Exodus 24:3-7The Commitment: Vs.3 , 7“ALL THAT THE LORD HAS

SPOKEN, WE WILL DO, AND WE WILL BE

OBEDIENT”Made twice!

Exodus 32:1“Make us a god.”

I. PEOPLE TURNED AWAY DUE TO DISSATISFACTION AND UNBELIEF

Exodus 32:1“..saw that Moses delayed to come down….”

II. PEOPLE TURNED AWAY DUE TO IMPATIENCE WITH GOD AND/ORTHE LEADER

Exodus 32:2-4“..This is your god who brought you out……”

III. PEOPLE TURNED AWAY DUE TO LEADERS’ COMPROMISE

Exodus 32:6“….rose up early …offered sacrifices

sat down to eat and drink..and

rose to play.”

IV. PEOPLE TURNED AWAY DUE TO THEIR OWN SPIRITUAL ADULTERY

Exodus 32:7-8“Go down.….for

your people….have corrupted

themselves..”

THE PEOPLE QUICKLY TURNED ASIDE FROM THE WAY!

Exodus 32:9“I have seen these people..behold…

obstinate people..”

THE PEOPLE QUICKLY TURNED ASIDE FROM THE WAY!

Exodus 32:10“..Let Me

alone...that I may destroy....”

God’s anger burned against

the people!

Exodus 32:10“..and I will make

you a great nation.”

God’s judgment sanctifies!

VS. 11 MOSES INTERCEDED

VS. 14 SO THE LORD CHANGED HIS MIND

Vs.19 Moses’ anger burned…shattered

the tablets…burned the calf to powder and made the people

drinkVs. 21 Aaron reasoned out

and blamed the peopleVs. 25 The people were out of

control because Aaron let them….to be a derision among

their enemies
