It’s the first day of Vacation

care for the New Year

Welcome back to all our

Families.

We will start our activities by

making a 2018 calendar and

celebration hat.

For those who prefer

something a little more active

we will hold an elastics

completion and for those with

good lungs a blowing game!!

We are usually prefer a bit of

peace and quiet but today we

will encourage some noise

when we make

Maracas and Noise makers

and participate in

“The price is right”

and

“Charades”

Today we will all board the

bus and take a journey out to

Tobruk Farm at Maroota

where we will experience real

life on an outback station.

Enjoy Aussie damper and

see how billy tea is made on

the campfire, see stockmen

on horseback in action,

watch working sheep dogs

and sheep mustering as well

as sheep shearing, crack

stock whips and see an

amazing duck show.

Many Australians celebrate

Chinese New Year, also

known as the Spring Festival

or the Lunar New Year.

2018 Is the Year of the Dog

Today we will make origami

dogs and paddlepop stick

dogs as well as play games

like “where’s puppy” (a

version of blind mans bluff)

and “Fetch” ball games
