To Whom It May Concern:

I recently had the pleasure of supervising Christopher Lecznar during his student teachingplacement at Andover High School in the Bloomfield Hills School District in the wintersemester of 201L

Christopher is a self starter. He asked to be actively involved from the start and thencompletely and independently orchestrated his classes under two supervising teachers. He is creative and energized and is working from bell to bell in every class. Students areactively involved and are well prepared and expected to contribute.

Chris has initiated and implemented engaging activities which require students to think, participate, and apply their learning. In both world and United States history, he makesissues relevant to the students' world so that they can an".\yrze and integrate theinformation.

Experience in the military and the world travel associated with it have expanded Chris'world and, thus, the experiences he brings to the classroom. Chris goes out of his way tomake himself readily available for additional assistance for students.

Chris will be a welcome and exciting addition to a secondary staff, and I enthusiasticallysupport his candidacy.

Sincerely,

Beverly StoneCollege SupervisorWayne State University

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: This letter is to highly recommend Christopher Lecznar for a position as a secondary teacher. I supervised Christopher during his pre-student teaching and Community Of Learners classes at Wayne State University. He is highly motivated and student centered. I have personally observed a growth in him from a proficient to exemplary teacher for the following reasons: - knows the subject area content - organizes and implements effective instruction - utilizes appropriate classroom organization and manage- ment techniques - meets professional standards - selects appropriate assessment strategies - communicates and interacts well with staff and parents He has learned from experience how to make learning for his students relevant while enhancing their awareness, respect and appreciation for learning. Christopher is truly an effective urban educator: reflective, innovative and committed to diversity. Mrs. Curlene F. Collins Student-Teacher Supervisor Wayne State University cfc
