1. What is the plan of God for man?

God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a

plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him

share in his own blessed life. In the fullness of time, God

the Father sent his Son as the Redeemer and Savior of man-

kind, fallen into sin, thus calling all into his Church and,

through the work of the Holy Spirit, making them adopted

children and heirs of his eternal happiness.

2. Why does man have a desire for God?

God himself, in creating man in his own image, has

written upon his heart the desire to see him. Even if this

desire is often ignored, God never ceases to draw man to

himself because only in God will he find and live the full-

ness of truth and happiness for which he never stops search-

ing. By nature and by vocation, therefore, man is a religious

being, capable of entering into communion with God. This

intimate and vital bond with God confers on man his funda-

Would you draw or write graffiti

on the walls of a church?

Of course not! You know that the church building is a sacred place, thanks firstly to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ, Body and Blood, in the tabernacle. You should know to behave with reverence there, including how to dress for church.

On another level, the human body is to be re-spected as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6:19), for you have been made in God’s image and likeness (Gen 1:26) and He took a body in Jesus in order to redeem us. Thus, do not disfigure yourself with tattoos (Lv 19:28), even “Catholic” images, or exaggerated/inappropriate piercings. If you do have a tattoo already, then please cover it, especially while you are in church.

Enseñanzas sobre su Fé Católica

1. ¿Cuál es el designio de Dios para el hombre?

Dios, infinitamente perfecto y bienaventurado en sí mismo, en un designio de pura bondad ha creado libremente al hombre para hacerle partícipe de su vida bienaventurada. En la plenitud de los tiempos, Dios Padre envió a su Hijo como Reden-tor y Salvador de los hombres caídos en el pecado, convocándolos en su Iglesia, y haciéndolos hijos suyos de adopción por obra del Espíritu Santo y herederos de su eterna bienaventuranza.

2. ¿Por qué late en el hombre el deseo de Dios?

Dios mismo, al crear al hombre a su propia imagen, in-scribió en el corazón de éste el deseo de verlo. Aunque el hombre a menudo ignore tal deseo, Dios no cesa de atraerlo hacia sí, para que viva y encuentre en Él aquella plenitud de verdad y felicidad a la que aspira sin descanso. En consecuencia, el hombre, por naturaleza y vocación, es un ser esencialmente religioso, capaz de entrar en comunión con Dios. ¿Escribiria usted <<grafiti>> en las paredes del templo?

¡CLARO QUE NO! Ya sabe usted, querido lector, que el templo es sagrado, primeramente por ser la morada de Dios, gracias al Santisimo Sacramento en el sagrario. Debemos saber que hay que portarse allí con reverencia, incluso en nuestra presentación cuando asistimos a Misa u otro rito.

Asimismo, el cuerpo humano es elemento íntegro de la persona humana (ademàs que su alma). Puesto que hemos sido hechos en imagen y semejanza de Dios (Gen 1,26) y que Dios tomó la carne humana en Jesucristo para redimirnos, hay que respetar el cuerpo humano como templo del Espíritu Santo (1 Cor 6,19).

Evitemos de profanar o mutilar nuestros cuerpos con tatuaje (Lev 19,28), hasta de imàgenes o temas católicos o me-ter aros exagerados o indignos de nuestro sexo o nuestra identidad católica. Si lamentablemente haya cometido usted el error de conseguir un tatuaje, le conviene cubrirlo (y esto lo exigimos antes de entrar el templo).

According to Saint Augustine, the North African big sinner who became later in life an even greater saint in the fourth and fifth centuries of Christ (also known as the “Doctor of Grace”), there are seven reasons why God does not grant our prayers:

1. Because of our sins; 2. Because our attitude is not good; 3. Because we pray badly; 4. We do not persevere in prayer; 5. Most importantly, we do not pray humbly; 6. We pray without faith; 7. We ask for things which are not good for us.

mos a todo católico, comenzando con los padres de familia (para dar buen ejemplo a los jóvenes), de vestirse con digni-dad, especialmente en el templo. Aunque es verdad que nada està oculto de los ojos de Dios, tampoco hay que mostrar todo o casi todo a los demàs.

Ademàs, favor apagar los teléfonos celulares, quitarse las unidades del Bluetooth e I-Pod, aplazar las charlas mundanas y dejar de masticar chicle antes de entrar al templo. ¿Siendo nosotros embajadores de Cristo, cómo portamos y presenta-mos entre nos y con la otra gente?
