Point-to-Point Solutions for Medium Capacity

CIPHOP 900 IP Series

The CIPHOP 900 IP Series is a next generation Native Ethernet Microwave system, designed for low and medium capacity applications with the mission to minimize CAPEX and OPEX for the operator.

Each terminal of the radio link is composed of an out-door-unit (ODU) with attached antenna, that provides a FE data interface through which the system is also powered (standard Power over Ethernet protocol). The ODU may be connected to a networking device by means of an Ethernet cable either directly (switch, router,..with PoE ports) or through a standard PoE injector, resulting anyway into a ZERO FOOTPRINT installation. An optional 1U half-rack indoor unit (IDU) may be provided to feature TDM E1 interfaces as well as for 1+1 protected configuration.

Due to its simple architecture and Low Power Consumption, together with packet based technology and configuration flexibility, CIPHOP 900 IP Series is a reliable and future-proof solution, very simple to install and maintain, fitting the widest range of network typologies and application scenarios.

Optical) TDM interface up to 16xE1 (dim. 1U & half ETSI rack)

switch embedded, Housekeeping, 2 ODUs

supported, Synch i/f

Modular ArchitectureCIPHOP 900 IP Series can be provided with integrated antenna up to 1.8 meters. In particular environmental conditions, if required a separated mounting installation is also possible. The variety of system configuration, allows to match requirements of all types of Network Architecture, to assure protected and reliable configuration, as well as smooth migration from old to New Generation Networks.

Lowest ConsumptionCIPHOP 900 IP Series family thanks to its smart design allows the lowest energy consumption <15 Watts. That means it’s ideal for a variety of applications:

» In Rural Area, where is expected to use UPS or other energy backup method, this will allows the systems to stay alive for a long time

» Ideal for installation powered by a photovoltaic panel » Scenarios where energy cost is a key factor » ODU to be powered from external devices

FlexibilityThanks to future-proven design and a variety of solutions both for the indoor and the outdoor sections , depending on the required MW Network Architecture, CIPHOP 900 IP Series is capable to provide a wide range of system configurations among with the most appropriate can be deployed:

» 1+0 No protected Link » 1+1 Hot Standby Link protection

For all above configurations TDM interfaces are available and legacy E1 traffic can be transported efficiently over the Ethernet.

Simplest ArchitectureIn all those scenarios where only Ethernet Connection is required (Building to Building or Leased Backhauling e.g.) and fast and easy installation and maintenance are the key factors, as well as related costs, the CIPHOP 900 IP Series is likely to be the best-fit solution and allows a ZERO FOOTPRINT impact.

Frequency Seeker For CIPHOP 900 IP Series in Unlicensed Bands the Interferences Frequency Seeker functionality is available helping the operator, during the field installation, to choice the best couple of frequencies (or those with less level of interference) to maximize the radio link performance

Fully software configurableLike all Linkra radio systems, CIPHOP 900 IP Series radios are fully software configurable, easily scaling. License key upgrades are used to increase base Ethernet capacity within pay-as-you-grow approach. The software management is embedded in the ODU and there’s no need of additional SW. Only a normal web browser to manage all system features. Channel bandwidths (from 3.5 to 28 MHz) and capacity upgrading (according to channel spacing) are configurable and manageable via SW interface.
