Q. Will the subject's SSN be identified when booked? Primary Source Verification?A. Most of the time the subject’s SSN is included in CI NY results, thus leading to a positive identification before doing any additional research. However, it does depend on the jail and there are very few times a SSN may not be included. Most booking records contain SSNs, other identifiers such as name, date of birth and address are also available and used when doing a Primary Source Verification. Q. What if the subject lived outside of NY in the past 10 years?A. We recommend to all of our clients do a thorough background investigation. If the subject has lived outside of NY, CI recommends that you run the appropriate counties based upon the subject’s address history as revealed by the Origin inquiry.
