Dear Parishioner,

The Resurrection of our Lord was the

most important and the most joyous of all the

happenings in the history of mankind. Christ’s

being raised from the dead meant that His

prophetic promise would one day be fulfilled.

“Wonder not at this,’ He said, ‘for the

hour comes, wherein all those that are in the

grave shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and

they that have done good things shall come forth

unto the resurrection of life.”

The joy of all Christians over Christ’s

resurrection and our own resurrection to come

will be shown by the church in the repeated

alleluia, in the altar lilies, in the priestly

vestments and in other ways throughout the

Easter Season.

In the light of Christ’s resurrection and in

His infallible promise of our own, we should

never despair, never be pessimists. Ours should

be an optimism that persuades us to believe and

to hope and to know that no matter how bad the

world may appear to be, no matter how hopeless

things may seem, we will rise from the dead, and

that we have a permanent Heaven waiting for us.

We know too how to get there, thanks to the

Apostles and the Catholic Church established by

our Risen Lord.

May the peace and happiness of our Risen

Savior fill your heart and remain with you

always.

Best Wishes for a Blessed Easter!

Rev. Ted Pieper
