WheRe We WoRk TEAR Fund’s partner Compassion has more than 50 years’ experience of helping children

in need. At present, more than a million children attend Compassion child developmentcentres in 25 of the world’s poorest countries. Compassion partners with 5,000 churchesfrom a variety of denominations. Individual sponsors contribute $45 a month to TEARFund to support one child.

• CHRIST CENTERED Christ is at the centre of all we do. All TEAR Fund andCompassion employees are Christian as areour local church partners. We follow God’sWord in response to the Great Commissionby teaching the life changing gospel to every

child in a culturally relevant way.

• CHILD FOCUSED TEAR Fund and Compassion engage eachchild as a complete person, addressingtheir spiritual, physical, economic and socialneeds, enabling them to become responsibleand fullled Christian adults. Children are

particularly receptive to the gospel and ourchurch based programmes are thereforepowerful tools for evangelism.

• CHURCH BASEDLocal churches provide continuity, stability,security and are best placed to reach outwith the love of Christ to those in greatestneed in their communities. TEAR Fundthrough Compassion equips local churchesso they can realise their vision of changing

their communities for the better.
