Peace with YUVA

There is no path to peace, peace is the only path.

-Mahatma Gandhi

In today’s age everyone is in search of mental peace due to the rush in

life. But most of us fail to understand that the peace of mind lies

within us, and to gain it we need to peep deep inside ourselves and

introspect. Healthy being is one whose mental as well as physical

state is at peace and ‘what exercise is to body, meditation is to mind’.

To introduce this to YUVA students of The IIS University, a

workshop was organized on 30th of January at 11:00 am in New Hall.

It was the first time a pan India meditation workshop observing the

peace and non - violence day. Moreover, mindfulness training for

students gives them tools to help them remain calm, sustain attention,

and able to focus. It reduces stress and anxiety and boots levels of

attention and concentration. Chief Guest for the workshop was Mr.

Narpat Singh who enlightened the members of ‘CII YI’ with his

words of wisdom and an experimental session was conducted by Sr.

Shimla which was followed by a twenty minute meditative session.

Overall it was an enthralling and learning experience.
