2020 ANNOUNCED MASSES
We are now taking reservations for Mass Intentions at Resurrection for 2020. (Limit seven masses per family and two names per Mass). Please use the ORANGE Booklets at the doors of the Church (available today), Please complete the form and return with offering of $20.00 per Mass to Sunday Collection or Rectory by July 15, 2019. This is the ONLY way to reserve Masses before August 12th. ORANGE forms will be numbered as they are returned and reservations are first come, first serve. Remembering a loved one at Mass is a noble and recommended way to honor a deceased person. Starting Monday, August 13th, Mass Intentions are available in person at Rectory, Monday-Friday 9AM-4PM.

FAREWELL FR. JON TODAY Fr Jon has been stationed here since 2016 and his 3 year term is coming to an end. He will be reassigned to St. James Church, Carmel, NY effective July 1st. We will miss him sorely In recognition of Fr. Jon’s service here, he will celebrate Mass of Thanksgiving TODAY at 11:15 am. 2019 CARDINAL’S APPEAL There are so many reasons why the Cardinal’s Appeal is important, not only to those in need in the archdiocese, but also to us, in our parish community. Your support of the Appeal helps countless people, and sustains the good work of our parishes. The archdiocesan goal for the 2019 Appeal is $20 million. And our individual parish goal is $350,000. We ask that you prayerfully consider your gift. It is only with your support that this campaign can be a success. We all have in our hearts the capacity to give as Jesus asked us to do.
There will be a Last Chance Collection for the Cardinal’s Appeal this weekend. Please use the orange special envelope from your mailing, additional envelopes are available at Church doors. The Cardinal’s Appeal ends June 30th in our parish. Thank you for your anticipated generosity.

THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST (CORPUS CHRISTI) June 23, 2019
“Brothers and sisters: I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said ‘This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
Words so familiar, accompanied by the gestures of looking up, thanking, breaking and giving. Every Eucharist the words of Paul, and of Jesus at the last supper echo in our ears. We might be surprised to know that Paul’s teaching of the Corinthians, predates the last supper accounts in the gospels. It was already known, repeated and celebrated. How interesting, we call that a ‘tradition’, a handing over. Paul uses the word twice in a different way. He hands the story to his disciples, and describes the handing over of Jesus for the passion. The great gift of the Eucharist brings us together with the Lord, forming a relationship with Him, making us one with each other and permits us to acknowledge a living Presence among us. At every mass, in every tabernacle, the Lord is present to be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection. Remember the person who met Philip and said ‘Sir, we would like to see Jesus?’ He is here. *******************************
