December 22th, 2019, Fourth Sunday of Advent

Joseph took Mary into his home. Matthew 1:24/ Isaiah 7:10-14/ Romans 1:1-7We can see Joseph as a man who clearly loves Mary. When an angel assures him in a dream that Mary’s child was conceived through the Holy Spirit, Joseph dares to believe. Joseph’s faith is richly rewarded. He becomes the foster father of Mary’s child. And he receives the honor of naming the child Jesus, a name that means “God saves.” / Matthew 1:18-24

“José llevó a María a su casa” Mateo 1:24/Isaías 7:10-14/ Romanos 1:1-7 Podemos ver a José como un hombre que claramente ama a María. Cuando un ángel le asegura en un sueño que el hijo de María fue concebido por el Espíritu Santo, José se atreve a creer. La fe de José es ricamente recompensada. Se convierte en el padre adoptivo del hijo de Mary. Y recibe el honor de nombrar al niño Jesús, un nombre que significa “Dios salva”. / Mateo 1: 18-24

Poinsettias: Every year, we ask for generous donations of Poinsettia flowers to decorate our church during the Christmas Season. Please bring them two days before Christmas. You may leave them in the church or in the parish office.

Flores de Nochebuena. Como todos los años, les pedimos sus generosas donaciones de Flores de Nochebuena para decorar la iglesia durante las Fiestas Navideñas. Favor de traerlas dos días antes de Navidad. Pueden dejarlas en la Iglesia o en la oficina parroquial.

CUARTO DOMINGO DE ADVIENTO: se enfoca en María que es nuestro modelo. Ella recibió a Jesús, nuestro Salvador, y lo dio al mundo.

ORACIÓN mientras encendemos la CUARTA vela en la Corona de Adviento (color morada). Al encender estas cuatro velas, en el último domingo, pensamos en Ella, la Virgen, tu madre nuestra madre. Nadie te esperó con másansia, con más ternura, con más amor. Nadie te recibió con más alegría. Te sembraste en ella, como el grano de trigo se siembra en el surco. Y en sus brazos encontraste la cuna más hermosa. También nosotros queremos prepararnos así en la fe, en el amor y en el trabajo cada día. ¡Ven pronto, Señor! ¡Ven a salvarnos!

The Fourth Sunday of Advent focuses on Mary who is our model. She received Jesus our Savior and gave him to the world.

PRAYER as we light the FOURTH candle on the ADVENT WREATH (purple candle). As we light these four candles on this last Sunday, we think of the Virgin, your mother and our mother. No one but she waited for you as anxious, with the greatest tenderness and the deepest love. No one but she received you with such a great joy. Like a seed of wheat is sown into ground you were sown into her and in her arms you found the most beauti-ful cradle. We also want to prepare ourselves in faith, in love and during our daily work. Come soon, Lord! Come to save us!

Christmas Wishes 2019When the shepherds came to Bethlehem they found Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus who was lying in the manger…. And as shepherds returned to their camps they were

glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen” Luke 2: 16, 20

On this Christmas Season, we wish and pray that the encounter with the newborn Jesus, our Savior brings us lots of Joy that God came to live among us, and may we share this joy with others, especially in the coming New Year.This Christmas Season we thank you for your support to this community that continues the mission of Jesus. Nuestros Deseos Navidenos 2019“Cuando los pastores llegaron a Belen, encontraron a Maria, a Jose y al niño Jesus

acostado en el pesebre… cuando los pastores regresaran a sus campamentos, estaban glorificando y alabando a Dios por todo lo que habían escuchado y visto” Lucas 2: 16, 20

En esta temporada Navideña, deseamos y oramos para que el encuentro con el niño Jesús nuestro Salvador nos traiga mucha gozo, de que Dios vino a vivir entre nosotros, y que podamos compartir este mismo gozo con los demás, especialmente en el Año Nuevo 2020. En esta Navidad les agradecemos su apoyo a esta comunidad, la cual continúa la misión de Jesús.
