Engineer SelectionCED#1

• Required if any federal dollars are involved in the project at any time• Simplified process of interviewing at least 3 firms

– Phone, written (mailed or faxed), in-person– Sample forms can be obtained from website

• Three knowledgeable people must be involved in the selection process, review the firms submission, rank the firms

• Final ranking and selection passed by resolution• Negotiate with top firm, if negotiations not successful, then negotiate

with firm ranked second• Keep documentation for possible audit• Group projects
