We are looking forward to another great CPS Sports Day.

SPECIAL UNIFORM ORDERS Notices have been sent home with students today for our special order uniform items. These items are only ordered once a year and we do not keep them in our main uniform stock so please consider carefully if you wish to make an order. The CPS spray jackets are light weight and very popular amongst the students and the winter tunic/skirt are a great alternative for the girls during winter. All orders will require a $20 deposit per item and MUST be received at the office by Wednesday 24th March to ensure we can get our school order in before the end of term.

MEET WINNIE Towards the end of 2020 Churchill

Primary School held a Krispy Kreme fundraiser which was extremely well supported by the families and our wonderful Churchill community, raising a little over $2000. This money was put towards securing a very special (and fluffy) new addition to the Churchill Primary School team – Winnie! Winnie is a 5 month old Border Collie who will be trained as a therapy dog once she reaches a year old. When not at school she lives with Mrs McColl who is really looking forward to doing the training alongside Winnie when the time comes! I hope everyone enjoys the extended long weekend and look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday for our school photos!

KURNAI NEWS

Hello everyone, it is great to be able to introduce myself as the Campus Principal at Kurnai College, Churchill Campus. Following a very interesting year in 2020, I certainly hope 2021 will be much more ‘normal’ for us all.

Even though we had a disrupted year, the relationship with Kurnai Churchill and our feeder Primary Schools continued to strengthen. Whilst many of our Transition programs were put on hold last year, we are certainly looking forward to the first transition activity known as ‘Awareness Day’. On this day students in Grade 5 and 6 will spend the day participating in activities and classes at Churchill Campus.

We are always looking for ways to improve transition for students from Primary school into a Secondary setting and would love to hear any suggestions from our Primary families.

I would like to invite any Grade 5/6 parents to have a cuppa and chat with myself and Darren Campbell, Year 7 Team Leader on Friday, March 5th at 9.30 am as an opportunity to discuss anything about Kurnai College and Secondary School.

Kind regards,

Churchill Campus Principal
