What are Spiritual Gifts?
![Page 6: Church evaluation process](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081519/555007eeb4c90579108b562f/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
In the church there are two major problems related to the subject of spiritual gifts:
1. Too few Christians are involved in any kind of ministry. They conceive of themselves as spectators rather than participants.
2. Those who are actively involved in the ministry of the local church, but who are not functioning in a ministry which corresponds to their spiritual gifts.
Spiritual Gifts

1 Peter 4:10 Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God.
Spiritual gifts are a matter of individual stewardship

To conduct a critical reflection of our church’s
overall effectiveness in ministry as it pertains
to our church vision and mission. ***The purpose is not to critique the church, but to
enable transformational ministry to build on the church's strengths while confronting weaknesses and avoiding past mistakes.
What is the purpose of the Evaluation Process?
![Page 12: Church evaluation process](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081519/555007eeb4c90579108b562f/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Is its fellowship warm and loving? Does it demonstrate and practice its commitment
to God’s Word? Are the decisions of its leaders and church body
made through prayer and in faith? Are you growing in love with God daily as a result
of being associated with this church? Are you held accountable for your own obedience
to God’s Word outside the church? Are your leaders men and women of integrity,
character and love? Do your leaders show evidence of spiritual growth
over the course of time?
How do you view your church?
