The evidence must show that the candidate… Prepares and performs installation as indicated in the plan to

ensure that safety measures, policies and procedures followed.

Consults Technical personnel to ensure that the work are coordinated effectively with others involved on the worksite

Obtains computer systems and network devices in accordance with the established procedures and to comply with requirements

Determines location where devices and systems to be installed are

based from job requirements

Determines appropriate materials to complete the work obtained in accordance with established procedures and checked against job requirements

Obtains tools, equipment and testing devices needed to carry out the installation work in accordance with established procedures and checked for correct operation and safety

Checks preparatory work to ensure that no unnecessary damage has occurred and that work complies with requirements

Follows occupational health and safety policies and procedures in

installing computer systems , network devices, and peripherals

Installs computer systems, network devices and peripherals in accordance with the established procedures and complies with requirements *

Observes appropriate procedures in installing computer systems, network devices and peripherals achieve in accordance with requirements without damage or distortion to the surrounding environment and services *

Carries out test variations to devices/systems installation in accordance with the customer/client’s requirements *

Responds to unplanned events or conditions in accordance with

established procedures

Obtains approval in accordance with established procedures from appropriate personnel before any contingencies implemented

Undertakes ongoing checks of the quality of work in accordance

with the established procedures

Checks circuits and systems as being isolated where necessary using specified testing procedures

EVIDENCE PLAN

Removes parts or connections of the installation or service in order to conduct the test stored to protect against loss or damage and in accordance with established procedures

Terminates devices/systems and/or installation tested in accordance with the industry requirements

Undertakes final inspections to ensure that the installed

devices/systems conforms to clients requirements *

Forwards documents in relation to the test to appropriate personnel and/or authority in accordance with requirements
