CHRISTMAS PARTY 2017 – MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
Well once again, thanks to everyone who participated, our Christmas Party was a great success. The Box Hill Golf Club provided a wonderful selection of Christmas treats for our enjoyment and their staff provided super service. The Thornbirds Committee really appreciate the positive feedback they received. It is heartening to see everything come together on the night. Thanks need to go to all who helped and especially Santa and his helper Elf for taking time from their busy schedule to join us in spreading Christmas cheer. Thanks to Olivea for being our photographer!

A MESSAGE FROM LYN I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your unwavering support and positivity this year.
We have certainly enjoyed some fun times, especially the Christmas Party which seemed to finish the year
off with a bang. Not sure if it was Santa and his elf coming but things did liven up after his visit.
Thank you to Karralyka who kindly lent us the red carpet and bollards for both Oaks Day and Christmas, it
certainly added a lot of style to both events! We all felt pretty important walking that red carpet didn’t
we? We have booked a morning at Karralyka in April next year which I hope you can all come to!
We have finished the year off in a strong financial position which is really very pleasing and we are about
to send the Hawthorn Football Club our payment for our sponsored players for 2018, Jack Gunston, Marc
Pittonet and Ricky Henderson, I feel certain you will all be happy with these players again!
I would like to thank the committee for all their endeavours this year and thanks to Jas for all she has done
and sorry to see her step down from her role.
On behalf of the committee I wish you all a very happy, safe and peaceful Christmas and a healthy and happy 2018 and we look forward to success both on and off the field!
