The meeting was brought to order by Chairman, Evelyn
Grant. Devotions were given by Doris Devore.
Mary Ann Shultz introduced Reverend Kirk, who gave us
a Theological Quiz. It was a most interesting and thought
provoking program.
A letter was read from Barbara Schreiner tharkir7 us
for the book sent her by our Circle.
Mary Ann Shultz, Dorothy Jacobsen and Helen Stiehl
offered to bake cookies for the Elgin State Hospital.
Charlotte Jones volunteered to go the the Elgin State
Hospital and assist with the monthly party. Jean
Brown announced there would be a work day at her home
Thursday, January 25th. Items mould be made for the
Lake Bluff Bazaar.
Florence Clarkson gave the treasurer's report. Balance on hand is
In the absence of our secretary, the minutes of the last
meeting were not read.

Coffee and rolls were served prior to the business meeting by Jean Broom and Vivian Stutzman.

The meeting was brought to orier by Chairman, Evelyn
Grant, who, in the 'Osence of the Treasurer, also gave
the Treasurer's Report which showed a balance on hand
of $83.67. F.,vie mentioned that Mrs. Fisher had asked
to donate our Sunshine Fund to the Blanket Fund, and
this was done.
Julie Singer was a rruest and it is honed she will he
a member of our CiF cle.
Various dates for future activities of the Church were
mentioned:

Arril 11-14th Rummage Sale, Anna. Mae Walter in Charge of our Circle
There will be no daytime Anril meeting as we are asked
to attend a play given by the Oak Park Players or.
ril 9th at 8. :00 P.M. in the Church.
June 7th, the 1st Thursday, is the date of the Salad
Luncheon
The Executiire Committee of the woman's Society has asked
that we give a name to our Circle, instead of the dsianation
letter we now use, and we are to have suagestions at the
March meeting.
We were told that Valentines had been sent to the Indian
children, including pencils and era-es, and Polly Cody
s ,, gmeeted we write Pen-Pal letters to them as another
way to express our in+e•est in them
We were reminded that a Lenten ReAding List would be
posted in the Library.
Betty Callanan reminded us of the Service League's Bene-
fit held at the Civic Opera House on February 24th, with
the Boston pot's Orchestra performing, for the benefit
of Lake Bluff's (Thildren's H^rss.
Devotions were presented by Jacque Rieke, taken from a
magazine article by Arthur Godfrey which included this
thought for the day: God has invested in me What I am is His gift to me. What I become is my gift to Him.
The business meeting adjourned and work was begun on
articles for the Lake Bluff Christmas Bazaar.

'The Easter Story in Art_ "'Slides were shown of many of
the beautiful works of Art which famous painters of the
centuries have created depicting the death and resurrection
of the Chriat. This was a truly inspirational program,
beautifully presented.
Polly Cody led the devotions.
Florence Clarkson gave the Treasurer's Resort, ArA ur ,Ted

Anna Mae Walters asked for volunteers to work at the
Rummage Sale and a lively discussion Vollowed of wars and

Circle at the Rummage Sale by selling some particular item
in addition to the main sale.

Grace Circle Sept. 20,1962.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman,
Evie Grant, who welcomed all members and guests to
the new Fall season. She thanked the Circle for the
fine co-operation given last year.
Polly Cody led the devotions entitled "Tell the
Children". Ellen Bodine, the Christian Education
Director, spoke of her plans for the Kindergarten
and primary Sunday School programs for the coming
year, bringing to our attenti-n the kinds of books
she will use for their Christian development.
Coffee and rolls were served by Mary Ann Shultz and
Wilma Linder, after which the business meeting was
held.
The Treasurer's Report showed that last year $202.25
was turned over tb, the WSCS. The WSCS Brunch, served
by Grace Circle collected $16.30 and showed a profit
of $7.85-
The following officers for the year 1962-63 were
introduced as follows:

Telephone Callers for this year were announced as
Vivian Stutzrian, Chairman, Jeanine Bowen, Jean Brown, Lllen Kishkunas, Jean Obenhouse.
It was announced that the Study Course, entitled,
'Rim of Asia' would be held at the home of Ann Nigren
in Biltmore, on October 964 ,1046N% 25rd , and 30th. and the first two weeks in November.
Wilma Linder explained the Pledge envelope system we
use for collection of our pledges for the year.
Jackie Rieke volenteered to .open her home for the
Christmas Meeting to be held on December 13th.
Doris Devore reminded everyone of the Prayer Group
to be held on Wednesday mornings, with the first
Wednesday of every month devoted to visitation of
members. Jean Brown reminded the group of the Bazaar
held at the Lake Bluff Children's Home on September 28th,
and announced, also, that the Tag Day this year would be
held in Chicago on October 5th, and that tagPers would
be on duty from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. It was announced,
also, that the Rummage Sale Dates had been changed to
October 26th and 27th, and that furniture pick-up would
be on Sunday afternoon, Octo. 21st, only.
The Ways and Means Project for our particular Circle
at the Rummage Sale was decided upon, and it is planned
that we will sell Pumpkins thiiti , Alice Honeycutt has
offered to provide.

Vivian Stutzman announced that the Wreaths used
in the Church at Christmas-time need refurbishing
this year, and hopes that some of us will offer to
help her in this task.
Announcement was made, also, of the Elgin State
Hospital Chirmtmas Party, and also of the parties
in January and May. Peg Cox needs help for these
parties and it is hoped that several people will offer
to help her in this worth-while project.
