Genesis 1: 6-8

“In the Beginning: My Embraceable You”

Spiritual Principle: Early morning stretch

After you have uttered your first prayer, “Illumine Me!” Rise and greet the day with your second thought/prayer/activity. Look out the window and gaze up into the sky. Rain or shine, allow the sky to be the welcoming embrace from God that includes you in His grand design on this new day. As God draws you closer, and as you draw near to God, listen for the rhythm of God’s heartbeat. Let the cadence of God’s heart beat match the tempo of your day. Know that God is embracing you, not only for inclusion, but also for protection. Pray that God continues to embrace you throughout the day so that temptation and sin does not interrupt your calling for this day.

~Scott Efird
