The last time Los Angeles started the season going 16-21 or worse in its first 37 games of the year was in 2013, when the club went 15-22. After the slow start, the 2013 Dodgers won the National League West division and reached the National League Championship Series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Following the weekend series against the Reds and a travel day on Monday, the Boys in Blue will begin a six- game road trip with a couple of three-game series with the Marlins (Tuesday-Thursday) and the Nationals (Friday-Sunday). Despite the loss to the Reds last night, which snapped an eight- game winning streak against Cincinnati, the Dodgers have won 17 of 20 games against the Redlegs since the start of the 2015 campaign. Los Angeles has also gone 9-1 in its last 10 games at Dodger Stadium against the Reds since August 14, 2015. The Boys in Blue swept the season series in 2017, 6-0, which was the first time the club had accomplished such a feat since 2006, when the club also took all six-games. The Dodgers tonight will host their third and final special event theme night of the homestand, as they will celebrate UCLA Night. MAEKEN MAGIC: Dodger right-hander Kenta Maeda will take the mound tonight as he will make his seventh start of the season against the Reds. Maeda last pitched on May 5 in Monterrey, Mexico against the Padres, allowing three runs on four hits in 5.0 innings with seven strikeouts as he did not factor in the decision. In six starts this season, Maeda has gone 2-2 with a 4.15 ERA (14 ER/30.1 IP) and has struck out 39 batters against just 11 walks in 30.1 innings. The Osaka, Japan native has posted a 11.57 strikeout per nine innings as a starter, which currently ranks fifth best among National League starters, while his 3.55 strikeout- to-walk ratio ranks 17 th best in the Senior Circuit. In two career games (one start) against the Reds, Maeda has gone 1-0 with one save and has allowed just two runs in 9.0 innings (2.00 ERA), while striking out 11 batters against just one walk. He has held Cincinnati hitters to a .182 average, while posting a 0.78 WHIP. In three starts at Dodger Stadium this season, Maeda has posted a 1-1 record with a 1.98 ERA (3 ER/13.2 IP) and has struck out 19 batters against just four walks. Throughout his career, Maeda has performed very well at the Ravine, going 16-7 with one save and posting a 2.98 ERA, while holding hitters to a .227 average in 32 career games (29 starts). He has also struck out 182 batters against just 45 walks in 169.0 career innings at home. SEEING RED: Following last night’s 4-1 loss to the Reds in the series

opener, the Dodgers dropped to 1-2 in their six-game homestand against

Arizona (1-1) and Cincinnati (0-1) and have lost four of their last five

games. The last time Los Angeles started the season going 16-21 or

worse in its first 37 games of the year was in 2013, when the club went

15-22. After the slow start, the 2013 Dodgers won the National League

West division and reached the National League Championship Series

against the St. Louis Cardinals. Following the weekend series against

the Reds and a travel day on Monday, the Boys in Blue will begin a six-

Despite the loss to the Reds last night, which snapped an eight-
