I am confident in myself.
