INTRODUCTION

IfthereisanythingmissinginChristianitytodayitis

truespirituality,wehavegonesodeepintodead

religionthatwe’vebegintothinkthisdeadthingis

spirituality.Wedoalotofweirdandstrangestuffand

wecallthem spirituality.Wehavenotbeenableto

perceivethedifferencebetweenman’sreligionand

thereligionthatisChrist,theonethatisfromabove,

forthatwhich is above is greater.We are not

practicingareligioninthesensethatmandoes,we

arepracticingChrist.Goddidn’tgiveusareligion,He

gaveusChrist;HesentHisonlybegottenSonthathe

mightbecomeourallinall.Yes,Christisourreligion

andourspirituality.

EversinceAdamsinnedagainstGodanddied,allthat

manhasknownisdeath.Lifebecamealientohim

becauseeverywherehelooksheseesdeath.Christis

thelife,theonlylifedescendedoutofheavenintoa

worldfilledwithdeadness.Andbecausemanhad

onlyknowndeathitwasdifficultforhimtoadjustto

lifewhenJesuscametogivelife;“Icomethatthey

mighthavelife,andhaveitmoreabundantly.”(John

10:10). Allthesewhilewehavebeenpracticingdead

religion and dead spirituality,buta Christ-filled

Christianityisonethatisfilledwithlife,asChristis

thelife.

WhatthelivingGodislookingoutforislife,andwhen

heseesthatwhichistrulylivingasheisliving,he

wouldresthisgloryuponit.SoGodissearchingfora

ChristianitythatisfilledwithChrist,aspiritualitythat

has Christ at the center and as the whole

circumference.Duetothelackofaproperfoundation

(Christ)inourpursuitofspiritualitymanyofushave

divedintosomereallystrangeandweirdstuff,dead

thingsthatproducenolife.Allyouhavetodoislook

attheirfruits,“Forbytheirfruitsyoushallknowthem”

(Matt7:20).

Whatfruitisyourspiritualityproducing?Isitonethat

ismakingyouself-righteous,proud,cravingforpower,

devoidoflove,isolatingyoufromthebelovedbodyof

Christ?Youknow,heresydoesnotoriginallymean

anydoctrinethatiswrong and blasphemous.It

actuallymeansanything,nomatterhowtrueandholy

itmaybethatcausesonetoseparatefromthebody

ofChrist,formhisowngrouporremaininisolation.

Manyare slowlydrifting awayin the depth of

weirdness,forminggroupsofweirdpacks:welacka

properanchor,andasaresultweareeasilycarried

away.Someoftheseweirdnesshavebecomethe

norm inChristianity,ithasbeenpracticedsooften

andhavegainedsuchwidespreadthatitisnowseen

asnormal.Asyoucontinueinthisbookyoureyeswill

beopentosomeofthesestrangethingsthathave

becomenormal.Yes,youmaygetalotofshockand

eventhinkthatthetruthsdescribedinthisbookis

heresy,becausewhentheliebecomethedominant

thingtruthbecomesheresy.

Youmightevenfeellikethrowingawaythisbook,it

mighttaketimetorecoverfromtheshock,butalways

remembertosubmittotheHolySpirit,exaltinghim

aboveeveryofman’stradition,foritisthisSpiritthat

ChristyourLordandsaviorhasgivenyoutoguideyou

intoalltruths(John16:13).Hedidn’tgiveanytradition

toguideyouintoalltruths,hedidn’tgiveyouanyman

toguideyouintoalltruths,hedidn’tevengiveany

booktoguide,butratherhesaidhewouldsendthe

HolySpirit,theSpiritoftruth,toguideyouintoall

truths.Sonomatterhowlongyourshockmaylast,if

youremainsubmissivetotheSpirit,youwillsurely

comeintothetruth.

"Theheartisdeceitfulaboveall

things,anddesperatelywicked:who

canknowit?"(Jer17:9).

Theheartisverydeceitful;itisgoodatdeceivingit

ownself.Youthinkyouaredoingsomethingrightand

goodbutallthewhileyouareallaboutyourselfish

agenda.Itisallaboutyou,youarenotexpressing

Christ,andyouonlycareaboutyourself.Theseare

thethingsthatthespiritualmanconsiders;hedoes

notgetoverwhelmedwithallthethingshappening

physically,alltheseappearancesappeasinghiscarnal

senses.Heismostconcernwithwhatisintheheart;

how tomanifestChrist,how togetChristintothe

heart,howtogettheheartfilledwithChristbecause,

"outoftheheartflowstheissuesoflife."(Pro4:23).

Andbecausehegivesmoreattentiontotheheart,he

isabletonoticethedeceptioninit.

Themoreyoufocusyourgazeonsomethingthemore

youcanseethingsandnoticethingsthatothersdidn't

notice.Youaresoconcernedaboutoutwardthings

andyougetsooverwhelmedwithitthatyoudidn't

noticeyourheartdeceivingitself;youdidn'tnoticeit

ignoringthetruthandpushingitawaytillyouaccepta

lie.Everythinghappenedsosubtleandsofastthat

you didn'tnotice,you are so overwhelmed with

outwardappearancethatyoudidn'tseeallthose

thingsplayingoutinwardly.Yes,everyoneofusis

guiltyofthis;wethinkwhatGoddesireisallthese

outwardthingsandwearesofocusedonthem that

wedidn'tnoticethesubtlehypocrisygoingoninour

hearts.Theheartissodeceptivethatitkeepstricking

you,makingyoufeelyouaredoingtherightthing,but

youarenothingbutahypocrite.

WeallneedtoruntoGod,askformercyandrepent.

Buteveninthisrepentingweareoftendeceivedinour

hearts.Werepentandthenfindourselvesgoingback

tothesamething.Youwonder,"WhydoIkeepgoing

backtothisthing,butIrepented".No,youhaven'ttruly

repented,youthinkyouhaverepented,butyoudidn't,

yourhearthasdeceivedyouagainbecauseyouhave

notbeenlisteningcloselytotheheart.Yes,itrequires

alotofattentiontocatchtheheartredhanded.Ifyou

donotpayattentiontotheheart,youwouldkeep

goingincirclesthinkingyouhavetrulyrepented.You

willputtheblameonsomanythingsandkeep

missingit.

Ohtheheartissodeceptive,whocanknowit;only

thosewhowouldrefusetogetsooverwhelmedwith

outwardappearancesandstartpayingcloseattention

totheheart.Itisonlyaspiritualmanthatcantruly

please God.While the carnalman is allabout

appearances,thespiritualmanistendingtohisheart,

forGodlooksattheheart.Ohcanwehavepeople

whoknow how totendtotheheartlikeagarden,

allowingLife(Christ)togrowintherichesofhisglory,

justasflowersfillingthewholegardenwithbeauty?

Whenourheartshavebecomesobeautifulandso

richwithChrist,thenitbecomeseasiertomanifest

him morepurely.Ifyourheartisnotpure,your

manifestationofhimcannotbepure.Theheartisso

important,tendtoit.

KnowingAndRecognizingTheThingsInYourheart

Wepaylittleattentiontotheheart,andthat'swhywe

struggletorecognizecertainthings.Itisclearthat

Godisconcernedabouttheheart,andifthatiswhat

Heisconcernedwith,thenwetoomuchbeconcerned

aboutit.InthisNewCovenantGodhasdecidedto

judgeusbasedontheheart.

“Youhaveheardthatourancestors

weretold,‘Youmustnotmurder.If

youcommitmurder,youaresubject

tojudgment.’ButIsay,ifyouare

evenangrywithsomeone,youare

subjecttojudgment!Ifyoucall

someoneanidiot,youareindanger

ofbeingbroughtbeforethecourt.

Andifyoucursesomeone,youare

indangerofthefiresofhell...You

haveheardthecommandmentthat

says,‘Youmustnotcommit

adultery.’ButIsay,anyonewhoeven

looksatawomanwithlusthas

alreadycommittedadulterywithher

inhisheart.”(Matt5:21-22,28).

"Anyonewhohatesanotherbrother

orsisterisreallyamurdererat

heart."(1John3:15).

CanyouseethatGodisgreatlyconcernaboutthe

things you do in yourheart,the sins thatare

committedthereisenoughforjudgment.Yes,God’s

judgmentwouldbebasedonallthosethingsyoudo

inyourheart.Youaresobusytryingtodisciplineyour

actions,tryingtoactholy,todothethingsyouare

supposedtodo,butallthewhileGodislookingat

whatisgoingoninyourheart.Youmightbedoing

somethingphysically,butinyourheartyouaredoing

another,andwhileyouarebeingsoconcernabout

whatyoudophysicallyGodisbusylookingatyour

heart.Wehaveplacedsomuchofourfocusonthe

physicalactionsthatweneglecttheissuesofthe

heart.Yes,onecanbedisciplinedinactions,buthis

heartisfarastray.

Nowasyoubegintopaycloseattentiontoyourheart,

youwillseeandrecognizecertainthings.Ihaveheard

somepeoplesaythingslike,"Lustiswhenyoulookat

awomantwice".Thatisrubbish,andjustcarnal.Lust

isnotdeterminedbytheamountoftimeyoulookat

something,itisdeterminedbywhatisactuallygoing

oninyourheart.Rightthereinyourheartthereis

something called lustpresenting itself,and the

momentyougiveyourselftothatthingthenyouhave

lusted.Youcanlookatsomethingonceandlust;as

longasyouopenyourhearttothatthingcalledlust

andgiveyourselftoitthenyouareguiltyofthesin.

Becausepeopledonotpayattentiontotheirhearts,

theydon'tknowwhentheygivethemselvestolust,

theyarelookingforsomethinginthephysicalthat

wouldtellthemtheyhavelusted.Thatisliketryingto

look forsomething outside yourselfto tellyou

whetherornotyouarehungry.Weareonlydeceiving

ourselveswheneverwelooktopointtosomething

outsideofourselvesandsay,"Yes,thisdetermines

whetherornotIamlusting".

Weneedtogrowupandstopactingsoimmatureand

silly.Youaresofocusedonthephysicalthingsgoing

on,sobusyfightingthesinthatyoudonotrealizethat

youhavealreadygivenyourselftothatsininyour

heart.Onceyouhavegivenyourselftoitinyourheart,

thenyouarealreadydefeated,nofightingwould

changeanything,youarealreadyinlust.Anddon'tbe

sofoolishtotrytojustifyitbysaying,"Well,Ididn't

committhesin,Ionlylusted".Thelustisthesin,that

thingthathappenedinyourheartiswhatGodis

judging.

Youarebusyfightingsinwhileyouhavealreadybeen

defeated in yourheart.Itisdeception,you are

deceivingyourself.Theheartisverytricky,itmakes

youfeelyouaredoingsomethingnoble,youare

fightingthissin,andyoumightevenfeelyouare

winning,butthetruthisthatyouhavebeendefeated

inyourheart;asfarasGodisconcernyouhave

alreadycommittedthesin.Youhavenotpaidenough

attentiontoyourheart,youdidn'tnoticethedefeat,

youarebusyparadingyourselfinhypocrisy,thinking

youareholy.

Ifonlywehavebeenpayingenoughattentiontoour

heartswewouldknow lust,youwon'tneedany

physicalthingtotellyouwhetherornotyouare

lusting.Youwouldseeyourselfinyourheart,andyou

wouldseeifyouhavegivenyourselftothatlustinside,

orifyouhavesucceededinwithholdingyourselffrom

being captured by it.Once you have become

consciousofallthesethingsyoucanstartlearning

howtowithholdyourself,youcanmasterit;youcan

buildawallaroundyourself.InChristhugewallsof

salvationalreadysurroundsus;weonlyneedtolearn

tomanifestthisrealityinourhearts.

"Inthatday,everyoneinthelandof

Judahwillsingthissong:Ourcityis

strong!Wearesurroundedbythe

wallsofGod’ssalvation."(Isa26:1).

Yes,thewallsarealreadythereinthespirit,youonly

needtopayenoughattentiontoyourheartinorderto

manifestthisrealityinyourheart.Ihaveusedlustas

anexamplebutthisalsoappliestoothersthings.You

canknowyourheartsowellthatyoucanseeand

recognizethelustinit,theanger,thehate,the

jealousy,theprejudice,etc.Youcansay,"Heythisis

lust,thisisangeroverhere,thisishatestandingthere,

thisisjealousy,nowallofyoustayoutbehindthewall,

whileIremaininChristmysalvation".Andyoucan

makeadecisiontoremainwithinthesafetyofthose

wallsandjustenjoyChristinthiseternalSabbath.

NothingcanhaveyouinChrist,alltheycandoistryto

lureyouout;theycanneverhaveyouaslongasyou

abideinChrist.Youjusthavetodecidetoabide,make

adecisionnevertobeluredoutsideagain.

Thisiswhatrepentanceis;itisallaboutgettingoutof

sininordertocomeintoChrist,makingadecision

neveragaintogiveyourselftothatsin,nomatterhow

muchtheytrytolureyou.Itisnotashardasyouthink,

Christhasgivenuseverythingweneed,hehasgiven

usthewall,whatelseareyoulacking,whydoyou

keepreturningtothatsin?No,sinnolongerhas

poweroveryou,youaretheonegivingyourselftoit,

andyouneedtostopthat,youneedtorepentfrom

that.Intheprocessofpayingcloseattentiontoyour

heartyouwillnoticeotherthingstheretoo,notjust

thebadthingsbutthingslikethevoiceofGod.

Yes,manyChristiansarestrugglingtorecognizeand

know thevoiceofGod becausetheydon'tpay

attention to their hearts; they are often so

overwhelmedwiththethingshappeningphysically

around them.They have unconsciously trained

themselvestoignorewhateverishappeningintheir

hearts,infactithasbecomelikeacomputerprogram

thathappensautomatically—theyignoretheirheartby

default.Butthemomentyoutrainyourselftopay

moreattentiontoyourheartyouwillrecognizethe

thingsinitwhichincludesthevoiceofGod.

YoucanknowtheLife(Christ)inyourheart;youcan

differentiatehimfromtheHolySpirit,andthevoiceof

God.LivingtheChristianlifebecomeseasierwhenwe

stopbeingsocarnal,sooverwhelmedbythethings

goingonallaroundus,andstartbecomingmore

consciousoftheSpiritandhowhewantstogetour

heartsfilledwithChristsowecouldmanifesthim.

It'sAMatterOfTheIssuesOfTheHeart

Ineedtogivethisonemoreemphasis,becausewe

loveusingthewords,"Godislookingatmyheartnot

myappearance",asanexcusetodresshoweverway

welike,thinkingitdoesn'tmatter.Yes,itisamatterof

theheartnottheappearance,buteverythingwe

do—our appearance—are alldetermined by the

conditionofourhearts.Whywouldaladyalwayswear

clothesthatexposesmuchskinandapplyalotof

makeups,isthatnotacryforattention?Inherheart

selfhasbecomeagod;shewantstodrawattention

toself,togetpeopletonoticeher,shewantspeople

tothinksheishot,shewantstobecomepopular.She

posts pictures of herself,half naked oreven

completelynakedsoitcangoviral,peoplewouldtalk

aboutitandthenshegetssomewhatpopular.

Sometimesthesethingsstartlittlebylittle.Shewears

adressthatshowalittlemoreskinandthenpeople

arelike,"wowsheissohot".Shelikesit,andnext

timesheshowsevenmoreskin,andeverybodygoes

like,"wow,sheisreallybringingittonight".Guysare

goingcrazyoverher,andasaresultheregois

rooftophigh,ohshelovesit.Thennextshedecidesto

gonaked,thinkinginhermind,"Theywentcrazyfor

melasttimebutthistimetheywillstartfallingdown

deadforme".Can'tyouseewhatiswrongwiththat

heart,heregohaspossessedher,ithasbeenallowed

togrowsohugethatnowshedesirestobeworship,

shewantstobecomeagod.Thisisthesamething

thatcausedLucifertofall.Youdesirepraiseandyou

evenloveit,youaresoconcernedaboutwhatpeople

sayaboutyou,youwanttobecomeagodintheir

hearts.

Whydopeoplecravetolookexpensive?Theywantto

wearthemostexpensiveclothestothegatheringand

alsoarrivethereinthemostexpensivecar.Isn'tthata

cryforattention?Youwanttobepraised,tobethe

talkofthetown.Whyareyoustrugglingsohardto

promoteself,tocreateforyourself,akindofimagein

theheartofpeople,togetthem toloveyouoreven

adoreyou?Yourheartisrotten;youhavegiven

yourselftothepamperingofyourego,settingupego

asanidol,andbecomingaddictedtopouringout

offeringsuntothisidol.

Yes,yourheartisfilthy,andyoucannotcontinuewith

Godwiththatkindofheart.Weneedtowatchour

hearts,thereisdefinitelysomethingwrongwithyour

heartifyoudiscoverthatwheneveryouaregetting

preparedtogoout,thedominantthoughtsinyour

heartsaresomethinglikethis,"whatwouldpeoplesay

aboutme...wouldtheythinkIam hot...wouldthey

thinkIamcool...wouldtheyevennoticeme...Iwant

mynametobeoneveryonelips...letthemallsaycool

stuffaboutme,letthemadoreme..."

TheBibletellsusthatthewisearesimple.Thereis

nothingwrongwithdesiringnottolooktooodd,but

whenyourmajorfocusispaintingaglorifiedpicture

ofyourselfintheheartofpeople,thenyouhavean

egoproblem.Whyareyousoconcernedaboutself?

AsaChristian,aren'tyousupposedtodietoself?

Thenwhyareyousoconcernedabouthowthisselfis

presentedtopeople?Whyareyouputtingsomuch

effortinpromotingthisselfthatismeanttodie,that

ismeanttobetakentothecross?Iamnotsayingwe

shoulddresshoweverwaywelikebecausewedon't

carewhatpeoplethinkofus.Thereareappropriate

dressesforeveryoccasion.Lookappropriate,look

good,andmostofimportantlylooksimple.

"ButIfear,lestbyanymeans,asthe

serpentbeguiledEvethroughhis

subtilty,soyourmindsshouldbe

corruptedfromthesimplicitythatis

inChrist."(2Cor11:3).

Evewantedmore,shewantedaglorifiedself,sheis

notsatisfiedwithjustbeingEve,andasaresultshe

becameapreytothedevil.Beyourself(begodly,for

youbelongtoGod),besimple,becontented,andbe

satisfiedwithwhoyouareandwhatyouhave.Stop

tryingtopaintself,topromoteselforglorifyit,justlet

itdieandbefreetobepureandtrue.Letyourmajor

concernatalltimesbeaboutreflectingChrist.There

arevariouswaysthatwetrytopaintandglorifyself,I

onlyusedressingasanexample.Mypointisthatasa

spiritualmanyoumustcarefullyguardyourheart,be

watchfulandquicktodetecteveryattempttoidolize

self.

OurResourcesShouldBeFocusedOnTheHeartNot

TheAppearance

"Whatsorrowawaitsyouteachers

ofreligiouslawandyouPharisees.

Hypocrites!Foryouaresocarefulto

cleantheoutsideofthecupandthe

dish,butinsideyouarefilthy—fullof

greedandself-indulgence!Youblind

Pharisee!Firstwashtheinsideof

thecupandthedish,andthenthe

outsidewillbecomeclean,too.

Whatsorrowawaitsyouteachersof

religiouslawandyouPharisees.

Hypocrites!Foryouarelike

whitewashedtombs—beautifulon

theoutsidebutfilledontheinside

withdeadpeople’sbonesandall

sortsofimpurity.Outwardlyyou

looklikerighteouspeople,but

inwardlyyourheartsarefilledwith

hypocrisyandlawlessness."(Matt

23:25-28).

Now because we have place emphasis on the

appearance ratherthan the heart,mostofour

resources are targeted towards getting the

appearancecleanattheexpenseoftheheart.Inour

preaching,wearealwaysaddressingtheappearance

andinourchurcheswehavestrictrulesconcerning

appearances.Whenwewanttoaddresspeopleor

dealwiththeirspirituality,wetargeteverythingon

theirappearance.

“ButtheLordsaidtoSamuel,“Don’t

judgebyhisappearanceorheight,

forIhaverejectedhim.TheLord

doesn’tseethingsthewayyousee

them.Peoplejudgebyoutward

appearance,buttheLordlooksat

theheart.””(1Sam16:7).

"Aboveallelse,guardyourheart,for

everythingyoudoflowsfromit."

(Pro4:23).

SinceGodisconcernedabouttheheart,andthe

appearanceisdeterminedbytheheart,thenour

resourcesshouldbefocusedondealingwiththe

heart.Wheneverweareaddressingissues,letour

emphasisbeontheheart;ifwecangettheheart

cleanthentheappearancewillbeclean.Nowletme

pickwomenandthewearingoftrousers(orpants)as

acasestudy.Thistrendgrewbecauseofthespiritof

rebellion,adesiretolookmasculineandputupa

standagainsttheauthorityorroleofthemen.As

feminismgrew,itbecameahavenharboringthisfoul

spiritofrebellion.Iamnotsayingfeminismgavebirth

tothisspirit,butthisspirithaslongexistedanditlater

sawfeminism asagroundtogrowandspreadits

corruption.Andbyspirit,Iamnotreferringtoaliteral

spiritbeing(althoughitprobablyinvolvesthat),butI

amtalkingaboutanattitudeofthemind.

Throughoutthehistoryofmantherehavealways

beenwomenwhowouldtrytobelikemen,toconfuse

thegenderdifferencesandusurptheauthorityofa

man,thatcovetousspiritthatwouldnotbesatisfied,

alwayswantingwhatdoesnotbelongtoit.Menhave

theirrole,sodowomen;bothshouldfocusonplaying

theirdistinctroles.Ifthereisanyperceiveunfairness

orill-treatmentinthesocietyagainstanyofthis

gender,thereisnothing wrong with fighting for

fairness.Butwhenagenderbeginstocovetanother

gender,herebyrejectingitsownroleandtryingtotake

uponitselftheroleoftheothergender,thenthereis

somethingdefinitelywrongsomewhere.Youdon't

needtobecomeamantobetreatedfairlyinthe

society.Ifyouwantfairness,thenfightforitasa

woman,ratherthantryingtobecomemasculinein

ordertogetit.Yes,thatishow wearingtrousers

started;abunchofwomenwhowantedtofeeland

appearmasculineinordertoproveapoint.They

cameoutwiththewearingofsuits,trousersandbow

ties,andthenotherwomenbegantofollow.

Thatspiritspreadlikewildfire,growingwitheach

grounditcovers.Soonwearingmen’sclotheswasnot

enough;theyalsowantedtohaveaman'sfigure.In

the1950smodelsbecamethinnerandthinner,curves

becamelessdesirable.Thedesiretobethinledtoa

preoccupation with weightloss,resulting to the

eliminationoffatinthebutt,bustandhips.Women

weretendingtowardsamoreboyishfigure.Thisspirit

of covetousness and rebellion didn'tjusttake

advantageofthefeministmovement,ittotallytook

overit.Theimageoffeminism becameawoman

displayinghermuscleslikeaman,withaninscription,

"wecandoit!"Youdon'tneedtolooklikeamanin

ordertobeinspiredtopursueyourrightasamember

ofasociety.Menshouldremainmen,andwomen

shouldremainwomen.

Onegendershouldn'tcovettheothergenderandtry

emotionalsupportinthefamily.Thefamilyisthe

mostimportantpartofasocietyandthewomanhas

averyimportantroletoplayinit.Ifthereisa

dysfunctioninthefamily,itaffectsthewholesociety

inscalesbeyondanyknownmeasurement.Imaginea

generation who neverexperience mother’s love,

whoseparentneverhadtimeforthem,basicallyno

familybondoranyrealfamilylife.

“Andbecauseiniquityshallabound,

theloveofmanyshallwaxcold.”

(Matt24:11).

Thisiswhatthedevil,theruleroftheworld,has

plannedfortheworld,tomakeintimatebondandlove

analienthing.Thefamilyisthemajorplaceyouwill

findunconditionallove,andifthatbondisneverbuilt

suchthingasunconditionallovewillbelost,andthen

itwon’tbelongtillloveasawholebecomealien.How

wouldyoubeabletolovewhenyouneverlearnedlove,

whenyounevertrulyreceivelove,whenthevery

conceptisalientoyou?Ifwecontinueintheworld's

trendandremaininthepaththatthedevilisleading

uswewouldresultinself-destruction.

Manytodayhavebeguntoseethatthispaththat

humanhaschosenisleadingtonothingbutself-

destruction,buttheycan’thelpit.Youcannotchange

thisterribleend,butyoucanenterNoah’sark,youcan

stepouttodothingsdifferently,toenterintothat

form,tobebroughttothatconformitythatisalien

fromthetrendoftheworld.Idon’twanttowondertoo

faraway,let’sputtheissuesofthefamilyasideand

focusontheissueofspiritofcovetousness,thevery

rootoftheproblem.

Bycausingonegendertocovettheroleofanother

genderthedevilhopestoconfuseandevenerasethe

genderdifferences,herebyobscuringarealityinGod,

makingGodunknowableandhiddentoman.There

arerealitiesinGodthatcanonlybeunderstoodbythe

genderroles,ifthatcanbeobscurethenthesetruths

inGodwillbecomedifficultformantounderstand,

andthereforebecomehiddenandveiledtoman.We

understandthingsbaseonwhatweseearoundus,

andifwhatweseearoundusisperverted,thenour

understandingbecomesperverted.Wewouldonlysee

thingsthroughatintedglass,neverknowingthereal

truth.

Ourresourcesshouldbefocusedagainstthisspirit

thatisnowplantingitselfintheheartofournaiveand

innocentladies.Theydon’tknow whattheyare

subscribingto,theythinkit’sagoodthing,theydon't

knowthedifferencebetweenfightingforequality(to

begiventhesamefairtreatmentthatisgiventomen

bythesociety)andfightingtousurptheauthorityand

roleofaman.Theyhavemistakenthedesiretoattain

fairness for covetousness. Yes,this spirit of

covetousnessiswhatwearetofight,notthetrouser

itself.

Although the wearing oftrousers started as an

expression ofthatcovetousness overthe male

gender,overtimewomenbegantofindawayto

expressfemininethroughtrousers.Therearenow

femaletrousers,withshapeandstylethatmakeit

differentanduniquefrom whatamanwouldwear.

Thereshouldbedifferencesbetweenthetwogenders,

and theirdifferences should be expressed and

demonstrated,thisishowGoddesireit.Godhasa

wayofturningtheevilplansofthedevilandmakingit

allworktogetherforgood.Aslongasaladyputona

dressnotwiththatuglyspiritofcovetousnessand

thedesiretoexpressthemasculine,butinitstead

seekstoexpressherfeminine,IbelieveGodisokay

withit.BecauseGodlooksattheheart,Heislooking

forwhatisbeingexpressed;isitthatperversespiritof

rebellionorareyousimplybeingtruetothetruth?

Weknowthatthereareculturesinthemiddleeast

who’straditioniswomenontrousers,andthereisa

cultureinEuropewho’straditionismenputtingon

skirts.Andculturechangeovertime;somethingthat

wasnotacultureinasocietycansuddenlydevelop

intoaculture.InthetimeofJesusbothmenand

womenputongarments,itistheirculture,andthere

isnothingwrongwithbeingtruetothecultureevenas

itchanges,aslongastheculturedoesnotopposethe

truth.Thedifferenceingendermustbeexpressedin

onewayortheother,itmustbeexpressedindressing,

andsoitisineveryculture.Eveninaculturewhere

menandwomenwearthesamecloththereisstill

somekindofdifferences.MiddleEastwomenwear

hijabsanddressverymodestly,infacttheyhave

proventhatwearingtrouserisaverymodestwayto

dressforwomen,muchbetterthanmostskirtwesee

womenweartoday.Aslongasinthedressingthereis

somekindofdifferencetoshowthatyouareafemale

inthatculture,andaslongasyouaremodestaboutit

andnotdressinglikeapromiscuousfemale,thenGod

isveryokaywithit.

For the west wearing trousers started as an

expressionofcovetousnessbutovertimeitdevelop

into a culture allowing those without such

covetousnessexpressthemselvesintheirpureand

truenature.Theycouldweartrousersandstilllook

veryfeminine,howeverevenastherearefeminine

trousers,thereisstillthedesireofthedeviltoexpress

aperversion.Yes,thedevilwouldnotrest,always

touchingeverythingwithhisdirtyhands,spreading

corruption everywhere.Now there are a lotof

indecenttrousersoutthere.Somearejustsotight

thatyou can hardlytellthe difference between

wearingthem andbeingnaked.Theyexposethe

shapeandeverycornerofthelady’sbody,evendown

tohervirginal—onecanseeitalloutthere.Achildof

Goddoesnotexpressindecency,wearesimpleand

wearemodest.Wearenotafterdrawingattentionto

ourselveslikethosewhoareinconstantneedtoget

theiregopampered.

Soifwecangetthatspiritofcovetousnessandthe

spiritofindecencyoutoftheheartofourladies,then

theyarefreetopurelyexpresstheChristinthem

howeverwayheistobeexpressed.Thisisourgoal;it

shouldbeourfocus;gettheheartcleanandfilledwith

Christandthenwatchasheisbeingexpressed.We

donotdictatehowChristshouldbeexpressed;heis

Lord.Wecanonlysubmit,remaintruetohim and

allowhim tofindexpressionthroughus.Ifonlywe

couldjuststoptryingtocontrolhim anddictatefor

him,ifwewouldjusttrusthim andallow him we

wouldfindthathealwaysexpresseshimselfno

matterwhat.Evenifculturechangetomorrowanditis

themenwearingskirtChristwouldstillexpress

himselfthroughthat,hewouldexpressdecencyand

manhoodwiththatskirt.Thedevilwantsustomakea

fussoutofthesethingsandgetdistracted,butChrist

knowshowtothrowbackatthedevilwhateverhe

bringsup.Mereclothhasnopowertodefileyou,let

thedevildohisworse;itisonlythatwhichcomesout

oftheheartthatdefilesone(Matt15:11).Whatisthat

thinginyourheartbeingexpressed,isitChristorisit

theflesh?Ifitistheflesh,thenyouaredefiledno

matterhowdecentandgoodyoulook.

Thedevilknowshowcarnalandimmaturewearethat

iswhyhebringsthesethings;heknowswewould

makeafussoutofit,fightbecauseofit,lose

fellowshipwitheachother,andbreakdownintomany

moredenominations.Hewantsthat;hewantstokeep

bringingconfusionamongussowewouldbetoo

busydebatingandfightingeachotherthatwewould

nothavetimetogrow.Truespiritualmenwouldlaugh

when theyseethesethings,ourwisdom isfar

superiortothewisdom ofthedevil,Christalways

outwitthedevilanduseshisplanagainsthim.The

devilwasexcitedthathekilledJesus;hedidn’tknow

thatitwouldbringaboutthesalvationofmany.While

theimmaturediscipleswerereadytofighttostop

Jesus from being killed,Jesus justsmiled and

allowedhimselfbekilled,thenhetwistedtheplanof

thedevilandusedittodefeathim.ThatiswhatJesus

alwaysdoes,andthosewhoarespiritualoperatethe

sameway,insteadofmakingafussoutofthese

thingstheytaketheplanofthedevil,twistitanduseit

todefeathim.

Ionlyusedthewearingoftrousersasacasestudy,

therearemanyotherwayswehaveemphasizedthe

wrongthingandfocusourresourcesoncleaningthe

appearancewhileneglectingtheheart.Wewagewar

againsttheminorthingandignorewhatreallymatters.

Anddon'ttellmethattheappearanceaffectsthe

heart.Thatmaybetrueforadeadman,butforus

Christianchangescomefrominside-out.Thatiswhat

makesusspiritualmen,weareawakenedtothespirit,

andittransformsusfrom insidetheheartandfinds

expressionoutwardly.Thespiritualmanfocuseshis

resourcesongettingthemancleanfrom theinside

andallowingthemantofreelyexpressChrist.

JudgingTheHeart

"ForthewordofGodisquick,and

powerful,andsharperthananytwo-

edgedsword,piercingeventothe

dividingasunderofsoulandspirit,

andofthejointsandmarrow,andis

adiscernerofthethoughtsand

intentsoftheheart."(Heb4:12).

ThewordofGodunveilsthedeceptionoftheheart;it

canrevealthatwhichoriginisoftheSpiritandthat

whichismerelysoulish.InChristianitywedealwith

livingthingsnotdeadthings;wedealwiththeliving

wordofGod,thatwhichproceedsoutofthemouthof

theFather.Thisiswhywemustremaininclose

fellowshipwiththeFather.Asyoufellowshipclosely

withtheLordHeunveilsthingstoyoubytheSpirit,

exposingthedeceptionoftheheart.Sometimeshe

mightdoitthroughotherpeople,orsometimehe

mightusesomethingyoureadasatooltoexposethe

truth,itmightnotevenbetheBible,itmightbe

somethingyoujustseearoundandsuddenlyyou

realizeyouhavebeendeceivingyourself.

Yes,giveyourselftoChristthelivingwordofGodin

you,lethimtakedominanceinyourheart,lethimrule.

Youhavetolethimascendthethroneofyourheart,

foronlyfromthethronecanhisjudgmentbeheard.If

youhaveotherthingsinthethroneofyourheart,his

judgmentwillbesuppressedandyouwon'tnoticeit,

youwon'tnoticeyourheartdeceivingyou.Butwhen

youmakehim themostimportantthingtoyou,the

dearestthing,yourhighestgoalinlife,yourgreatest

ambition,you ultimate purpose,your strongest

passion,yourtruestdesire,whenhehasascendsuch

heightthenhisjudgmentwillruleinyourheart.

Oh,ifonlyyoucangetChristruling,ifonlyyoucanget

himonthethrone,thenhewouldbringallthingsinto

conformitytohim,hewouldhelpyoutendyourheart

tillitisfullwithhisriches.Thenallyouwouldbeable

toexpress;allyouwillbeabletodoandsaywouldbe

nothingelsebutChrist.

CHAPTER10

RelatingWithThe

Godhead

IhaveseenmanypassionateChristianswhosincerely

wanttofollowGodandbesubmissivetoHim,but

theyendupdoingalotofstupidthingsbecauseof

lackofknowledge.SometimesweforgetthatourGod

isatriuneGodandyoucan'talwaystreateach

memberofthetrinitythesameway.Youcan'trelate

totheFatherthewayyourelatetotheSon,andyou

can'trelatetothetwoofthemthewayyourelateto

theHolySpirit.Becomingspiritualisbeingonewith

theGodhead(trinity),andhowcanyoubeonewith

somethingyoudon'tunderstand?Tobeonewiththe

Godheadyoumustknow how theGodheadworks,

howtheGodheadexists.

TheGodheadisself-sufficient;itneedsnothingto

survive,neitherdoesitrelyonanythingtoexist.Ithas

beenexistingallbyitself,insideitself,sinceeternity,

andwearecalledintotheGodhead.No,wearenot

calledtocomeliveinheaven;wearecalledintoGod,

toliveandexistinHim.ItisinGod(Christ)thatwe

areinheaven,andevenwhileonearthwearestillin

Christ.OurspiritualexistenceisintheGodhead,and

tobeawakenandfunctioninthisspirituality,wemust

knowhowtheGodheadworksandwhatisourplace

intheGodhead.

TheSpiritOfTheGodhead

Wewouldstartfrom theplaceoftheSpiritinthe

Godhead.EverymemberoftheGodheadhastheir

ownplaceandaroletoplay.Godisall-sufficient;

everythingHeneedsiswithintheGodhead,Hehas

beenexistingbyHimselflongbeforecreation;He

sustainsHimself.EverythingtheFatherdoes,Hedoes

bytheSpirit,andeverythingtheSondoes,hedoes

thembytheSpirit.ThisiswhyinScriptureweseethat

theHolySpiritisnotjustcalledtheSpiritofGod(the

Father);heisalsocalledtheSpiritofChrist.

“Butyearenotintheflesh,butinthe

Spirit,ifsobethattheSpiritofGod

dwellinyou.Nowifanymanhave

nottheSpiritofChrist,heisnoneof

his.”(Rom8:9).

“ForIknowthatthisshallturntomy

salvationthroughyourprayer,and

thesupplyoftheSpiritofJesus

Christ,“(Phi1:19).

“Searchingwhat,orwhatmannerof

timetheSpiritofChristwhichwas

inthemdidsignify,whenittestified

beforehandthesufferingsofChrist,

andtheglorythatshouldfollow.”

(1Pet1:11).

TheSpiritisthatenergybehindeveryoftheiractivity,

withoutwhichtheycannotdoanything.Tofunctionin

theGodhead,ortofunctionbytheGodheadtheSpirit

isneeded.Thisiswhyanyonethatistodotheworkof

GodneedstobeanointedwiththeHolySpirit;God

simplycannotworkthroughyouifyoudonothavethe

HolySpirit.EvenJesus,theSonofGod,whohadthe

veryfullnessofGod,neededtoreceivetheHolySpirit

beforeHecouldstarttheworkoftheFather.God

doesnoworkexceptbyHisSpirit.TheSpiritisthe

energybehindallHisworkings;howevertheSpiritis

stillaperson.

EverythingaboutGodisGodHimself;itisaperson

thatisHim.ThewordthatGodspeaksisaperson,it

isGod,thepowerthathedemonstratesisaperson,it

isGod,thewisdomthathehasisaperson,itisGod

(1Cor1:24),thelifethatheislivingisaperson,even

theenergythatsupportthatlifeisapersonanditis

God.GodisaverycomplexandcompleteBeing;there

isnotapartofhimthatisnotcomplete.

Spirit,LifeAndElectrons

Thescientistwilltellyouthatlife,whenyoustripeit

rightdown,itisbutaflowofelectrons.Themoment

electronsstopflowinglifecease.Theseelectronsare

theenergythatpowerandsupportlife.TheHolySpirit

isjustlikethatelectrons,thatenergy,poweringthe

lifeofGod.Yes,theSpiritistheenergypoweringGod,

justaselectricitypowersamachine.Thethingabout

electricityisthatthemoreofityouhave,themore

thingsyou can power.You can carryoutmore

functionswhenyouhaveenoughpower,butwhenthe

powerisinsufficient,youarelimited.Youcanonlydo

theworkofGodbasedonhowmuchoftheSpirityou

have.Yes,wehavethefullnessofGodinus,butyou

needtheHolySpirittopowerallthat,andthemeasure

oftheSpirityouhavedetermineshowmuchofthat

fullnessyoucanfunctioninormanifest.

“ForheissentbyGod.Hespeaks

God’swords,forGodgiveshimthe

Spiritwithoutmeasure.”(John3:34).

ThisscripturemakesusunderstandthatGodgives

HisSpiritinmeasures,butwhenitcametoJesus,He

pouredoutHisSpiritwithoutmeasures.AstheNew

TestamentpeoplewehaveaccesstoallofGod,itis

ourbirthright.

“Likeawillthattakeseffectwhen

someonedies,thenewcovenant

wasputintoactionatJesus’death.”

(Heb9:16).

TheNewTestamentislikeawill,andwhenJesus

diedallthatisGod’snowbelongtous.AllofGodis

ourinheritance,andweinheriteditallthemoment

Jesusdied.WhatIam tryingtosayisthatwehave

inheritedtheSpiritwithoutmeasure.However,allof

thisisonlytrueinthespirit,fortheNewCovenantisa

spiritualcovenantthathasnotfullymanifestedinthe

flesh.Wehavetostrivetohaveitmanifestinour

flesh.

SoinyourspiritliestheHolySpiritwithoutmeasure,

butforyoutomanifestthefullnessofGodyouneed

tohavetheHolySpiritwithoutmeasureinyourflesh

justlikeJesusdid.Wearesupposedtogrowinthe

measureoftheHolySpirit,andwedonotgrowby

askingGodtogiveusmoreoftheSpirit,forHehas

alreadygivenuswithoutmeasure.Thisgrowthtakes

placebyaligningtotherealityinthespiritandthrough

thefellowshipoftheHolySpirit.

Ithasallboileddowntorelationship,themore

intimate you getwith the HolySpirit,the more

measureoftheSpirityouwillget.Sotooperateinthe

fullnessofGodyouneedthemeasureoftheHoly

Spirit,andtogrowinthemeasureoftheSpirityou

needrelationshipandevenintimacywiththeHoly

Spirit.

ChristInTheGodhead

AfterseeingwhotheHolySpiritisintheGodhead,we

wouldnowlookintowhoChristisintheGodhead.I

didmentionthateverythingofGodisaperson,itis

GodHimself.HeisallthethingsHeneeds,Heis

sufficientinHimself.TheFatheristhesource,the

HolySpiritistheenergy,whilethesubstanceisthe

Son.

"HeistheimageoftheinvisibleGod,

thefirstbornofallcreation."(Col

1:15).

TheFatherandtheHolySpiritareinvisible;theHoly

Spiritisoftenlikedtothewindthatcannotbeseen

butcanbefeltandexperienced.TheSonisthe

substance thatmakes God visible.Whenevera

tangibleandobservableaspectofGodismentioned,

thescripturecallsitChrist.

"InthebeginningwastheWord,and

theWordwaswithGod,andthe

WordwasGod...AndtheWord

becamefleshanddweltamongus,

andwehaveseenhisglory,gloryas

oftheonlySonfromtheFather,full

ofgraceandtruth."(John1:1,14).

InthebeginningwasGod,yetwecouldnotseeHimor

observeHim.ThentheSpiritcameandhoveroverthe

faceofthewaters,yetwecannotseehimorobserve

him.Allwecouldobservewastheword,"lettherebe

light",andthenwesawpowerbeingdemonstratedas

thewholeofcreationcameoutofnothing,everything

sobeautiful,sowellcraftedinwisdom.

"ChrististhepowerofGodandthe

wisdomofGod."(1Cor24).

"I,wisdom,dwellwithprudence,and

Ifindknowledgeanddiscretion...

TheLordpossessedmeatthe

beginningofhiswork,thefirstofhis

actsofold...Whenheestablished

theheavens,Iwasthere;whenhe

drewacircleonthefaceofthedeep,

whenhemadefirmtheskiesabove,

whenheestablishedthefountains

ofthedeep,whenheassignedto

theseaitslimit,sothatthewaters

mightnottransgresshiscommand,

whenhemarkedoutthe

foundationsoftheearth,thenIwas

besidehim,likeamasterworkman,"

(Pro8:12,22,27-30).

"TheLordbywisdomfoundedthe

earth;byunderstandinghe

establishedtheheavens;"(Pro3:19).

"Itishewhomadetheearthbyhis

power,whoestablishedtheworldby

hiswisdom,andbyhis

understandingstretchedoutthe

heavens.Whenheuttershisvoice,

thereisatumultofwatersinthe

heavens,andhemakesthemistrise

fromtheendsoftheearth.He

makeslightningfortherain,andhe

bringsforththewindfromhis

storehouses."(Jer10:12-13).

Atthebeginningoftheworld,theonlythingabout

GodthatwecouldobserveisHisword,Hispower,

andHiswisdom,andallofthesethingsareChrist.

Christistheword,thepowerandthewisdomofGod.

AllthroughtheOldTestamentweseethevoiceof

God speaking,and the power of God being

demonstrated,theOldTestamentisfilledwithChrist.

TheSonisalsotheexpressionandthenatureofthe

Father.

"Heistheradianceofthegloryof

Godandtheexactimprintofhis

nature,"(Heb1:3).

WheneverGodisexpressed,thatisChrist,because

theexpressionofGodmakesGodvisibleandtheSon

isthevisibleimageofGod.Anythingatallthatmakes

GodvisibleisChrist,forthisistherolethatSonplay

intheGodhead.Itishisresponsibilitytounveiland

glorifyGod;makeHimmoreobservableandadmired.

ThisistheoccupationoftheSon;itisallabout

makingGodvisible.ThatiswhywhenGodbecame

fleshitwastheSon,heisalwaysfoundthereasthe

substancewheneverGodismadevisible.

TheSpiritAndChrist

IhavepreviouslyexplainedthattheSpiritismorelike

theenergypoweringtheGodheadanditfunctions.

AndIhavealsostatedthattheSpiritofGodisalso

calledtheSpiritofChrist.WhateverChrististheHoly

Spiritisthespiritofthatthing.WhenChrististhe

wordtheHolySpiritistheSpiritoftheword;when

ChrististhepowerofGod,theHolySpiritistheSpirit

ofthepowerofGod;whenChrististhegloryofGod,

theHolySpiritistheSpiritofglory;whenChrististhe

natureofGod,theHolySpiritistheSpiritofthenature

ofGod,andsoonitgoes.ThismeansthattheHoly

SpiritisnotjusttheSpiritofholiness,heisalsothe

Spiritofgrace,theSpiritofwisdom,theSpiritoflife,

etc.heisnowmanysided,multidimensional.

Itissoimportanttostateallthisbecauseifweare

seekingtogrow inthefullnessofChristwemust

understandhowmuchweneedtheHolySpirit.The

moreoftheSpiritofglorywehave,themoreweare

abletoexperienceandradiatethegloryofGodinus.

EverybelieverhaveChristthepowerofGodlivingin

them,thismeansthefullnessofthepowerofGodis

insideofthem,forChrististhefullnessofGod.

However,youcanonlymanifestthispowerbaseon

howmuchoftheSpiritofpoweryouhave.TheSpirit

beingmanysidedmeansthatyoumighthavemuchof

theSpiritoftheword,yethaveverylittleoftheSpirit

ofthepowerofGod.Eachaspectrequiresaunique

fellowship,howeverifyouareveryintimatewiththe

HolySpirititwillbeeasiertoadaptandflowinthe

differentfellowshipbecauseitisthesameSpirit.

TheHelperAndComforter

TothemembersoftheGodheadtheHolySpiritisthe

energythatpowerseverything,buttousbelievershe

ismorethanthat.Hedoesn’tjustpowertheGodinus,

healsocomfortsusandhelpsusgrowinChristand

God’sfullwill.

“NeverthelessItellyouthetruth;Itis

expedientforyouthatIgoaway:for

ifIgonotaway,theComforterwill

notcomeuntoyou;butifIdepart,I

willsendhimuntoyou.”(John16:7).

Thewordcomfortinthatversegivesapictureofa

parentcaringforachild.Jesuswasabouttoleave

andhesaid,‘Iwillnotleaveyoulikechildrenwithout

parents,likeorphanswhohavenoonetocarefor

them’.TheHolySpiritwassenttobeasamotherto

us,caringandcomfortingus;amongtheJewsthe

HolySpiritisoftenusedinfeminineterm,hecomforts

likeamother.Theworldisharsh,thetaskwewere

giveisthough,andhardtimesconstantlybatters

againstusaswavessmashingarock.Yes,weneed

comfort;weneedsomeonethatwouldstrengthenus.

TherewasatimewhenIwassosadandheartbroken,

andthensuddenly,outofnowherecamepeace,

blowinglikethewind,floodedmyheart,andliftedmy

spirit.Iwassupernaturallycomfortedandrestored,

that’swhattheHolySpiritdoes.Heknowsjustwhen

weneedcomfort,andhecomesinandpoursout

God’sloveonus.

“Andhopemakethnotashamed;

becausetheloveofGodisshed

abroadinourheartsbytheHoly

Ghostwhichisgivenuntous.”(Rom

5:5).

HewasgiventoshedtheloveofGodabroadinour

heart,tomakeusexperienceitinarealandlivingway,

thatwemightbecomfortedandstrengthened.

“Accordingtotheeternalpurpose

whichheachievedinChristJesus

ourLord:”(Eph3:11).

ChristfulfilledGod’seternalplanandleft,thenhesent

theHolySpirittobringthefulfillmentofthateternal

planofGodintomanifestation.Christhimselfisthe

fulfillmentofthiseternalplan,andwehavebecome

Christ.SowhereChrististheTruth,theHolySpiritis

theSpiritoftruththatwillhelpyouinthetruthand

guideyouintoalltruths.WhereChrististhepowerof

GodtheHolySpiritwillhelpyougrowinChristthe

powerofGod,andonewayHedoesthisisthrough

theninegiftsoftheSpirit.

TheninegiftsoftheSpiritisactuallyastrategyofthe

HolySpirittohelpyougrowinChristthepowerofGod

andfulfillyourportioninGod’seternalplan(eachone

ofushaveaparttoplayinGod’seternalplan).What

theHolySpiritdoesisthatheidentifiesyourportionin

God’seternalplanwhileyouarestilltryingtofigure

outyourrelationshipwithGod.TheHolySpiritdoes

notwastetime,hehasanassignmenttofulfill,sohe

movesfurtherbyselectingagiftthatisinlinewith

yourportionintheeternalplan,andthenhegivesyou

thisgiftandsovereignlybeginstomanifestthisway

inyourlife.Thesemanifestationswillcauseyouto

growinthatdimensionofChristthepowerofGod,for

thepowerofGodwhichisChristisunsearchablein

riches,ithasmanydimensionsandinfinitesides.

The HolySpirithelps you grow in this specific

dimensionusingamethodcalledtheforetaste.He

sovereignlycausesthisdimensiontomanifestinyour

life,andwhileyouarestrugglingtounderstandwhat

ishappening,you have more and more ofthis

manifestation,andsoonyouarebeginningtoseea

pattern. You are coming to understand this

supernaturalability,andwiththisunderstandingyou

arelearningtomanifestitatwill.Younolongerneed

towaittilltheHolySpiritsovereignlymanifestthis

ability,younowknowitwellenough,andhavemature

inittotheextentthatyoucanaccessitwheneveritis

neededandyoucanmanifestit.ThiswaytheHoly

SpirithascausedyoutogrowinChristthepowerof

God,andnowyouaredevelopedinthatdimensionof

thepowerofGodthatisinlinewithyourportionin

God’seternalplan,allofthesehappeningevenbefore

youfullyunderstandwhatyourportionexactlyis.

TheHolySpiritisamovingSpirit,hedoesn’twaste

time,hehasaworktodoandhemustfulfillit.

ThereforewemustalignwiththeSpiritandlearnto

moveinthespeedoftheSpirit.

ThePowerOfGod

IwanttousethepowerofGodasacasestudyto

showhowtheHoltSpiritisthehelper,whileChristis

thesubstance.AmongChristians,whentheword

powerismentioned,thefirstthingthatcomesto

mindisthegiftsoftheSpirit.ButthepowerofGodis

notjustanactofGodanditisnotjustthegiftofthe

Spiritbutitisaperson—Christ.

"ChrististhepowerofGodandthe

wisdomofGod."(1Cor1:24).

 ChrististhepowerthatGodmanifests;heisthe

powerthatpartedtheredsea,thepowerthatsinkthe

wallofJericho,thepowerthatcausedfiretofallfrom

thesky,shakethecivilizationoftheEgyptians,cause

mannatofallfromheaven,raisedthedead,healedthe

sick,wongreatvictoriesandgaveussalvation.Ithas

beenChristalltheway.NowbacktotheChristianand

thegiftoftheSpirit.IfChrististhepowerofGodwhat

thenisthegiftoftheSpirit.Wemustunderstandthe

relationshipbetweenChristandtheHolySpirit.One

functionoftheHolySpiritistheHelper.

"...theSpiritalsohelpsinour

weaknesses,"(Rom8:12).

AswepursueChristandhisfullness(maturityin

Christ) the Spirit helps us in the weakness

(shortcomings)ofimmaturity.Hehelpsusbygiving

usaforetasteofthatfullness.ChrististhePowerof

God,andaswegrowintoChrist,wearegrowinginto

thepowerofGod.Butinthestateofimmaturity,

wherewehavenotfullygrownintoChrist(thepower

ofGod)theSpiritcomestoouraidandallowsushave

aforetasteofthatfullnesseventhoughwehavenot

yetgrownintoit,hence,thegiftsoftheSpirit.

ThegiftoftheSpiritistheHolySpiritcomingtoour

aidinourstateofimmaturitytogiveusaforetasteof

thefullness(maturity).Thefullnessinthiscaseis

ChristasthePowerofGod.Sothroughthegiftofthe

Spiritweenjoynowafullnessthatweareyettogrow

into.Wehavenotyetgrownintoitbutweareenjoying

itviathegiftsoftheSpirit.YouseehowtheHelper

hashelpedus,seeingthatwewouldneedthispower

eventhoughwehavenotyetgrownintoit.Still,we

mustunderstandthatChrististhePower;heisthe

fullnesswemustpursue.Yes,theSpiritwillhelpusin

ourinfirmitiesandthatisgood,wecanalwayscount

ontheSpirit,butthatgiftoftheSpiritisnotthepower

itselfbutaforetasteofthatpowerwhichisChrist.

Sowhenwesaywearepursuingpower,wedonot

meanthatwearepursuinggiftsoftheSpirit,butwe

arepursuingChrist,thefullness.Andonthewayto

thatfullnessthefaithfulSpirithelpsus.Butwemust

notpitch ourtenton that"help",rathermoving

forwardtoattainfullness.Itissadhowmanyhave

pitchedatentonthehelp;theyhavefocusedonthe

helpandpursueditasifitisagoal.Thehelpisonly

theretoassistyouasyoupursueChrist(thepowerof

God).OurgoalshouldalwaysbeChrist.Thehelpis

notthefullness(thepower)butaforetasteofthat

fullnessthatiswhyitisverylimited.Wehavenine

giftsoftheSpiritbutthepowerofGodisunlimited,it

isinfinitelyrichanddiverse.Wearenottosettlewith

theninegiftsoftheSpirit,wearetostriveforfullness.

"...untilweallattainto theunityof

thefaithandoftheknowledgeof

theSonofGod, tomature

manhood, tothemeasureofthe

statureof thefullnessofChrist,"

(Eph4:13).

Ourgoalshouldnotbeforetaste;itshouldnotbethat

whichislimited.Godwantsnothinglessthanfullness

forus;hewantsustocomeintothefullnessofChrist,

thefullnessofHispower.

RelationshipWithTheFather

IntheGodheadtheFatheristhesource,Heisthe

sourceofeverything wehavebecomeinChrist,

thereforerelationshipwithHim isveryimportantin

living the Christian life.The source is also the

sustainer,HesustainsthatwhichproceedoutofHim,

foritisHisresponsibility.Yes,itistheFather’s

responsibilitythatyourChristianlifebepreserved,

sustainedandnurtured.Don’tthinkyouareinthis

alone,youhaveaFather,andHewantstotake

responsibilityofthatwhichproceedsoutofHim.You

cameoutofHim,youwerebornofGod,andHegave

you thislife,thisChristian life,so itisallHis

responsibility.

“Whichwereborn,notofblood,nor

ofthewilloftheflesh,norofthewill

ofman,butofGod.”(John1:13).

ByestablishingastrongrelationshipwithHim and

learningtosubmittingtoHimyouaregivingHimthe

chancetotakechargeofHisresponsibility.Weenter

thatfather-sonrelationshipwithGodwhereHeloves

uslikeafatherwilldo,careforusandthisChristian

lifethatHehasgivenus,andmentorusasafather

wouldmentorhischild.InthelifeofJesuswhileon

earth we see the pattern how this father-son

relationshipwithGodshouldplayout.Let’slookata

statementofJesus;

“Jesusexplained, “Itellyouthetruth,

theSoncandonothingbyhimself.

Hedoesonlywhatheseesthe

Fatherdoing.WhatevertheFather

does,theSonalsodoes. Forthe

FatherlovestheSonandshowshim

everythingheisdoing.Infact,the

Fatherwillshowhimhowtodoeven

greaterworksthanhealingthisman.

Thenyouwilltrulybeastonished.””

(John5:19-20).

TheSonwatcheswhatthefatherisdoinganddoes

thesame,doesthatsoundfamiliartoyou?Yeah,that

ishowachildacts,thechildwatcheswhattheparent

doesanddoesthesame,itisbasicsocialization.

Immediatelyyougetbornagainyoumustallowthe

Fathersocializeandmentoryou.Manyofusget

socializeandmentoredbyapastororsomepeople,

butGodisalive,Heisnotdead,andHewantsto

socializeHischildrenHimself.

“AsitiswrittenintheScriptures,

‘TheywillallbetaughtbyGod.’

EveryonewholistenstotheFather

andlearnsfromhimcomestome.”

(John6:45).

GodtheFatheristheonethatwouldteachthe

childrenHimself,andwhentheylearnfromHim,then

theywillcomeintoconformityandobedienceto

Christ.TheFatherwantstodoitHimself;Heisnot

assigningthisjobtoanyotherperson,notevenother

membersoftheGodhead.ThisistheFather’sjob,the

Holywouldnotcrossthelineandtakeoverthejobof

theFather,theSonunderstandshisownroleand

wouldnotreplacetheFatherinourlives.Yes,the

FatherteachusbytheSpirit,becauseeverythingthat

theFatherandtheSondotheydobytheSpirit.

However,itisnottheSpiritteachingyoubutthe

Father,thereisaplacewheretheSpiritofTruth

teachesus,andthereisaplaceofthefather-son

relationshipwhereitistheFatherteachingusbyHis

Spirit.

WemustbuildthatrelationshipwiththeFatherwhere

heteachesusHimself,wherewelearntoleanonthe

FatherandlearnofHim.LetHimsocializeusHimself;

letHimbeyourmentor.GotoHim,lettheHolySpirit

inspireyoutocry,“Abba,Father”,cryouttoknowHim

intimately,toworkwithHim asachildwouldwalk

with his father.Yourrelationship with God is

incompletewithoutafather-sonrelationship,youcan

haveawonderfulrelationshipwiththeHolySpirit

whereheempowersyoutodotheworkofGod,but

youstillneedthisfather-sonrelationshipwithGodthe

Father.Thereisnosubstituteforit,eventheworkof

GodyouaredoingitisthebusinessoftheFather;you

cannotbesooccupieddoingthebusinessofthe

FatherthatyouforgetrelationshipwithHim.

ConformityToTheIndwellingChrist

WehavetalkedaboutrelationshipwiththeFather,and

wehavealsotalkedaboutrelationshipwiththeSpirit

asheempowersustomanifestthefullnessofGodin

usandtofulfillourportionintheeternalplanofGod.

NowwewouldgointorelationshipwithChrist.Whois

Christ?Wehavedescribedhim asthesubstanceof

God;heisthefullnessofGodgiventous.Heisthe

powerofGod,therighteousnessofGod,theholiness

ofGod,thewisdom,thegrace,thesalvation,the

redemption,theglory,thelife,etc.ofGod,andwe

havethisChristinus.Hedwellsinusthatwemight

comeintoalivingexperienceinthefullnessofGod.

“ForGodinallhisfullnesswas

pleasedtoliveinChrist,”(Col1:19).

“ForinChristlivesallthefullnessof

Godinahumanbody.”(Col2:9).

“AndtoknowtheloveofChrist,

whichpassethknowledge,thatye

mightbefilledwithallthefullness

ofGod.”(Eph3:19).

God’sdesireisthatHisfullnesswillnotonlydwellin

ourhumanbody,butwillalsofillus.Yes,Hedesires

thatwemightbefilledwithHisfullness;Hewants

nothinglessthanfullnessforus.Christisthefullness

ofGodandwemustbeconformedtothisChrist,we

mustbefilledwithhim.

“Forwhomhedidforeknow,healso

didpredestinatetobeconformedto

theimageofhisSon,”(Rom8:29).

Wehavebeenpredestinatedtobeconformedto

Christ,Christwasplacedinusthatwemightbe

broughtintoconformitytohim.Yes,conformitytothe

indwelling Christ,allofthisisachieved through

relationship.AsweseekrelationshipwiththeChrist

thatlivesinus,wegrow consciousofhim,and

throughthefellowshipoftheHolySpiritwebecome

conformtohim.Youcannotenterintothefellowship

ofsomethingthatyouhavenotbecomeconsciousof,

somethingthatyouarenotawakenedto.Whenyou

becomeawakentoChristtheTruthyouwillenterinto

fellowshipwiththeSpiritofTruthandgrowinthe

Truth.WhenyouareawakenedtoChristthepower

andwisdom ofGod,youareabletoflourishinthe

fellowshipwiththeSpiritofGod’spowerandwisdom.

Thereisawayyoucanbecomesoawakenedto

Christthatitbecomeseasiertoflowinhim andbe

conformedtohim.ManyChristiansarenotawakened

totheChristinthem;theydonotevenknowhim.

ThereisadifferencebetweentheindwellingChrist

andtheindwellingSpirit.Whenyouareawakenedto

theindwellingChrist,youcanfeelthisholdinyour

heartdirectingyou,markoutboundariessothatwhen

youwanttodosomethingyourealizeyoujustcan’t,

theholdgetstighter,pullingyouawayfrom such

actions,youjustknowthatitisnolongerinyoutodo

suchthings,theChristinyouwillnotletyou.

TheChristinusislife,andwheneverwetrytodo

anythingoutsideofhim,wefeellikewearestepping

outoflife,wefeelthegripofdeath.Andwhenwe

eventuallydosomethingagainstthelife(Christ)inus,

theSpiritoftheLifestepsintoconvictus,becausehe

isthehelperandhisworkistohelpuswalkintheLife

(Christ).WecanbeawakentotheChristinuswhois

ourlife,ourrighteousnessandholiness,thepower

andwisdom ofGod,ourrestandsalvation,our

blessingsandriches,ourallinall,andwhenwe

becomeawakentohim,wewouldbecomeconscious

ofthe workings ofthe Spiritto bring us into

conformitytothisChrist,anditwillbecomeeasierto

alignwithwhattheHolySpiritisdoinginusandbe

trulyconformtoChrist.

BeingLedByTheGodhead

TheHolySpiritisthemovingSpiritchargewiththe

responsibility of bringing to manifestation the

fulfillmentofGod’s eternalplan.Christis the

fulfillmentofGod’seternalplan,wearemembers

(partorportion)ofChrist,andthereforeeachoneof

usisanembodimentofapartorportioninthe

fulfillmentofGod’seternalplan.Soeverythingthat

theHolySpiritisdoingineachoneofuslivesisto

bringtomanifestationthatportionthatwearein

God’s eternal plan. Every workings, every

manifestation,everyemphasisoftheHolySpiritinour

lives,whetheronmoralissues,ontheologicalissues,

onthesupernatural,onexperiences,andevendown

totheemotionsofourhearts(theHolySpiritcan

causeyoutohateorlikesomething,orevenbecome

passionateforitorgrieveoverit),areallmeantto

bringusto thefulfillmentofour‘calling’.Iput

quotationonthewordcallingbecauseitmeans

differentthingstodifferentpeople,buthereweare

onlyusingittomeantheportionofthefulfillmentof

God’seternalplanthatweareinChrist.

InChristeachoneofusisanembodimentofa

portionofthefulfillmentofGod’seternalplan,andas

wegrowinChrist,wegrowintothatportionthatwe

are,webecomethemanifestationofthefulfillmentof

thatportion.ThisiswhytheHolySpiritisveryconcern

aboutourgrowinginChrist,becauseourmaturityin

Christwillleadtothemanifestationofthefulfillment

ofGod’seternalplan.Yes,ourmaturityinChristleads

tothefulfillmentoftheworkoftheHolySpiritinthis

age.Iam statingallofthissothatyoumight

understandthateverythingthattheHolySpiritis

doinginyouisbothtomakeyoumatureinChristand

tobringyoutothefulfillmentofyourpurposeinlife,

yourcalling.SobyexaminingthethingsthattheHoly

Spiritisdoinginyourlifeyoucanbegintounderstand

God’splanforyourlife.Godwillnotexplaineverything

toyou,butbygatheringwhathehassaid,andwhat

theHolySpiritisdoinginyourlife,youcanpainta

pictureofwhatyouarebeingledinto.

ThroughhisworkingsinourlivestheHolySpiritlead

usintoGod’splanforourlives,andbyyieldingtothe

workingsoftheHolySpiritin ourlivesweare

followingintoGod’splan.TheFatherleadusinthe

placeofourrelationshipwithhim,aswewalkwith

himhecommunicateshishearttousandwelearnof

hiswillandfollow.Thisiswhyrelationshipwiththe

Fatherisveryimportant,herevealshishearttousand

welearnofhissecret.However,thereisalsothe

indwellingChrist,andthewayheleadsusisdifferent.

Heisinyouandheisthelife,wheneveryouwantto

doanythingoutofhimyouwillfeelthisgripofdeath,

andthenyouwillknowtowithdrawfromtakingsuch

actionandratherabideinChrist.Thisfeelingofthe

gripofdeathdependsonhowmuchyouknowtheLife

(theindwellingChrist).

IfyoudonotknowtheindwellingChrist,ifyouhave

notbecomeawakenedtohim,youwon’tbeconscious

ofthisfeelingofthegripofdeath.Howmuchdeath

youfeeldependsonhowmuchyouareawakenedto

theLifeandhowfarawayisthatactionfromtheLife.

YouabideintheLifeandallowtheLifeguideyouin

makingdecisions.WithintheLifethereareseveral

choicesofactionstotake,andoutsidetheLifethere

areseveralotheractionsthatthedevilandtheflesh

willpresenttoyou.Youchoosewhetheryouwantto

walkintheSpiritorwalkintheflesh,whethertoabide

inChristorwonderintodeathandyieldtothecarnal

man.Infact,thisisadecisionyoumakefrom the

momentyougetbornagain,becauseifyoumade

JesusyourLorditmeansthatyouhavemadea

dedicationtoyieldtohim,toabideinChristand

alwayswalkintheSpirit.

Ifyouaretrulybornagain,thenyourdecisionwill

alwaysbetochoosefromtheoptionsyouhaveinthe

Life.Howwouldyouknowtheoptionsyouhaveinthe

Life?Youknowbythinkingaboutthemwhileabiding

intheLife;yougetoutoftheflesh,manyofusmake

decisionsintheflesh.Butyoumustgetoutofthe

flesh;dowhateverworkstogetyououtoftheflesh

andtheholdorinfluenceofthecarnalman.Onceyou

aresureyouareoutoftheflesh,wraparoundthe

stronggripoftheLife,thenyoubegintothinkabout

theoptionsyouhave.YouwillfeeltheLiferepelfrom

someoption,theyarealientohim,andhecannot

acceptsuchoptions.WhatevertheLiferepelsfrom

youknowitisdeath,theoneshedoesnotrepelfrom

aretheonesyoumustchoosefrom.

Many of us Christians,our minds have been

conditionedtothinkGod’schoiceisalwaysone,butit

isnotalwayslikethat.Sometimestherearealistof

choicesthatarewithinGod’swill,andwearegiven

theopportunitytochoices.Godmakesitlikethis

becausehewantstotrainsonswhowouldbeableto

makedecisionsforthemselves,wisedecision.The

prideofeveryparentisthattheyhavesucceededin

trainingtheirchildrentowheretheycanmakegood

decisionsforthemselves,andtheydon’thaveto

comerunningtotheirparentforeverydecisionthey

wanttomake.

Parentswanttobeabletolookattheirchildren

decisionsinlifeandsay,“Yes,that’smychild,Itrained

him.Iamproudofhim,Iamproudofthedecisionshe

hasmadeinlife”.SotherearetimesthattheFather

willtellyouexactlywhathewantsyoutodoandthere

aretimesthathewouldsaynothingbecauseheis

training youto beableto makesomedecision

yourselfbyrelyingonHisseed(Life)inyou.

“WhosoeverisbornofGoddothnot

commitsin;forhisseedremaineth

inhim:andhecannotsin,because

heisbornofGod.”(1John3:9).

ThatscriptureissayingbytheseedofGodinyou,you

cannotsin.Godwantsustotakeupactionsbaseon

hisseedinus,becauseitisbythatseedthatyouare

ason,andwheneveryoumakeadecisionbytheseed

youaremakingadecisionasason.Weneedtolive

andwalkassonsofGod,weareoftenlostintheflesh,

andwespendmostofourChristianlifeinthestruggle

oftheflesh.Wearecalledtorest(abide)inChrist,

restinthelifeofGodinus,theseed.Soyouabidein

theLifeandallowtheLifeleadyou,Ialsomentioned

theSpiritoftheLifewhoseworkistoempowerusto

livebytheLifeandhelpyouastheHelpertofollow

theleadingoftheLife.TheHolySpiritistheSpiritof

theLifeandtheHelper,hehelpsusinfollowingthe

leadingofthelife,wheneverwearenotsensingthe

leadingoftheLifeandwearejustcarriedawayinthe

flesh,theSpiritcomesinandspeakstous,heguides

usthatwemightremainabidingintheLife.

TheSpiritOfWisdom

Now,becauseGodgivesustheopportunitytochoose

from theoptionswithintheLife,wisdom isneeded.

AlthoughalltheseoptionsarewithintheLife,theyare

notvoidofdifficulties.Sometimes,ratherthankeep

usfrom thefireGodchoosestowalkwithusinthe

fire.However,wecangoforthelessdifficultoption,

andwisdomisrequiredtoknowwhichoftheoptionis

lessdifficultandwouldsaveyoualotofunnecessary

stressinlife.TheFatherwantsustoneedwisdom,to

seeourneedforitandpressintodevelopit.His

desireistotrainwisesonsthatarecapableofmaking

wise decisions.Allthese are the reason why

sometimesGodwouldnotanswerourprayersandtell

uswhattodo,hewantsyoutodependonhisseedin

youandhewantsyoutodevelopwisdom.

Mosttimes,evenaswemakedecisionswithinthe

Lifeourfleshstillinfluencesit.Weusuallyendup

choosingtheonethatismorepleasingtotheflesh,

thewisestoptiontochooseareusuallytheonesthat

areharderonourflesh.Itwouldsaveusalotof

stressinourlivesandinourwalkwithGod,butitwill

requirealotofdyingtoself.RememberJesuswhen

hewasabouttogotothecross,hekeptaskthe

Fatheriftherewasanyotherway.Butthiswaywas

notjustthewisestwaybuttheonlywayasfarasthe

Fatherisconcerned,iftherewasanyotherwayJesus

wouldhavegoneforit.Thatisoftenhowwebehave,

facingthecrossanddyingtoselfisveryhardsowe

lookforanotherway,butthewayofwisdom isthe

cross.

“However,wespeakwisdomamong

thosewhoaremature,yetnotthe

wisdomofthisage,noroftherulers

ofthisage,whoarecomingto

nothing. Butwespeakthewisdom

ofGodinamystery,the

hidden wisdom whichGod,ordained

beforetheagesforourglory, which

noneoftherulersofthisageknew;

for hadtheyknown,theywouldnot

have crucifiedtheLordofglory.”

(1Cor2:6-8).

“God'spurposeisnowtoshowthe

rulersandpowersintheheavens

therichesofhiswisdomthrough

thechurch,”(Eph3:10).

ThroughtheCrossanditsresult(theChurch),God

hopetoshow thegreatnessandtherichesofhis

wisdom;his plan is to demonstrate his highest

wisdom,andthatiswhatthecrossis,itisthewisest

ofthewisestthing.ThisiswhytheFatherinsisted

thatitmustbebythecross,anyotherwaywouldbe

lesswise,andGoddoesn’twantanythinglessthanan

awe-stricken demonstration ofthe riches ofhis

wisdom.Thewisestwayisalwaysthewayofthe

cross,thatishowthewisdomofGodis,andifweare

totrulywalkinGodkindofwisdom,thenwemustdie

toself.

Wemustalwaysbereadytofacethecrossasmany

timesasitispresentedtous.Christisthewisdomof

Godinus,andwehavetheSpiritofwisdom,bythe

Spiritofwisdomwewouldknowwhichisthewisest

choice,butknowingthewisestchoiceandgoingforit

aretwodifferentthings.Ifyouareonewhoisalways

readytofacethecross,youwillalwaysmakethe

wisestchoiceandyouwilldevelopGodkindof

wisdom.Themoreyouchoosewisdom,themoreyou

willgrowinwisdom.

CentralityAnd

SupremacyOfChrist

IfwearegoingtomoveforwardasChristiansand

growinthefullnessofGod,wemusthaveChristat

thecenterofeverythingwediveinto;hemustbe

supremeoverall.Someofusarejustafter‘high

things’, while some place man’s tradition in

supremacy.Wewoulddoanythingtopreserveout

tradition,evengoagainstGod’sword.Christmust
