CIPAFilter is proud to introduce our beta ready version of 8.3. After months of feedback regarding our successful launch of version 8.0 we are introducing even more features and functionality into CIPAFilter. These features are aimed at adding more control over category filtering, enhanced proxy detection methods, and virus protection control.

CIPAFilter's new blacklisting system expands our current category offerings and allows for schools to choose more precisely what they want to control than ever before. We have added multiple new categories to our offerings as well as taken existing categories and allowed expandable options to nail down specific sub categories within each main category.

We have added more fingerprints to one of the most advanced proxy detection systems on the market. Our detection system now detects websites that use mobile versions of our fingerprinted sites.

CIPAFilter has now given its customers the ability to turn on or off virus scanning and also toggle the scanning of PDF files. This will help with performance in some instances and also resolve compatibility issues that may arise from the scanning of certain documents.

Our database system has be re-written to provide reporting results faster, as well as to allow existing units in the field to handle more traffic. The effectiveness of these database enhancements are dependent upon the configuration and model of CIPAFilter.

Our revamped DHCP server features enhanced stability and funtionality. It is more robust, as it can now handle a larger number of users more efficiently. We have also incorporated the ability to filter out your active leases by mac address, ip address, hostname, and lease time.
